Homegrown sage and organic lavender have been infused into raw, organic apple cider vinegar to create a cleansing and rejuvenating skin toner. Sage and lavender combine well in this formula, providing astringent and antimicrobial properties as well as a calming, light scent. Apple cider vinegar is highly beneficial for the skin, containing enzymes and acidity that help to promote the natural acid mantle of the skin. It is also an effective menstruum, extracting the herb’s beneficial properties. Just a touch of rosewater evens out any drying effect and provides its own lovely touch and light toning abilities. Yarrow glycerite is an effective antiseptic and astringent herb, while the glycerin base is a humectant (meaning it attracts water to the skin), providing gentle moisturizing properties. Lavender essential oil is a wonderful smelling, skin-regenerative substance that is both relaxing and stimulating. Some of lavender oil and lavender hydrosol’s myriad uses include use to heal acne, dispel melancholy and relieve headaches.

Cedarwood -Ylang Cream

This is the lightest of creams from VioletRose Herbals and has a wonderful fragrance, both exotic and grounding. The oil component is made with grapeseed and coconut oils, both nourishing yet lighter than most of the other oils. Though this cream is light and intended for normal, acne-prone and oily skin types, still only a small amount needs to be used on the face and hands.

Packaged in a beautiful, 1.7 oz cobalt blue glass jar for maximum shelf life.

It absorbs well, and a little goes a long way! And of course, the cream contains no synthetic ingredients AT ALL, meaning no preservatives, scents, or other chemicals, just nature's goodness. Please be aware of any allergic possibilities.

Ingredients:

Grapeseed oil is the lightest of all oils and recommended for normal to oily skin types. It is quite high in vitamin E and contains traces of picnogenol (OPC) which is an antioxidant with anti-aging properties. The grapeseed oil used at VioletRose Herbals is made from the seeds of grapes using the cold-pressed method of extraction rather than chemical extraction.

Unrefined coconut oil is solid below 76 degrees Fahrenheit. In its’ raw (unrefined state), it retains the strong coconut smell and all of the beneficial qualities. It is a rich emollient and has long been used in the tropics for hair care and as a body moisturizer.

Organic green tea is rich in antioxidants and is used in this cream as part of the water component.

Organic aloe vera has cooling, toning and reparative properties. Well known for its’ use on sunburned skin, it is also a skin regenerator and is useful for rough or irritated skin.

Beeswax is used to help bind the cream together into a consistent texture and to help solidify the cream. The beeswax used in this product is from a local beekeeper who does not used chemicals in his hives.

Vitamin E has antioxidant properties and helps the skin to repair. It is used for fine lines and wrinkles and has a preserving effect in the cream.

Classic Cleansing Grains
These basic cleansing grains can be used as a substitute for facial soap. They are mild, gentle, yet very effective in exfoliating away dead skin and removing dirt. And believe me, these 4 ounces will last you a long time! This blend has a delicate, floral scent and is soothing and drawing. It also doubles as a deep cleansing mask if left on the skin to dry! Cleaning the skin with Basic Cleansing Grains will not rob the skin of its natural moisture either, as some soaps may.

Ingredients:
Kaolin clay is also known as white clay. It is good for most skin types and is not as drying as other clays. Clay is basically a breakdown of Earth’s minerals.
Oats offer a soothing and emollient quality and also help the grains to glide over the skin.
Organic roses have astringent and skin-toning properties and smell heavenly.
Organic lavender has cleansing, skin-reparative, and astringent properties and a strong fragrance. It is also soothing to the spirit.
Organic marshmallow root is very emollient and moisturizing. It helps to soothe inflamed skin and repair damaged skin.

This product can be used as a daily skin cleanser, rather than soap, and/or as a weekly facial treatment. Mix ~1 teaspoon of Sweet Love Scrub with water, blend in palm and apply in a circular motion to face. Rinse after a few seconds. For a facial application, just apply as above and allow to dry, and then rinse with warm water followed by a toner and/or cold water splash.

This is an 8" x 6.5" handmade flannel pillow stuffed with sleep and dream inducing herbs: hops, lavender, roses and skullcap and buckwheat hulls. The flannel used for the pillow was from an old shirt and is fastened with velcro. This pillow can be placed over the eyes/head at night to help you fall asleep faster and sleep more deeply. It also may help with dream remembrance.

Herbs have been used for millennia to help maintain a healthy body, inside and out. A variety of herbs delights this tonic for the skin! The herbs used are both nourishing and antiseptic for the skin and are infused into witch hazel extract, another excellent skin herb. Myrhh has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Many acne issues are caused by an abundance of unhealthful bacteria.
