There's a little bit of something for everyone in this bracelet. The maille box chain weave ties together lovely Southwest turquoise, natural shell for the beach lovers, an Asian influence in the pattern on the focal bead, as well as an art deco clasp. Take a tour around the world and in time as you wear this very durable bracelet. It looks great alone or paired with other chains or turquoise strands.

This bracelet measures 8 1/2". The chain is made from bright aluminum jump rings that I coil and cut myself. Bright aluminum is extremely light (1/3 the weight of steel) and is commonly mistaken for sterling silver. Plus, it is tarnish resistant.

The Fool - Euro 4-1 Chain Maille Necklace with Dags

This necklace is yet another example of why I love the classic Euro 4-1 chain maille weave so much: all of the variations that can be made with it as a base. Simply by altering the amount of jump rings in each row of the necklace, dags (or daggers) are created. The dags in this necklace remind me of the typical court jester's costume, thus the name The Fool.

The Fool measures 19 1/2" including a 1 1/2" extender chain to vary the length of the necklace. The dags alternate in length from 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" from the top of the necklace collar to the bottom of the dag. The Fool was made using bright aluminum jump rings which are extremely light and so shiny that it is typically confused with sterling silver.

Chain Maille Bishop's Mantle

The traditional use of a chain maille bishop's mantle is as armor that protects the neck, shoulders, and upper chest from blades. A nontraditional use of this piece is as a capelet as shown in the femaille model pictures.

Historical methods of weaving were used in the creation of this mantle, including expanding Euro 4-1. This piece represents countless hours of work with approximately 3000 16 gauge 1/4" ID bright aluminum and copper rings all coiled, cut, and hand woven by me with seamless closures. Because it was made using bright aluminum (which is 1/3 the weight of steel) and a single row of copper, it weighs only 6 oz.

Maille will protect against an edge of a weapon, however padding should be worn underneath for additional protection. Please note, that any injuries resulting from improper use of this costume grade armor are the sole responsibility of the wearer. I do offer a lifetime guarantee on all of my work. If with normal wear, your chain maille is damaged, I will repair it for only the cost of shipping. Trust me, I will know if it is not 'normal wear.'

There are many options to customize this piece for your individual taste: a high collared neck with a draw string can be added, different metals used, additional length, or even daggers around the bottom edge. I love custom work and will design a piece to your request. Simply convo me to start discussing your ideas! This is a custom made piece and will not ship out immediately.

The name of these earrings is derived from the name of the chain maille weave used to create them (Japanese 12-2) and their shape (a cross). Such sweet little earrings!

Made with bright aluminum wire, these earrings are surprisingly light. Surgical steel ear wires; 1" long.

Snowflake Necklace

*Although for sale, this piece is also my submission for the Fantasy Artists of Etsy Street Team's Snowflake Fantasy contest. (To see works by other members of the team just type "faeetsy" in the search bar above!)*

A delicate Japanese weave was used to make the snowflake with a freshwater pearl dangling just below to signify freshly fallen snow. The snowflake is attached with a mobius ball so that it can move freely along the chain. The chain was made using a simple 2-2 maille weave so as not to distract from the beauty of the snowflake. The necklace comes complete with a handmade brushed metal clasp.

The snowflake measures an 1" across and 2 1/4" long, including mobius ball and pearl dangle. The chain measures 19 1/2", including the clasp. This elegant necklace was made with different gauges of bright aluminum wire. I start with simple wire, coil it to the different sizes necessary, cut it, and weave it into the lovely patterns you see now (approximately 400 rings). Bright aluminum is highly tarnish resistant, 1/3 the weight of steel, and so shiny that it is commonly mistaken for sterling silver.

Titanium Stretch Chain Maille Choker

I love the unexpectedness of this piece: nobody expects chain maille to be a stretchy choker. It's almost lace-like worn as a choker, but the black stretchy rings and the indigo anodized titanium give it a much more hardcore look.

It's made using the classic Euro 4-1 chain maille weave using anodized titanium in blue and EPDM rubber rings in black. EPDM is UV resistant and is surprisingly light. Titanium is an amazing metal and half the weight of steel. Sometimes the anodized titanium color can be affected by the oils from your skin -- simply wash with soap to remove the oils.

The price of the bracelet is $33 and the choker is $30. Buy them both for a total of $57 and save 10%. If you'd like the set, purchase both items and wait for a revised invoice before you pay. The set will come packaged in a blue jewelry box ready for gift giving.

Stretch Diamond Chain Maille Finger Armour - Copper and Bright Aluminum

Traditionally, armour of old was made using riveted stainless steel rings. This finger ring is a modern take on it by updating an ancient chain maille weave using stretchy rubber rings.

The weave used in this piece is Japanese 12-2 in a diamond pattern using copper, bright aluminum, and rubber rings. The copper and bright aluminum jump rings were coiled and cut by hand by me. Because each metal was used on alternating sides of the diamond, you basically have two rings in one! The diamond is 1 1/4" long and just shy of 1" across. One size fits most.

My mom has an amazing dog: she's an Akita named Katie. The thing is, Katie is 150 lbs. and usually mistaken for a boy. I told my mom that I was going to make her a collar for Christmas and her only request was that it make her look like a girl. The Katie Collar was born by making rosettes out of the classic Euro 4-1 chain maille weave. If you too, have an adorable girl dog who is commonly mistaken for a boy, this collar will surely help.

This particular Katie Collar is available in size Large (19"-28"). I will custom make this collar to your requested measurement between 19"-28". For example: if you request a 20" collar, there will be enough extender rings to accommodate between 19"-21" to allow for weight fluctuations. This collar was made using bright aluminum rings and is 1" wide. There is a swivel clip on the end with enough rings to allow a 2" variance in your requested size measurement. Euro 4-1 Chain Maille Bracelet with Dangles

Euro 4-1 is probably the best known chain maille weave: this is the weave seen most commonly in armor. Although associated with armor, this bracelet is made a bit more feminine with the lovely lilac glass beads dangling from it. Bracelet measures 7 1/2" with a 1" extender chain and made of stainless steel rings (highly rust and corrosion resistant). This bracelet is slightly heavier than sterling silver and has a nice weight to it.

Gaia is a Greek Goddess also known as Earth Mother. She is the earth and all the power of the earth. Gaia was the original deity at Delphi, for she is the giver of dreams, mantic oracles and prophecies. She is a reminder that we must ground ourselves in the reality of nature and incorporate all sides of ourselves, be they pleasant or unpleasant, light or dark. All bodies eventually return to her, into the black, fertile earth, to be devoured and to receive her life to live again.

This multi-strand bracelet is made from pure copper. It was upcycled by stripping electrical wire to the gorgeous copper wire beneath. All rings were hand coiled and cut. The S clasp was made by hand as well. Wood chips comprise the second strand, complemented by seed beads. The bracelet measures 8" long.

Trying to add a touch of class to the bawdy great hall? These napkin rings will do the trick! They won't break if a brawl breaks out nor will they rust if a bit of wine spills on them. They were made using extremely strong and durable stainless steel rings; stainless steel is also corrosion and rust resistant. Lovely blue glass beads, reminiscent of sea glass, adorn them with little rosettes on either side. With regular use, stainless steel will remain quite shiny. However, if you notice that they are dulling, just wash them with some hot, soapy water and they'll be shiny once again. 1 1/2" diameter.

Hana Gusari Chakra Anklet

The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body that run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each of these energy centers has a specific color and symbol and control different aspects of the body and being.

Japanese chain maille was more often than not used as a decorative element or in combination with padded steel plates or to connect plated armor. It is not as strong as it's European maille cousins, but this flexibility gives this maille a beautiful flow to be used as jewelry.

The Hana Gusari Chakra Anklet is made using bright aluminum jump rings coiled and cut by hand. Each dagger off the chain has a Swarovski crystal wire wrapped securely to represent each of the seven chakras. The anklet measures 10 3/4" with a lobster clasp closure.

This fun, summertime, hippy style choker necklace is infused with lovely flower glass beads. They are set inside a Romanov pattern in the Byzantine chain maille weave. These wonderful earth tone earrings contain freshwater pearls in green and golden brown, beautiful faceted smoky quartz, and rich gold vermeil findings.

I told my mom that I was going to make her a collar for Christmas this year and her only request was that it make her look like a girl. Traditionally, armour of old was made using riveted stainless steel rings. This finger ring is a modern take on it by updating an ancient chain maille weave using stretchy rubber rings.

The weave used in this piece is Japanese 12-2 in a flower pattern using copper, bright aluminum, and rubber rings. The copper and bright aluminum jump rings were coiled and cut by hand by me. The diamond is 3/4" long and 1" across. One size fits most.

Once upon a time I was a dog sitter for this amazing Ridgeback named Dewey. He was an absolute sweetheart and had the most amazing amber coat. If you've never seen a Ridgeback, their coat runs up their back along their spine (as opposed to down their back like the rest of their fur). I made this bracelet because I love copper and these wonderful stretchy rings, but when I was done, all I could think about was Dewey's beautifully colored coat and the wonderful ridge running down his back.

This is the perfect accessory for any Ren Faire or SCA enthusiast!

A coif is a basic piece of chain maille armour used to protect the head, neck, throat, and upper chest. Some coifs come as just head and neck protection, this listing is for a full coif with mantle (the portion that protects the throat and chest). This is the same style coif that you saw Aragorn wear in The Lord of the Rings.

Historical methods of weaving were used in the creation of this coif, including expanding Euro 4-1. This piece represents countless hours of work with approximately 6000 bright aluminum rings all hand woven by me with seamless closures. Because it was made using bright aluminum (which is 1/3 the weight of steel), it weighs just shy of 2 lbs.

Bright aluminum rings, 16 gauge, 1/4" ID: These rings are a good strength for use in combat grade armour and will work for SCA armour. Maille will protect against an edge of a weapon, however padding should be worn underneath for additional protection and a helmet is also commonly worn. Please note, that any injuries resulting from improper use of this coif are the sole responsibility of the wearer. I do offer a lifetime guarantee on all of my work. If with normal wear, your chain maille is damaged, I will repair it for only the cost of shipping. Trust me, I will know if it is not 'normal wear.'

Measuring 3/4" wide and stretchy enough for most wrists, this bracelet is variation of the classic Euro 4-1 chain maille weave. It was made with copper and EPDM rubber rings in black. EPDM is UV resistant and is surprisingly light.

Will copper turn your skin green? Copper oxidizes by darkening and then turning green, just as sterling does so by tarnishing and iron does so by rusting. It's a natural process and the environment determines how quickly it happens. It happens faster in high humidity, but the speed of oxidation is also affected by the body chemistry of different people. Some people wear copper every day and it never turns green (like me) and some people wear it and it turns in one day. Some people can turn sterling dark in one day, too. We're all different in that way. I am by no means an expert, but there is a lot of anecdotal evidence to suggest it might help people with arthritis.

This hardcore wallet chain doesn't mess around. It is 23" (1/2" wide) of extremely strong stainless steel in the box chain weave. There's a swivel clip on one end and a split ring on the other. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant and has a nice weight to it. It's a beautiful dark gray/silver color and is very easy to care for. With regular use, it should remain shiny. If it does start to dull, just wash it in some hot, soapy water and the shine will be restored.

This adorable little puffed heart piece of chain maille was made using the hana gusari weave. Fairy Lariat Necklace

This necklace was inspired by the FAE Street Team's contest theme of fairies.

There is an adorably whimsical flower fairy pendant featured on this necklace. She's sterling silver with a small garnet towards the bottom. She measures 1 1/2" long and 3/4" wide. There are three beads wire wrapped and connecting her to the byzantine chain. These beads represent the flowers she dwells among: the bottom bead is wood for the stems, the middle bead is an emerald green Swarovski crystal for the leaves, and the top bead is garnet for the petals and to match the stone on the pendant. The byzantine chain is one of the oldest chain maille weaves in existence. All of the jump rings that the chain is comprised of, were coiled, cut, and woven by me. There are approximately 1100 bright aluminum rings in this chain, measuring 36" long (including the fairy pendant). It can be worn double wrapped around your neck, as a super long necklace, or even as a multi-strand bracelet.

I made a bracelet very similar to this one for my best friend's first Mother's Day last year. Carry your little one or any loved one with you always. The plastic covering on the frame pops out easily for you to slide in any small picture.
