Red, RED, Red! Did I mention it's RED? Dreamy to wear and oh so retro! Straight out of the 50's, this dress is meant for you! Designed by Jonathan Logan....inside tag reads size '13' but see true measurements below. Also has metal (silver) zipper up the back.

Condition issues: Overall condition rating is very good although there are some minor stains (looks like dirt) which I have not attempted to clean-I prefer to sell my items in as-found condition so please recognize that it will need to be cleaned upon receipt. There are also a couple of tiny holes that do not detract from the 'look' but feel I need to mention them....Overall shabby look could be improved upon with professional cleaning and pressing.

The white crinoline is for looks only and is not included....if you must have the crinoline, however, feel free to convo me and I will be glad to put up a separate listing for $75.00. (it is quite dreamy in itself!) The last photo shows how the dress looks without the crinoline underneath.

Fiber analysis is inconclusive though it did burn after being relit several times and left a small, black, hard bead which is crushable. No discernible odor upon burning.

Measurements are as follows and are approximate with dress lying flat:

High waist (just under the bosom) is 24 inches
Hips: 36 inches
Bust: 28 inches
Length: 41 inches from top of strap to hem

Matching jacket has a 28 inch bust
Three quarter (to elbow) sleeves and
measures 14 inches from shoulder to hem.

Collins of Texas opened its doors in Medina, Texas in 1959, producing whimsical, happy handbags. Enid Collins, owner and designer, operated the company until 1970, when it was purchased by the Tandy Leather Corporation. The Collins company primarily made two types of bags - wooden box purses, and canvas bucket style bags. Each purse was hand decorated with paint, sequins and rhinestones in themed designs. Never intended to be fad creations, Enid Collins finished all of her handbags with leather trim, mirrors, brass findings and fasteners. They were intended to be good quality, fun day bags. A bit of glitz on the way to the grocery store!

This bucket style bag is entitled 'Wonderland'....the front features the trademark beads and buttons all over the front in orange, brown and yellow flowers and mushtrooms. I have been told that this design (Wonderland) is in high demand and hard to find.

Antique 1930’s Black Silk Shoes With Strap

These shoes date to the 1930’s and are fashioned of black silk with a burnished silver leather cut work at the sides and a cut work braid strap across the top.

Sides of the silk show small scuffs with some scuffs on the heel. Labeled the Foot Saver Controls the Arch inside and on the bottom. Bottom of shoe also has the size-7AA. Measures 3 inches across the widest point of the foot, 10 ½ inches following the natural curve of the foot, and a 2 inch heel in the rear.

Musty and decrepit-just like I like 'em!

purse 1 is white, pearlized lucite--can be carried as a clutch or with its super-long chain! chain folds in when being used as a clutch. made by 'Edies Accessory Stylists' (see photo of inside label). this little gem measures 7 inches long, 4.5 inches high and about 2 inches deep. chain is slightly faded with age-hardly worth mentioning but I like to be as detailed as possible. chain measures 20 inches long.

purse 2 is made by 'Comeco'. this purse has so many highlights but the best one is the ball clasp sprinkled with rhinestones. can be used as a clutch or using long shoulder chain. it's gold plastic but looks like metal--fabulous front and back rainbow inset is so dreamy! measures 4 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide...chain measures 22 inches.

pick up this two-fer girls...it won't last long!

Antique Fountain Pen-Archie Tegtmeyer-Circa 1900

Known as the 'Dean of Milwaukee Jewelers', Archie Tegtmeyer was instructed by his mother to be a watch-maker or a dentist, two careers sure to be successful. Archie chose to be a watch-maker and opened his first storefront in 1892. This purveyor of watches and baubles didn't retire until well into his 70's and held a grand open house in 1942--see this very interesting article:

This gorgeous fountain pen in incredible condition for its age--perhaps it has never been used? With a mother of pearl body with gold ferule, the pen measures 6.26 inches long. Many pens of this era were made with real gold but this one has not been tested to verify. The lovely pink, velvet box is a gem in its own right with a working closure. The box itself shows some very minor signs of wear due to age.

Inside of box reads 'Archie Tegtmeyer, Milwaukee, Wis". No discernible markings on the pen itself.

Pinky II-Second in the 'Pinky' Series-Summer Collection, 2009

When Pinky is first introduced in "Fonzie Loves Pinky Part 1", she's seen doing what becomes her trademark "hand thing" (she hits her hand against her right fist twice and then snaps). She wears very short, skin-tight white shorts, white boots, and has a pink shirt that's tied to show her stomach. Her other outfits seen are a silver jumpsuit trimmed in pink, a short-sleeved pink sweater with very short hot pink shorts and matching belt, and a pink hospital outfit, with a matching pink bandage. She obviously loves the color pink since she's called Pinky, but the nickname may also have to do with her red hair, though it's never said. She also has sidekicks known as "The Pinkettes".

Measuring 28 inches in length, this sassy necklace is perfect for everyday with a pink t-shirt and jeans or the elegant summertime wedding! This piece is hand-assembled using all vintage components consisting of three vintage bracelets, three gorgeous pink-floral brooches, bits of chain and closes with a toggle clasp.

Both dolls have their original raincoat, boots and tights. The doll in the purple coat has what appears to be some chew marks on one boot but the doll itself is in excellent condition. The doll in the light-colored dress has a different tone in her complexion so she may be an older model. The dress she is wearing is handmade by my friend, SueStitches--visit her Etsy shop! The original, lavender colored raincoat is included. Both dolls' tights are discolored under the boot area and one pair of tights has a small hole in it.

Each doll measures eight inches tall.

Just for your party, prom or perhaps an elegant wedding--An Art Deco fully lined Dresden Mesh purse by Whiting and Davis with silk lining inside.

The gold-tone frame is gilted and has a satin finish.

The mesh is in very good to near excellent condition but the inside, silk lining is frayed at the opening as you can see in the photo. There are also some very light, red streaks on a small section of the lining that could be lipstick but it is barely noticeable. The purse is still quite usable.

There is also an inner pocket.

The purse measures approximately five inches wide and seven inches long with and eight inch long gold, slinky strap.

Unique! Would be great for the prom or a wedding! Just the right size for a lipstick, compact, cell phone and hanky.

and memories of an era gone by.

Pre civil war Antique leather wedding shoes manufactured in Baltimore around 1840. These shoes are stamped on the sole of one of the shoes: "L. Perry & Co. MNFR. Baltimore."

Made of kid leather the shoes still retain the original silk ribbons and fine string to fasten the shoes to the wearer. They measure 9 inches long and roughly 2 1/4 inches wide.

There are definite condition issues with these shoes. These include some staining at the toes, some distress at the back seams and the interior of one shoe has small holes. They are too fragile to be worn. The shoes have the original leather heels and soles and a pencil written note that says these wedding slippers were worn by Kate Penelope Bankatt-Lynch, Columbia South Carolina.

They are in what I would call poor condition but still wonderful--they should probably be in a museum.

Something Blue-Summer Collection, 2009-Assemblage Necklace

Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

Each item in this poem represents a good-luck token for the bride. If she carries all of them on her wedding day, her marriage will be happy. "Something old" symbolizes continuity with the bride's family and the past. "Something new" means optimism and hope for the bride's new life ahead. "Something borrowed" is usually an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride. The borrowed item also reminds the bride that she can depend on her friends and family.

As for the colorful item, blue has been connected to weddings for centuries. In ancient Rome, brides wore blue to symbolize love, modesty, and fidelity. Christianity has long dressed the Virgin Mary in blue, so purity was associated with the color. Before the late 19th century, blue was a popular color for wedding gowns, as evidenced in proverbs like, "Marry in blue, lover be true."

My most extravagant piece to date, this necklace is quite specatular if I do say so myself! The photographs simply do not do it justice but I have worked hard to capture the sparkle.

Composed of a record five (!) vintage bracelets, a vintage necklace and a magnificent vintage butterfly centerpiece, this statement piece necklace measures a total 24 inches long...the center strand measures 20 inches long. Lots of rhinestones and aurora borealis beads make this necklace sparkle and gleam!

The necklace is a double-stranded piece with a stunning, two-strand, sterling silver clasp. Sterling silver jump rings are also used throughout.

Trilobe Indian-Made Antique Pin Cushion Pair

Trilobe hearts, often called Arrowheads, these pin cushions date to approximately 1910 and were most like made by the Iroquois or Mohawk Indians as give-a-ways or inexpensive souvenirs to tourists.

Stuffed with sawdust, each pin cushion has intricate beadwork. Although they are in what I would consider 'fair' condition, they are unique and hold an unprecedented amount of historic value. I'm finding it hard to part with them.

As you see in the photos, there are some stains on the back of each cushion and one has a small hole which I have not attempted to repair. I prefer to sell my items in 'as found' condition. Each cushion measures 6.25" by 6.25".

Leather heels measure nine inches from heel to toe on bottom of shoe. Buckle closure is somewhat rusty. Heels are 2.75 inches high. Shoe itself is very narrow. Approximate size five. Color is black.

Verrrry Vintage Victorian Shoes

Victoria probably wore these Victorian shoes when she was a wee girl....or they could've belonged to her mother if she had verrrry tiny feet.

Made of kid leather. Bottom of shoe from heel to toe measures 7.5 inches and they are very narrow.

The soles are in very good condition but the overall condition is fair to poor. All buttons are missing except for one on each shoe. The shoes have certainly seen their better days but are so full of memories and make a great conversation piece!
