lampwork beads raku swirl

$24.00
Ten rather organic looking beads make this set of 4 inches of beads. They are made with an opal yellow base, which is much like a dark ivory. It reacts well with the swirls of glass that I placed on the beads. The swirls are made of black and a reactive glass called Raku. Raku is actually an orange glass but when the flame and heat are manipulated, some new colors appear. In this case, some blues, and yellows, some light greens appear. Each bead is interesting alone and together they make a strand that can be used in a bracelet or necklace that will keep you busy looking at the beads over and over, seeing details in color and swirls that make this a unique set.
I would string these with silver, or black beads to set off their beauty.
The beads are between 12 and 15 mm in diameter and vary a bit in size.
Please contact me regarding international shipping because sometimes it is more than I charge for shipping, but normally international shipping is $5
Kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship. The price is for the 10 beads pictured.

So versatile. You can use them facing forward as a single focal, stack them, wear more than one, use them as a bracelet center, make them into buttons by sewing a small bead to hold them in place.
They add all kinds of color to your jewelry or fibers.

These discs, made by me with a mixed fuel torch, kiln annealed for durability and lots of color, come as a group of 10.
They range in size from 1.5 to 1.25 inches. They are made thin with carefully wrapped hot glass around mandrels large enough to accommodate silver wire for wrapping or hanging.
turquoise, blue, white, orange, black, green, pink, and red are used in these discs which are a bit more muted in color than my usual party colors.
kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship handmade.

lampwork beads discs color explosion made to order

Let me know if I can randomly pick the colors or if you have some preferences, and I will complete a set of 12 discs for you within a week. The beads are handmade one of a kind, so they will not be exactly what you see in this picture, but I can use the same glass and style to create something similar, or as you wish... other colors if they are available glass colors.
I make all kinds of jewelry with them. They are so versatile. Buttons on felted items, hung with giant jumprings, wired to bracelets, large headpins thru the center or stacked with a smaller bead, to make pendants. Just play with the riot of colors and create awesome one of a kind jewelry.
This set of twelve discs are the thinner style that I make, averaging 3-4 mm thick and the diameter is 4 cm for the largest down to about 2.5 cm at smallest.
Moretti glass, kiln annealed and guaranteed for workmanship.

lampwork ring kit plays with fire size 6.5 - 8

$22.00
I've made bead rings for a while because I love to put my lampwork beads in a ring. In the spring issue of Wire Jewelry are instructions for a ring much like this. I used the pattern and did my own variation for fastening the bead into place. But I do want credit for this design to be given to Cassie Donlen (with a variation!) She has another way to fasten, and if you like these rings and can make them, I suggest you get the instructions because it's lots of fun.

However... some people like the ring and don't do silver work.
Because I have the tools and love to work with silver, I put together some of these rings and then thought maybe lampworkers would like to add their own beads to them, so here they are, little kits for your own beads.

There are things about the ring you need to know. It varies in size according to the size of your bead. With one bead on it,(which is one cm wide) as pictured with the white bead, it is a size 6.5.
With two beads on it, (the picture with the two blue beads which together are 2 cm wide) it is a size 8. So what I do is pick through my bead box and find a bead that will slide on the wire, and fit my finger comfortably. Then I finish off the wire.

As a bead ring kit buyer, you will need to have the ability to clip the wire to the proper length and curl the end of the wire to hold the bead of your choice in place. I have curled one end of the wire to get you started. Directions are included and I will also enclose another piece of wire.

This listing is for the ring and silver only. No beads are in the kit. I don't ship on Mondays because the line at the post office is a mile long, but I do ship most days. First class.
The ring and wire are sterling silver, forged and stamped by me, polished and tumbled for a nice finish and strength.

feel free to convo with questions, and watch for more sizes!

They are copper washers that I patterned, antiqued, and tumble polished. I use them constantly in bracelets and earrings mixing with lampwork and other metal or just by themselves. The back of the washers is smooth.
The picture with the coins will help you with size. I will make you an assortment of sizes but they will all be matching pairs.
The price is for ten washers!

There are a couple spacers and some bright beads with dots and flowers, poked dots, stacked dots, and raised dots.
When these are strung with some size 6-0 beads and a bit of silver, the bracelet is one that everyone admires.
It's my all time favorite. You can definitely use the set for a necklace but it won't be as lampwork intense.

This set of 12 beads range in size from the spacers of 1 cm in diameter to the patterns that are about 13 mm and thicker than the spacers.
These beads are layers of color for depth, they are kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship. I hope they reflect the fun I had making them.
sugar skull lampwork glass bead

$15.00
Here's a lampwork skull, inspired by sugar skulls that are made for the celebration in November, Dia De Los Muertos, Day of the Dead. It's been fun to play with skulls lately, as I haven't made a lot of them for a while, however, my first sales on back in 2007 were sugar skulls, so they have that special place in my glass bead brain. :-)
My skull beads have their own personality that grows by itself when I am melting the glass to create them. This skull seems disgruntled by something. Maybe he's been sitting too long in a staff meeting listening to the 'same old, same old' and wants to get moving so he can sneak into the cupboard for some of those candy bars hidden in the cupboard for the trick or treaters. And it's totally time to just get out of there. His eyes are raised for some added interest and you can see that in the side view.
White glass is used in this skull with lots of color to look a bit like the sugar skulls that are decorated with colored frosting.

Made with hot glass, lampworking with my torch, and then kiln annealing for strength.
It is 3 cm tall, 2.4 cm wide and 8mm thick, with a vertical hole thick enough for a thin leather cord or 16 g silver.
My beads are one of a kind. There will be other sugar skulls from me, but not exactly like this.
Artisan lampworked beads are so fun to wear! If you would like this on a silver loop, let me know and I can add one to the piece so it is ready to hang on a chain for a $5 charge.
(or yourself!) This lampwork bead was created by me with my torch and kiln annealed for durability. It is a nice mix of blues and ivory and coral with some silver swirled into it. It is a nice focal size of 3cm x 2cm x 1cm. Then I used niobium coated jumprings to create this type of chain which is called a 'three in three' pretty simple to figure out why! The lobster claw clasp, the swirled charm, and wrapping and ring for the clasp is silver which I antiqued. The total length is 8 inches which can be lengthened or shortened if you request.
The colors look quite true on my computer, but realize monitors do vary.
my jewelry is always guaranteed for workmanship. :-)

Then these beads are for you. They are just the right size for earrings at about 10 mm in diameter. Lampworked with raised dots, the cobalt blue and deep green sets have dots that were made with a special glass. When you adjust the oxygen and fuel in the flame the glass lights up with a metallic glow. The lighter colored beads are periwinkle with an encasing of light transparent violet and dotted with cobalt glass.
Made on a smaller mandrel so you can hang them on headpins alone, or add other beads if you like.
Kiln annealed and guaranteed for workmanship, the price is for the set of 6 beads.

I have used these with byzantine chain for bracelets, or have hung them with silver wire for a beautiful bead that stands on it's own for a piece of jewelry and also added them to bead-weavings and strung beads and stones. I really like the size and the flat back makes the bead balance correctly and sit on a wrist or neck comfortably.
This bead is bright with coral, orange, turquoise, blue, yellow and red. It is 1 and 1/2 inch tall and wide and a bit less than 1/2 inch thick. It is a substantial bead for jewelry yet not too large. See the picture with the quarter to help with size.
While the glass was hot, I pressed a bullseye pattern into the bead and then added little raised dots of transparent blue with a small bubble placed in each raised dot.
Italian glass, lampworked by me and kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship.

glass bead mix

$12.00
This is the type of thing I hunted for when I first started to make jewelry. It's a mix of all kinds of glass beads. Flowers and leaves and daggers are part of this mix along with two flower beads that I made by lampworking glass.
The mix is great for a treasure bracelet, or for stringing. There are at least two of each bead for matching sides for balance in a necklace, or to use for earrings.
I picked out some nice beads when I went to Tucson for the gem and mineral show this winter and this is the first of the mixes I will be offering. I bought the beads for myself but had to buy many strands to get the mixes I wanted. This is much more convenient for you, as a jewelry maker, to have the mix made for you, not have to pick through trays at bead shops, and get good quality beads.
The price is for the entire set of beads. I don't know how much this weighs, but there are over 80 beads plus a strand of size 8 seed beads as pictured.

Let me know if I can randomly pick the colors or if you have some preferences, and I will complete a set of 10 discs for you within a week. The beads are handmade one of a kind, so they will not be exactly what you see in this picture, but I can use the same glass and style to create something similar, or as you wish... other colors if they are available glass colors. I can also make a smaller order if you like, just convo me.
I make all kinds of jewelry with them. They are so versatile. Buttons on felted items, hung with giant jumprings, wired to bracelets, large headpins thru the center or stacked with a smaller bead, to make pendants. Just play with the riot of colors and create awesome one of a kind jewelry.
The set of ten discs are the thinner style that I make, averaging 3-4 mm thick and the diameter is 4 cm for the largest down to about 2.5 cm at smallest.
Moretti glass, kiln annealed and guaranteed for workmanship.

silver disc and headpin for lampwork beads

$10.00
This handcrafted .999 fine silver bead disc comes with a 16g headpin that has a ball on the end. It is a great head pin kit for any lampwork bead, but what I really make them for is to hang my lampwork discs. I put the silver piece on the head pin and then a large lampworked disc. Then I bend the back of the headpin up to support the disc, and at the end of it create a hanging loop. The disc will hang on your chain face forward rather like a bullseye (although that isn't the best example since you want no one shooting arrows at you!)
The picture shown with the disc illustrates how the front of your pendant will work. If you like, I can send directions with the 'kit' to explain how to bend your headpin. It's a great way to make a necklace/pendant and I always get compliments on mine, and sell quite a few.

The disc is silver metal clay, about 15mm in diameter, and 2 mm thick, the head pin is 5 cm long. The headpin is fabricated by me, the silver disc is kiln fired metal clay. Kiln firing gives the metal clay it's optimal strength. Lightly antiqued and tumble polished, this piece of jewelry is sure to work great with your beads.

The lampwork disc is NOT included in the sale. It is for example purposes. However I always am making discs and if you want one, PM me for a price which is according to size and detail.
If you would like more than one of these, just ask. I have more. :-)

Funky mixed colors make these beads the center of a very fun piece of jewelry. Dress them up or dress them down, add seed beads or silver. They are just way fun because of the colors. To me, color makes lampwork noticable and fun.

They are about 1.5 cm in diameter, lampworked by me and kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship.

It's a perfect time of year to work with this style of bead, and a perfect time to wear them. topaz, turquoise, red, white, etched clear, green and a new color called green tea, these beads each have a twin in case you like to make earrings.

price is for the set of 7 beads.

I melt the glass in my studio (ahem....garage) at a torch, staring into that flame thru rose colored glasses (really!) at night destressing after my day job.
Orange, turquoise, sky blue, violet, yellow, black, and green, are the colors of these beads with varying base colors. They are dotted at the intersections of the 'mosaics'. The beads are approximately 15 to 17 mm in diameter, and the holes are not the smallest you can get because I like the options of having the 3/16th holes so they can be used also for treasure bracelets or wire work.
They are great in a bracelet or alone as a small focal.
kiln annealed for strength and durability. Walking the beach, I saw many little conch shells, and when returning home, made a few shells of my own. These can be used hanging from just about anything, leather, or silk, or a chain, macrame', or whatever you like. I did a silver wrap and hung some pearls from the shell, but can remove that if you have other plans for this beautiful glass bead. The pearls are real and I really don't know how they add the color to them, but I am weak at bead shows, and buy lots of colored pearls. They're fun to use in pendants like this.
handmade with moretti glass, and kiln annealed for durability, guaranteed for workmanship, this shell measures approximately 1.25 inches for a nice pendant size (not including the silver wire and hanging pearls in the measurement)
This shell is made with a glass called Raku. It has all kinds of colors and swirls that come out when the torch flame is adjusted to different levels of oxygen and heat.
It has many greens showing in it and a bit of blue and an ivory streak.
You can't hear the ocean when you hold it to your ear, but you can hold it in your hand and think of relaxing vacations.
The colors look correct on my screen, but may be different on yours!

I like bright earrings so here are some bright orange and pink and turquoise pairs, and just to tone it down two sets of blue. The beads are all bumpy beads for texture and interest. Now all you need to add is maybe a small bead or two, or a bit of silver, and some ear wires. Voila!
1.5 cm dot to dot and about 8mm tall, these make nifty earrings, not too big, not too small.
kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship
They are copper washers that I patterned, antiqued, and tumble polished. I use them constantly in bracelets and earrings mixing with lampwork and other metal or just by themselves. The back of the washers is smooth.
The picture with the coins will help you with size. I will make you an assortment of sizes but they will all be matching pairs. You will receive ten washers for the price listed, but if you want more, just let me know in a convo and we will work out the shipping.

lampwork beads turquoise and silvered ivory

$16.00
These beads are fun to make and fun to use in jewelry. An earthy type of bead of turquoise and ivory with some silver added to the glass, makes me think of turquoise jewelry. The ivory glass reacts to the turquoise glass and makes a nifty little line where they meet, and the silver adds that natural element.
The last picture in the photos is one bead of this type that is etched. If you like that etched look instead of the shiny beads pictured, I will etch the beads for you. That makes a soft surface that isn't shiny.
The set of 8 beads are about a half inch in diameter, or 12-14 mm. Kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship. The holes are large enough for a piece of 16 g silver wire if you are a wire worker.

lampwork bead Frog Floral

$12.00
Rrrrribbit! There are these teenie frogs in North Carolina called creepers. They make so much noise we can hear them in the house at night! And they're cute!
This little frog is creeping onto a floral bead. The flower is a layered floral with a red center, with strands of green veined glass, layered with clear and then pale lavender flowers, encased again with clear. The effect is like a bead within a bead. The frog is sitting on top of the floral with his buggy eyes.
These beads are top heavy, just so you know, just like any frog bead they'll hang upside down unless you hand the bead vertically in your jewelry. They're a great charm or fan pull or focal on a loop of beads or silver.

The size of this bead is 1 cm by 2cm in the base floral bead. The addition of the frog makes this bead 3 cm tall by about 18mm wide.

kiln annealed for durability and as always, guaranteed for workmanship.
