Silver Sage collagraph print

$13.00
I love sage. Not only does it add yummy flavor to a Thanksgiving meal, but it is also an aesthetically pleasing leaf.

This is a collagraph print of sage leaves. If you are unfamiliar with the collagraph process, this is how the print was made: I glued sage leaves to a board and varnished them. Then, I inked up the plate with emerald green ink. Next, I wiped most of the ink off. Finally, I printed it on Rives BFK paper using a printing press.

Since collagraphs are naturally embossed, an interesting effect happens when you rub pencil over the print. I covered the printed area with a metallic green colored pencil, to get that silvery-green look that actual sage leaves have.

The printed area measures 3.75" x 12", with a 1" border. The print is signed by me in pencil on the back.

Thanks for looking!

A matching envelope is included. Each card is printed with an Epson Stylus 2400 8-ink cartridge printer, using archival pigment inks. (Same technology as professional giclée prints.) Both card and envelope are protected in a sealed cello sleeve.

The paper is so beautiful and the inks are so rich, you might end up framing the card instead of sending it!

Please note: I print these as they are purchased. The ink needs 24 hours to dry properly. Therefore, please allow 3 days for your order to be processed.

Velveteen Rabbit holiday cards-SET OF 4

I'm thirty-something and it still makes my short list of favorite reads! I created a series of illustrations based on the book. One of those illustrations is featured here in a sweet holiday card. I did the illustration/design. VistaPrint produced the card.

Each glossy card measures 5.5" x 8.5" (13.97 x 21.59 cm) folded and comes with a white envelope. This listing is for a set of four cards.

The inside is printed in black/gray. It features a quote from the book:
"There was once a velveteen rabbit, and in the beginning he was really splendid. He was fat and bunchy, as a rabbit should be; his coat was spotted brown and white, he had real thread whiskers, and his ears were lined with pink sateen. On Christmas morning, when he sat wedged in the top of the Boy's stocking, with a sprig of holly between his paws, the effect was charming.

There were other things in the stocking, nuts and oranges and a toy engine, and chocolate almonds and a clockwork mouse, but the Rabbit was quite the best of all."

...as well as a holiday greeting:
"Enjoy a splendid holiday season and a happy new year!"

THANKS FOR LOOKING! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

It is made from green cardstock, red patterned paper, red fiber trim, a paper doily which I painted silver, stickers, and a teeny tiny reproduction of my Chihuahua oil painting. The inside of the card has lighter color paper to write on.

The card comes with a plain white envelope. Your recipient will think he/she is just getting an ordinary card but….SURPRISE! The card and envelope come in a cello sleeve.

[Note: I make these cards as they are ordered. Due to the cut of the doilies and papers, and the availability of stickers, the card you order might be slightly different than the card pictured; however, it will have the same look.]

The third and fourth photos just show the other fancy dog cards in my shop. Thanks for looking!
It is a drypoint etching print of lots and lots of angels/cherubs/etc. It is called "Plucked from the Heavens" because that is a phrase my mom would use when she would tell my sister and I how we came to be.

This hand-pulled print image is 9" x 12" and the paper measures 11.5" x 16.5". The print is signed and numbered by me in pencil.

Thanks for looking!
