A blue horse gracefully soaring in an arc - Blue Moon is about 6 inches tall, entirely made by hand of merino cross wool, steel art wire, and air - her mane and tail are made of slender, handspun yarn.

(If so, I'll of course send you a picture first, and you are under no obligation.) She really came out delightfully well, so that makes it harder for me to part with her!

This kit is not recommended as a starting project. If you are an experienced felter and would like to try it, I offer anywhere from a complete kit (instructions, wool, three needles, and soy (slightly more ecological) foam block) to JUST instructions ($5.00). This listing price is for the complete kit.

Also, after getting the complete kit, you could order just wool ($6.00 for 1 horse, $11.00 for 2, or $15.00 for 3) in your own outrageous (or not) selection of colors. I also offer at additional cost: handspun matching yarn for manes and tails ($15.00 per horse). I will make a tail for you if you order the handspun yarn, unless you'd rather make your own! (See the pictured tail).

The instructions are complete and comprehensive, with detailed pictures of each step of the process, and helpful anatomical hints along the way. The instructions will be for an 8-1/2 inch horse.

One advantage of ordering the complete kit is that I felt one front leg ahead of time for you, and I also measure off the wool for each leg and for the body. This should help you get the hang of it more quickly!

The available wool is a merino cross, specially bred for its excellent felting qualities: shades of green, blue, purple, red, orange, brown, gray, and yellow; white, ice-white, black, cocoa, pink, super-hot pink, and lavender. In addition, I now have the following colors in New Zealand Corriedale: cinnamon, dark brown, and candy pink. The 3 needles are fine, medium, and coarse. The yarn is your choice of merino and merino blend, with or without silk blended in ($2.00 extra). Silk adds both durability and lustre.

This is a prototype, although this particular cat will almost definitely be available as of December. This can be a customized pet portrait. I need a photograph or two to work from, and an indication of colors (which aren't always well represented in computer pictures).

The size can vary, but this one is about 5 inches in diameter. I wet felt the backing and the hanging loop, to ensure that they are very durable. Then, the cat's face is felted on in layers, built up to almost realistic three dimensions; more of a relief portrait. All natural fibers, wool plus silk and possibly alpaca are used...natural, undyed wool for the whites, gray, beige, brown, and black is possible. You could also have crazy colors, or a particular color theme for a more abstract cat.

I added a small beaded tiara for a recent cat portrait, the last photo.

I'm offering kits to make this style of earrings. There's no hardware other than the earwire required - yet the result is seamless, sturdy, light, and comfortable to the skin. Imaginative possibilities are endless!

The kit provides instructions, earwires, wool, and felted handspun yarn lengths, for five pairs of earrings. I also include a piece of felting foam and a medium felting needle. You choose your colors; as many different colors as I have if you'd like. I'll let you know the choices!

These make great, unique gifts...go out in style, wearing outrageous earrings that match and don't match!

Imla and her horse, Blenwing

Imla, the rainbow winged fairy, sits at about 7 inches tall. Her horse, Blenwing, is a towering 12 inches in height. They both have steel wire armatures in their limbs, but not in neck or head. Imla is clothed in merino-crossbreed wool clothing, and is otherwise made of Norwegian C-1 wool (flesh tone). Her hair is handspun of merino wool and securely sewn in style. Blenwing the horse is made of needle felted merino-crossbreed wool, with Norwegian neon blue eyes. His mane and tail are of handspun merino wool/silk yarn in lavish quantity.

He stands strong and tall, as if carrying royalty - which she is. I may add her crown soon!

ornamental trembler dragonflies

These dragonflies were created as earrings, and they would be brilliant, however, extremely impractical. They are hung on earwires, which will serve nicely as hanging hooks. They can decorate a tree for the holidays, or hang in a window. Body measures about 1-3/4 inches long.

They could still be worn as earrings if you wish.

They are needle felted of merino crossbreed wool and silk, and are beaded with glass, crystal, and copper beads.

They are individually priced; you can choose one or the other if you'd like (state preference for black or purple one).

My first teddy bair, Teddy Jean has the common touch, yet with the elegance and richness of natural fibers. She is merino crossbreed wool on the inside, while on the outside she is almost entirely furred in kid mohair dyed with black walnut hulls. She wears a small blue bow, and comes with an ornament to play with in her paws.

I'm offering an assortment of OOAK felted ornaments for tree, window treatment, or sewn onto a purse or other wool accessory. Each one begins as a wet felted ball and is then needle felted with designs and given a loop. The loop is made of handspun, felted yarn.

Each one is an inch to an inch and a half in diameter. The glass, crystal and copper bead embellishment on a copper wire is offered for an extra $1.

I also offer kits ($10) to make five ornaments. Each kit contains wool, instructions, and felted yarn hanging loops, and comes with your custom selection of colors.

Sunflower is my first horse with solar mane and tail! They are constructed of wet felted wool/silk cutouts. Otherwise, he is needle felted from scratch, no armature, out of merino crossbred wool in burnt orange, yellow, and black.

He is in a neo-primitive style, with spiral designs on his sides.

So lightweight they're almost weightless, these earrings feel buoyant! They're like wearing tranquillity. No cold metal against the skin.

These are large, hollow felted ornaments that may hang on a tree or in a window. Each one is hand felted of merino cross wool, hollowed out, then embellished with light green silk haloed in an "aurora" of yellow, pink, red, and orange.

Each of these four piece sets is an original design with matching elements...colors, shapes, beads, and other details. They are made of natural materials: no synthetics, with perhaps the exception of the thread. All the beads are glass, crystal, or metal, and the felted parts are all natural wool and silk fibers. In addition, metal earwires, copper and steel wire and brass findings are used.

Feel free to convo me if you would like a custom set of your own design. I also can put together a kit to make your own for about $10.

Sitting about 9 inches tall, this needle felted cat is made from all natural fibers, with the exception of his eyes, which are handmade lampwork beads, made by Dragonjools. Check out the glow!

Sitarchuk's coat is alpaca and mohair locks (brown) with white Wenesleydale locks on his underside. He is otherwise felted of a variety of types of wool, merino cross, merino, Corriedale, Jacob, and Shetland.

Standing about 9 inches tall, this needle felted horse has a soft, shiny coat of blended silk and wool. She is needle felted by hand from all natural fibers, and has wires in her legs for stability. Her mane and tail are securely sewn and felted on, and feature exclusively handspun silk/wool yarn.

Just over 5 inches in height, Yarbee is needle felted from all natural fibers: merino cross wool, blue-faced Leicester curly locks and kid mohair locks. He's sniffing into the wind, while his thick coat protects him from its chill. He has a feathery tail.

I'm especially careful with the expression of the dogs - although they come to life in their own way. I think he gives the impression of being small but plucky. He's very soft and beautifully textured, not intended as a toy but as a display companion.

Standing 8-1/2 inches at the head, and 9-1/2 inches at the tip of an upswept horn, Winestein conceals a heart of pure wool beneath a muscled exterior. This Winestein is just a prototype, not for sale, so if you are interested in another version of him, let me know, through the conversation feature if you'd like.

His horns are removable, and a small item can be cached inside his head for safekeeping. Better than keeping it locked up!

I intend to develop more "modular" animals - maybe ones that can have their parts mixed up. Again, let me know if you are interested and/or have a design in mind.

Radza, needle felted snake
