This is a 50 yard (45 meter) skein, hand painted by me. The "Night Wind" batch resulted in 2 slightly different shade variations, although all were painted at the same time. This listing is for the skeins that show a paler shade of purple - the blues are the same in all the skeins of the entire batch.

6-cord (cordonnet) means that there are 6 plies in all: there are 3 sets of 2 plies twisted together, with all twisted yet again in the opposite direction. The result is a very smooth, durable thread with outstanding body.

The base thread is DMC Cordonnet Special. This is mercerized, very strong, tightly twisted, lustrous, hard-wearing thread suitable for heirlooms, wearables, and decorative designs. I used Procion MX dyes to hand paint it. This is a lovely thread for tatting or other lace work.

The Procion MX dyes I used are very lightfast and colorfast. Items made with this thread can be washed in warm water by hand or machine, but no bleach. Air dry or machine dry low. Suitable for intermediate level tatters, the only techniques used are those that can be done using one shuttle and a ball of thread. Needle tatters will probably enjoy this pattern as well. The doily is made in 11 rounds, with tie/hide/cut between rounds. When finished in size 30 crochet cotton, the doily measures about 10 inches (26cm) across. The finished size will vary according to the size of thread used.

This is my original design, which I have prepared in pdf format. It contains written instructions in English, and several partial diagrams.

Techniques used are rings, chains, picots, normal joins, lock joins, and some celtic style overlapping of motifs (but no knotwork). Any kind of tatting shuttle will work to make this pattern.

It's famous because this is one of my necklaces that appeared in Belle Armoire Jewelry Winter 2009.

My original design, which I shuttle tatted in durable 6 cord cotton thread, combined with polymer clay pieces that I made also. Glass beads are worked into the design as well.

Adjustable from about 16 inches (40 cm) to about 18 inches (46 cm), by inserting the gold plated hook fastener into any of the tatted rings at the opposite end.

Lovely antique Victorian look.

These are shuttle tatted, which means that they are made of many tiny knots, each tied by hand. This is my original design. The pattern is also offered in my shop, should you wish to make your own.

The thread used is a tightly twisted 6-cord cotton. The posts and charms are brass.

Each earring hangs about 2 inches (5cm) below the post and is about 1 inch wide (2.5cm).

This is a 100 yard (90 meter) skein, hand painted by me, with high quality dye.

It's a laceweight soft luxury yarn - 50% merino wool/50% silk, measuring 30 wpi. Wonderful for lace knitting, crochet, or handweaving. Or, triple strand to equal a sport weight.

Hand washing is recommended for items made from this yarn. Lay flat to dry.

The Procion MX dyes I used are very lightfast and colorfast. Since this yarn contains wool, the dyeing procedure for wool was followed. I washed and rinsed the yarn very thoroughly after dyeing to remove any unactivated dye, so it should not need any prewashing before using it in your project.

Colors inspired by an autumn leaf. Very similar to my "Sugar Maple" batch, but there is no red in this one.

This is a 3 cord (3 ply) crochet cotton, and it is a softer thread - as compared to a 6 cord (6 ply) thread of similar size.

It is a 50 yard (45 meter) skein, hand painted by me.

The base thread is DMC Cebelia, a lustrous, smooth, mercerized, bedspread weight cotton, with 3 plies.

The Procion MX dyes I used are very lightfast and colorfast. Items made with this thread can be washed in warm water by hand or machine, but no bleach. Air dry or machine dry low. Iron on the permanent press setting. I washed and rinsed the thread very thoroughly after dyeing to remove any unactivated dye, so it should not need any prewashing before using it in your project.
