I have always loved the way the edge of a piece of glass looks once it has been ground down...so frosty and smooth. The pendant in this necklace showcases just that...the edges of glass, stacked neatly together with sterling silver wire.

*SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT THIS LISTING: Some pendants that I created in this style were made with thicker glass than the pendant photographed for this listing, so there will be THREE slices in the bundle instead of four, like shown. The proportions will be the same though! (Also, I know the sterling wire looks dark in some photos...I want to assure you that it is NOT tarnished in any way---its just the lighting. All silver is bright and shiny!)

The glass is absolutely beautiful when stacked together like this...I had no idea it would turn into a sea foam color until it was finished...what a pleasant surprise! The glass changes color slightly, dependant on what is behind it as well…you can see a little bit of that in the photos. Also, when you look through the non-frosted part of the pendant, there is an iridescent rainbow of color…I tried to capture a bit of that in the photos too...as well as how pretty the pendant looks with light coming through it.

This particular pendant has a tendency to rock back and forth when you wear it…meaning; it doesn’t lay flat against your skin on the frosted side of the glass (this is due to the thickness of the pendant). However, I think that it adds wonderful character and movement to the piece, and allows you to see both sides of the pendant when wearing it, and they are equally beautiful. I wanted to note this though, in case any of you are bothered by jewelry with movement to it.

These pendants take an incredible amount of time and skill to create, hence the price difference between them and my other pendants (not to mention the amount of sterling silver wire involved in the wrapping process). I cut and grind each piece of glass by hand, making sure that they are the same size. The glass is notched where the wire rests to ensure a secure hold...and again, each piece is notched individually.

Measurements for the glass pendant: 2.5cm long x almost 1cm wide, and just over 0.5cm thick.

This pendant will come on a sterling silver cable chain (1mm) as shown in the photographs...it is a delicate but sturdy chain. Choose between 16" or 18" in length...just leave the length you would like in the notes to seller during checkout.

Surreal and slightly haunting...this pendant features a beautiful photo of an orchard tree in full bloom. It would make a lovely gift for someone special, or for yourself...

The image in this piece was created by Robert, printed on high quality satin photo paper, and wrapped up into the pendant by me; using glass that I cut and grind myself, and sterling silver wire. The glass on the back of this pendant is black.

Measurements for the pendant are approximately 1.5" (4 cm) long by 1" (2.5 cm) wide.

PLEASE NOTE: The paper is highly water *resistant* and can stand up to getting wet, but please do not wear any of these pendants while swimming or bathing! Thanks!

The lighting is playing tricks, and all silver is shiny and bright).

The glass is absolutely beautiful when stacked together like this...I had no idea it would turn into a sea foam color until it was finished...what a pleasant surprise! Measurements for the glass pendant: 1cm long x 2.5cm wide, and just over 0.5cm thick.

The pendant comes on a delicate (1mm) sterling silver cable chain, either 16" or 18" long...your choice (let me know what length you want in the message to seller during checkout). Red Tree Pendant---Art Glass Pendant

One of my most popular designs, this pendant features a hand-painted tree...perfect for artsy people and nature-lovers!

I drew the tree on a piece of hand-painted watercolor paper. The color on the paper is lighter in the center, to add emphasis to the tree, and gradually gets darker as it goes out to emphasize the paper's edges. This original artwork is set between two pieces of glass that I cut and grind myself...one clear in the front, the other black in the back. The glass is wrapped with sterling silver wire and is attached to sterling jump rings.

This art is created with high-quality watercolors and acid-free archival ink, and done on archival acid-free paper. The finished painting is coated with highly water *resistant* varnish, which also helps protect from yellowing and UV rays. These pendants stand up to getting wet, but I still would not advise swimming or bathing in them.

The measurements for this piece are just under 1" (2.5 cm long by just over 1" (2.5 cm) wide...its almost square, but not quite. A quarter is included in the last photo to give you an idea of this pendant's size.

This pendant comes complete on a generous length of black cotton cord.

This one-of-a-kind (ooak) pendant features beautiful batik cloth between two pieces of glass that I cut and grind myself, one clear in the front and the other white in the back. The glass is notched where the sterling silver wire rests to ensure a secure hold. This particular design is what I like to call my "slender pendant" because it is held together by one wire wrap instead of two. Very elegant and unique.

To create this unique piece of jewelry, I first painted a piece of torn paper with Phalo Blue watercolor, making the edges of the paper darker than the center to emphasize the ragged edges, and then drew on the tree design. I then set the artwork between two pieces of glass that I cut and grind myself, one black in the back and the other clear in the front. The pendant is held together by sterling silver wire that attaches to sterling jump rings, and the glass is notched where the wire rests to ensure a secure hold.

This is a pendant featuring a PRINT of an original drawing by yours truly. I drew this colorful lotus flower in pen and ink, scanned it into my computer, and printed the design off on acid-free Satin Photo paper (which is highly water-resistant, by the way).

I cut and grind all the glass by hand, and the glass is notched where the sterling silver wire rests to ensure a secure hold. The glass backing for this pendant is an black, and is intentionally a bit larger than the image area to create a "frame" around the design. All metal components used in this pendant are sterling silver, to bring you the highest quality.

The inks used in the printer are archival...so this pendant is made to last you years and years! The print is highly water-resistant, but like all of my pendants I advise against swimming or bathing while wearing them.

The measurements for this piece are approx. 1" (2.5 cm) long by just under 1" (2.5 cm) wide...it isnt quite square, but close.

Green River Glass Pendant---Art Glass Pendant

I think you'll be seeing much more of this new series! I am so pleased with how these pieces turned out...they are earth-friendly and elegant additions to any wardrobe.

This pendant is made of glass and sterling silver wire. The glass was collected from the banks of the Tennessee River, near where I live, during the winter months when the water level is lowered by the many dams along the river. The water is lowered to aid migrating birds, especially waterfowl, on their long migration south (they need marsh lands and shallow waters in which to feed...most waters in the area are too deep for this, so controlling the levels via dam to create winter-marshes was the solution)...isnt that interesting and wonderful???

The glass is very thick...some of it is really, really old, and tumbled by its journey down the river. The river tumbles it into a rough form, which I then take and shape into a pendant. The green glass is especially beautiful and almost glows from within.

This particular pendant measures 3/4" wide by about an inch in length...perfect for everyday wear. It has a slightly irregular shape to its thickness...truly organic in form. All of the metal I use is sterling silver, to bring you quality and timelessness. The pendant comes on a generous length of cotton cord, ready to wear.

A delicate (yet sturdy) piece of milky green glass hangs from a simple handformed sterling silver hoop. Simple yet unique...this would make a wonderful gift, for yourself or someone special ; )

I cut and grind each and every piece of glass I use in my jewelry by hand. The glass is notched where the sterling silver wire rests to ensure a secure hold. The entire pendant, from the top of the bail to the bottom of the glass, measures 1 3/4" (4.4 cm) long. The hoop itself is just under 1/2" in diameter. The pendant in this necklace showcases just that...the edges of some beautiful green-swirl stained glass, stacked neatly together with sterling silver wire (I know the wire looks dark in some of the photos...I want to assure you that is not the case. The lighting is playing tricks, and all silver is shiny and bright).

I think the glass is absolutely beautiful when stacked together like this...the different layers within the stained glass show up as lines ranging from almost white to dark emerald green. The pendant seems to glow in sunlight...so pretty.
