This little tote is perfect for carrying essentials like a checkbook, phone, and wallet and is loaded with bright, happy colors (lime green, turquoise, and a touch of purple).

It's made of 100% wool which was knitted then fulled. The tote is approximately 7.5 inches (19cm) high and 8 inches (20.3 cm) wide. Its straps are about 5 inches (12.7 cm) high when doubled together to carry in hand or as a wristlet. If cinched with one end of the strap pulled through the other end, the strap has about an 11 inch (28 cm) drop--long enough to hang off the shoulder.

The last picture in the series is of the inside of the tote~~almost identical to the outside.

The tote can be handwashed in cold water and allowed to air dry.

One of my original designs, this quick and easy knitting pattern makes a roomy, sturdy bag once it's fulled in your washing machine. The pattern can be easily adapted to your liking--change the width of the stripes, take the stripes out all together, add embellishments or not . . .whatever your heart desires.

The finished size is approximately 11 1/2" high by 11" wide (depending on yarn and felting method used). The featured tote used under 670 yards of worsted weight 100% wool yarn (one skein of each of three colors) and just a touch of freehand needle felting. The variation also pictured uses two colors of yarn--a variegated yarn for the body and a coordinating, solid color for the base, top edging, and I-cord strap.

Speaking of the strap, it's placement offers options so you can wear it long and over your shoulder, or short and over your arm. You can change from short to long and back again in a second. Either option cinches up the opening so your belongings stay tucked inside.

The full-color pattern, which includes a description of my personal method of felting and blocking, will be delivered to you via e-mail, sent as a pdf file. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file--most computers have this program, but if yours doesn't, it's available as a free download. I'll send the pattern to you within 48 hours of payment.

I didn't know what to call this little catch-all bag: it fits a pair of sunglasses, a checkbook, double pointed knitting needles, a collection of crochet hooks, or a candy bar or two.

Knitted then fulled from a beautiful, deep-water colored, 100% wool yarn, it's embellished with a touch of needle felting and is cinched with a cotton/rayon, dainty white cord.

This little bag measures 6.25 inches (15.8 cm)long by 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) wide.

Simply Cushy Pen or Pencil Grip Knitting Pattern (pdf)

Ever wonder what to do with those spare bits of colorful wool sock yarn that you just can't bear to throw away? Can't get enough of the deliciously soft feel of thick wool felt?

This is a fast, easy knitting pattern to create a wonderfully plush, cushy grip for standard pens and pencils . . . and it only takes about 30 minutes of knitting and 10 yards of feltable fingering or sock yarn. (Fulling it in the washing machine takes a little additional time and a few more every-day materials, of course, but somethings are just worth it.)

The pattern calls for size 7 (4.5 mm) circular or double pointed needles and is knit in the round. If you're like me and hate dpns (well, they don't seem to agree with me, anyway), you can use either the magic loop method or use two circular needles at once.

The two-page pattern will be delivered to you via e-mail in a pdf file format and includes full-color photos. I can send you a printed pattern if you prefer, but additional charges will be applied--just convo me and I'll make a special listing just for you.

Knitting Pattern for Boiled Wool Purse or Bag with Two Inside Compartments (PDF Version)

This pattern is another of my original designs and features two full-size interior compartments. The partition that separates them runs from top-to-bottom and side-to-side. The partition is knit into the body, so it doesn't require seaming. I usually sew a zipper into the back compartment and close the front with a magnetic snap. The purse hangs from an I-cord strap that is laced through tabs on either side of the purse.

The purse is quickly knit using one strand of worsted weight 100% wool yarn and large circular needles. Because the purse has a "classic" design, it can be left plain for an understated, elegant appearance or embellished with as much eye-catching pizazz as you wish.

The finished purse measures 12" wide by 9" high x 5" deep, depending on yarn and felting method used.

The full-color pattern, which includes three pictures as well as descriptions of my personal method of felting and blocking, will be sent to you via e-mail in a pdf file.
