I originally made one of these for myself, thinking it would hold me over until I could buy a "real" case for my ipod, and found that it holds up surprisingly well! It's seen about 5 months of being tossed in my purse with the rest of my stuff (keys and all), and is still in good shape.

This case won't protect from any serious damage, but will save your ipod everyday wear and tear.

It has a tie closure instead of velcro- the ribbon is threaded through the front and wraps around the top two or three times, then ties in the front. It's super-cute- hot pink on one side, orange on the other to match the stitching.

The panels of this box are lined with paper I stole from my brother...

lol It's not like he wanted it, it was gift paper from a sweater he got. There was just a scrap of it left that didn't get thrown out, and it was laying on his floor all by it's lonesome... so I rescued it!

It floated around my stash until one day I felt particularly inspired, and then became part of this box, perfectly complimenting the cherry wood color I stained it. The paper itself is kind of crinkled and crumpled so it's got some cool texture, and sealed to protect it.

According to Chinese tradition, the chrysanthemum is one of four flowers that embody nobleness. The other three are plum blossoms, orchids, and bamboo.

This box was designed and hand-painted by me. The sides are covered in this really neat black-on-black design paper, and accented with gold ribbon. The inside is painted cream, the painting on top is sealed with modpodge.
