If a fish and a bird fell in love, where would they build their home? Anywhere if the fish were a flying fish. Aren't flying fish amazing? I quite like them and so does this Fairy Mermaiden.

Training a troop of flying fish for the fish festival isn't as easy as it may appear. Some call her The Fish Whisperer since she seems to know where the power of the school is located. (Ok perhaps I have been watching too much animal planet, Dog Whipserer...and have been trying to use the knowledge on my kittens. They aren't amused.)

I had an idea to create a mermaid looking at a small fish, and came across pictures of the Mandarin Fish...I think it is the cutest fish ever. So I had to create a piece of art with him, this is the result.

Larger sea life play host to many smaller species. I don't see why a mermaid would be any different. So here is my mermaid and her entourage of small yellow fish. Isn't it fortunate that they are such a pretty contrasting color? :)

This plaque features a reproduction ACEO sized print of my original watercolor painting "Demon Queen". She is a gorgeous gothic lady with a really nice Turquoise background. The colors here are so vibrant and pretty.

This is a mixed media wooden wall hanging plaque. It is created with acrylic paint, aceo print of my original artwork, beads, fancy ribbon and yarn, all put together to create a very cute one of a kind little home decoration. I can just imagine this hanging on a wall, or off the pull of a dresser.

The size is 4.5x 3 inches in size. The wood is a very thin 1/8 balsa wood, it has been painted with two coats of a blue green acrylic, that has then been dry brushed with a metallic gold acrylic paint (it creates such a nice effect with the layers of color peeking out), the aceo print is then added to it with a media gloss and then the whole is covered with a nice non-yellowing UV protecting gloss medium. Pretty pale ribbon has been added with some beads to hold it all together. It's hard to see in the listing but the bottom bead is a really vibrant emerald green stone wrapped with a thin turquoise wire. It is so pretty and shiny, and will make a wonderful gift for anyone for the holidays...you may even be tempted to keep it for yourself, so you better buy two. ;)

This Sunflower Elf and Bumblebee Fairy are the best of friends, they meet in the early morning and spread their brand of magic along our gardens and fields.

This painting is created with pen and ink, watercolor, a bit of acrylic, and some micro-glitter inks on 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper. In person it is more vibrant and intricate than can be shown in this low resolution scan.

All my artwork starts with a rough pencil sketch, which I then pen and ink adding details. After the pen and ink stage I start to add color, and more details as I go. Finally I add the shading and glittery bits that make it gorgeous in real life. Anyone who has one of my originals knows how much more dramatic they look in real life.

I included some detail pictures as well.

This is an 5x7 inch sized artwork and is painted to the edge.

These star crossed lovers are just happy to have a couple of stolen moments together. His family is from the high mountain elven clans and she is from the ancient tree dwelling clan. Historically their lands have been at war, and it was by chance that they met. But once they did it was as if destiny itself had paired them. For the good of both nations and a peace between them all, these young people are attempting to persuade their parents to give their consent to a marriage.

I especially like this set, it is very vibrant in real life, the prints look amazing with the color of card.
