They say every cloud has a silver lining, in that tradition this shade is lined with gold! A very special shade it is too, why? There are 4 components that were purchased right here on Etsy, 3 of them vintage!

All hand sewn with side panels of incredible black burnout silk velvet. There are 2 layers of lining, white inner lining, black silk on the sides and gold silk behind the front panels to make the shade glow warmly when lit.

I cannot say emphatically enough how beautiful the two hand tatted front panels are, they were custom made by the fabulous TotusMel specifically for this project, see her shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=36519 They are topped off with lovely antique glass buttons (purchased on etsy). The heart motif is mirrored on each side of the shade. The entire shade is trimmed in a gold metallic braid that is new, but has a lovely patina giving it a true vintage feel. The panels surrounding the two front "windows" are covered in a vintage black mesh with real gold tone metal threads (purchased on etsy).

The all glass beaded fringe is vintage and hangs 3" long, it too was purchased on etsy. Approximate dimensions are 13" wide and 11" tall, not including the fringe. This shade has a standard fitter for a large lamp with a harp or riser and finial. 60 watt or lower bulb recommended.

Looking for just the right Christmas gift for that special someone? What could be more perfect than this exquisite set of vintage lamps with lovely little bulb shield shades.

The lamps are ceramic and glazed in two shades of purple, there is a young lass with dog on one side and a dragon fly on the other. Both are fine working order, one has two tiny flea bites on the base, they are very small and barely noticeable. The cords do not match, one is white, the other off white. They stand 10" tall without the shades and approximately 15" tall with, depending on the size bulb used.

The shades are completely hand sewn right here in my shop. They are fully lined in white, then covered in purple silk and finally in an incredibly beautiful dusty purple burn out silk velvet. They are trimmed with a metallic gold braid and embellished with 1 1/4" all glass beaded fringe on the top and bottom. The shades are 8" tall and 6 1/2" at the widest part and are fitted with a small bulb clip for a candle flame type bulb. 40 watt bulbs recommended.

To die for is the best way I can describe this beautiful antique floor lamp. The barley twist stem has a caramel colored glass ball accent, the ornate base is very unusual. It stands approximately 55 inches tall, professionally rewired and in fine working order. There is one small dent in the metal stem of the lamp, it is very difficult to detect and had been taken into consideration when pricing was set.

The shade, my own hand made creation, is stunningly beautful. Completely hand sewn with 3 layers of fabric, white lining followed by gold China silk. The final covering is a stunning beige voided silk velvet with a scrollwork pattern on the two larger panels and a stripe on the smaller. The 2" collar is covered in an amazing black net lace with gold embroidery. The all glass beaded fringe hangs 4-5" and is a combination of gold and copper with a few black accent beads. The hand dyed rayon frings is 7" long. Dimensions are approximately 10" high and 12" deep at the widest point, 6 1/2" on the ends, and 15" wide.

Lamp and shade will ship in separate cartons and the lamp will be partially disassembled.

Picture this sweet little vintage lamp in your boudoir perched on an antique dresser or side table.

The lamp stands 8" tall without a bulb and is 4" at the widest part. It was made in Japan and is in excellent working condition. The color scheme of yellow and white is accented with pink roses with green leaves, metallic gold stripes and a tiny bit of rust red.

The oval shaped shade was completely hand sewn and is fully lined in white, then covered in a soft yellow burn out silk velvet. The fringe is a combination of glass and acryllic beads and is 1" long. This exquisite little shade is one of my favorite shapes to make and is just dripping with charm. There are 3 layers of fabric, white lining followed by a lovely coppery China silk and finally a rich brown cut silk/rayon velvet. This layering of colors creates a beautiful warm glow when the shade is lit.

The bottom side panels are covered in gold metallic lace backed by the same coppery silk. The front "windows" are covered in hand sewn and dyed beige silk chiffon rosettes. The all glass beaded fringe is 1 1/2" long and is a combination of muted purple and tan beads.

The pink and metallic gold trim really set it off and the acryllic and glass beaded fringe hangs to nearly 6" in length. The hooks have been covered in soft pink braid to prevent scratching and can be gently bent to adjust the size.
