Once you've made one of these bags, you will want to make them for everyone you know -- take one to the market and fill with groceries or take one to the library and fill with books or take one to the park as a diaper bag! This tote bag does it all! With strong straps that are securely sewn to the bag and double reinforced, this bag will carry as much as you are willing to haul! The finished dimensions of the bag are approximately 19"x19".

The pattern also comes with instructions and pattern for a zippered coin purse (large enough to fit a credit card and some cash).

Vintage rick rack apron

This half-apron has dark navy blue flowers on a white check background. Trimmed with matching navy rick rack, it is 18" long.

The apron was made as a store sample in my great-great grandmother's shop in the late 1940s or early 1950s and shows no signs of wear.

After having been stored for many years, it has been dry cleaned and is scent-free.

Apron with hand embroidery

This vintage apron was well-loved by a woman named Bess who hand embroidered her name on the waistband of the apron. I believe Bess was the nickname given to my great-grandmother Elizabeth by her mother.

The family owned a small shop and this apron might have been part of the collection of aprons that were made as store samples.

There are signs of wear and a small stain or two, but for the "Bess" in your life, this apron is charming and sweet.

The apron is 28" long.
