Doing the dishes -- anyone else's least favorite chore?? Well, I can't make the dirty dishes go away, but now you can at least brighten up this dull chore with this kitchen scrubbies and towel set!

This set includes:
2 round scrubbies for washing, and
1 rectangular dish towel for drying.

Each round scrubby is hand-crafted from 100% natural cotton yarn (for absorbancy) combined with multi-colored nylon thread (for durability and scrubability). These scrubbies are safe for all dishes, pots, pans, sinks, and counters. The nylon thread is orange, yellow, pink and turquoise, and adds a splash of color to the white cotton yarn. The scrubbies are double-thick and machine-washable. I recommend laying these out to dry, due to the nylon. Each scrubby measures approximately 4 1/2" (11.5 cm) across.

The dish towel is also made from 100% natural cotton yarn. At each end, there is a stripe to match the nylon thread in the scrubbies. The yarn I used for the stripe is 100% cotton in variegated white, orange, turquoise, and yellow. There is also a slight waffle-weave texture to aid in the absorbancy. This towel is extra-soft and can be machine washed and dryed on low setting. It measures approximately 10" (25 cm) across and 16" (40.5 cm) long.

I crafted this tape measure cozy with 2 strands of thread; one is a white cotton thread, the other is a blue, green, and yellow nylon thread. Inside the little cozy is a yellow retractable tape measure featuring both standard and metric measurements. The tape measures up to 60" (150cm). One side features an opening so that you can press the blue button to retract the tape.

I've attached a key ring so that you won't lose this little baby. Hang it in your sewing room or add your keys and drop it in your purse, so you can measure anything, anywhere.

Measures approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and 1/2" thick.

I crafted this measuring tape cozy with 2 strands of thread; one is a white cotton thread, the other is a yellow, orange, pink, and turquoise nylon thread. Inside the little cozy is a purple retractable measuring tape featuring both standard and metric measurements. The tape measures up to 60" (150cm). One side features an opening so that you can press the orange button to retract the tape.

This scarf is handcrafted from 100% acrylic chunky yarn, so it is thick and warm. There are 5 Texas flag motifs in a row, each measures approximately 10" (25.5 cm) long, so the total length of the scarf is about 50" (127.5 cm). Each flag motif has a navy blue panel with a white star appliqued on it and a white stripe above a red stripe. The scarf measures approximately 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) wide.

This is my entry for the ETC Design Challenge - Chinese New Year! And it can be yours!

It's a scarf made from 70% bamboo/30% silk yarn. It's silky-smooth, luxurious, and long enough to wear a variety of ways. The yarn is bulky enough to be warm, but light enough to wear for all seasons.

I was inspired by the chinese dragons of the Lantern Festival parades because they are also made of silk and bamboo. The wave pattern I chose is reminiscent of the way the dragon puppet moves thru the parade.

The scarf has vivid stripes of moss green, deep orchid, coral, ivory and sapphire blue each separated with thinner stripes of stone gray.

Measures approximately 65" long and 4 1/2" wide. Hand wash and lay flat to dry.

The larger pumpkin measures approximately 6 1/2" (16 cm) high and 16" (40.5 cm) in diameter at the widest part.

Hand-crocheted in 100% cotton yarn (a lavender, green, khaki and white twisted yarn), this set of two square face scrubbies is fashioned with a slight texture on the front (shown in photo 4). This texture is perfect for exfoliation of the skin. The back of the stitching, which is flatter than the front, is shown in photo 5. They are finished nicely all around and include a hanging loop for your convenience. Can be used with your favorite soaps, cleansers, or exfoliants and are machine-washable. Use them over and over!
