This apron is the epitome of "upcycled" in my book -
The fabric I believe originally came from a 1940's feed or flour sack. It was then made into a table runner by some creative soul who cut it into a sweet scalloped shape and hand crocheted the purple and lavender edging.
Then, I happened upon the table runner and turned it into an apron for the 21st century fashionista. This would be so cute over jeans or a skirt this summer while you run errands, work in the garden, or actually cook in it.
It has two pockets, one on each side made from vintage napkins. The ties are extra long and can be tied in the front if you wish - they are made from a vintage pillowcase.
Take a look at the cute buttons by the label - really retro looking.
