this unique necklace is made from an russian pyrite ammonite fossil, white freshwater pearls, and sterling silver. ammontie is aprox 1/2 and inch at its widest point. it is suspended from the chain on a blackend steel ring. chain is 16" long.

*note* ammonites were once living creatures and the fossils are naturally formed. each one is different and yours will vary slightly from the one pictured.

i just started making this design and am loving the organic look of these new rings. they remind me of the heavily textured, crater covered surface of the moon. a domed copper disk has been coated with thin layers of lavender and white enamel and torch fired. the result is a complicated surface combining the elements of enamel, firescale and the natural color of the copper. disk is soldered to a sterling silver band which has been oxidized to a deep gray.

dome has a diameter of 18 mm.

i found two of these vintage eagle buttons at an antique store and thought they were perfect for military inspired steampunk designs. the buttons are metal, they are dark steel gray in color with an embossed design of an eagle. the eagles wings are spread and it has been painted gold. due to age, areas of the gold paint are worn giving the button even more gritty character. button has been set securely into a handcrafted sterling silver bezel which hangs from a substantial, 22 inch sterling silver oval link chain. a great piece for both men and women, beautiful when worn alone or layered with other necklaces. all silver has been oxidized for an aged look. bezel measures 7/8" in height and just under 3/4" in width. signed on the back.

part of my new curio collection series, this necklace is a unique assemblage of natural and found objects. a stack of fish vertebrae rest inside a vintage glass vial, originally used to hold small screws for watch repair. the vial is accented by a small stack of red coral. curio objects hang on a steel hardware retaining ring. glass vial and original cork stopper have been glued closed. vial is aprox. 1 inch long.

a hand formed sterling silver bangle has been adorned with glass bead charms that slide around the bracelet. the bangle has been hammered for texture and strength and oxidized to a deep charcoal gray. beads are all vintage glass in shades of white, yellow and orange. great to wear alone or layered with other bangles.
