These unique ear drops are some of my wire-wrapped sterling silver hoops featuring large, round, very textural natural copper beads set off with pale green, frosted glass beads, darker green faceted glass and oxidized copper wire wrap.

These earrings measure slightly more than 1.5" from the very top of the hoop.

Sweet, sunny little eardrops feature juicy opalescent orange glass disc beads that make me think of sunflowers. These are capped/wrapped with antiqued brass filigree petals and dressed up with faceted, creamy gold opalescent beads above and nuggets of carnelian & rounds of genuine amber below.

These earrings are 2" in total length, including their antiqued brass leverback ear wires.

Cowrie shells were the most popular currency within Africa. Pictures of cowrie shells adorned cave walls. The Egyptians considered them to be magical agents and also used them as currency in foreign exchange transactions. Archaeologists have excavated millions of them in the tombs of the Pharaohs.

How were cowries shell handled? Cowries were counted out in groups of five, while along the coast they were pierced and threaded, generally in strings of forty. In area where cowries were not strung, their use depended upon a rapid method of grouping them in successively higher units. In Nigeria trade was carried on by both men and women.

I don't know what you could buy with only two cowries, but they'll at least be lovely to wear! These unique ear drops feature little stacks with light & deep purple sugilite discs, antique striped African glass disquels, Kenyan brass heishi, Indonesian silver and faceted labradorite. At the bottoms, hang the "coin"; gleaming gold-ring Cowries, tied with sturdy waxed linen cord.

These earrings are just under 2.5" in total length, including their hand-formed surgical steel earwires.

These yummy eardrops feature my lampwork glass beads, inspired by beautiful Indonesian silver beads with their precisely patterned granulation work. These beads have a base of silver-patina'd turquoise decorated with black, white and more turquoise. They're dressed up with discs of faceted turquoise, antiqued brass filigree, more turquoise in plump little rondelle shapes, Indonesian silver and 14ktgf.

These one-of-a-kind earrings are 1 & 7/8" in total length, including their hand-formed 14kt gold fill earwires.

This absolutely one of a kind piece features a tribalescent, hand-carved "head bead" (made by Scott), mask-like, made from unique, intricately veined, sea-green Damali Turquoise. "The Watcher" peers out from amongst hand-worked gemstone nuggets, including Arizona peridot, Russian charoite and an iridescent petal of natural abalone shell, all wrapped & set in twining twists of blackened steel. The cluster is suspended between sections of vintage Afghani woven chain and set on a neck cord of woven cotten (much more durable than leather & vegan!) with decorative bi-cone beads of old African copper.

This short necklace is 16.25" in total length, including it's hand made, triangular toggle clasp of oxidized sterling silver.
