This candle Holder for a tea light has a very thin japanese tissue glued to the inside of the bowl.
After glueing the napkin inside, I traced the actual pattern of the beautiful napkin with a silver pen on the outside. I sealed it inside and out.

The base/substrate is a wood mdf in the shape of a dove.
I used iridescent white stained glass, purple and silver mirrored stained glass to mosaic this dove,
her eye is a light blue pearl shimmering and twinkling in anticipation for her soul mate...
this Dove is grouted in antique white grout, sealed and all sugared up with German Glass Glitter...

For a festive center piece and those spots that need a little shining, a dazzling handmade mosaic has been applied to this violin.
Burgundy Glass Glitter tiles frame out the bottom, Bavarien Scroll and Flower Plate, Royal Albert Burgundy Rose Damask plate, cut and nipped and set to make this violin sing.
Edwin Knowles Plate and focal. Johnsons Brothers Roses, 2 hand made, hand painted butterflies, all shinied up with white, pink, and green stained glass tiles. A master piece transcended...what a gift for the right person.
The body of the violin is painted in a rose color and sealed. Little handmade Clay roses are added just in the right spot and pearl strings replaced the old ones. The violin bow has been wrapped and topped off with pink porcelain roses on both ends.

Every Tile cut from my china plates is placed with the greatest love and care. My Porcelain plate tile pieces are cut with an artist's eye towards the usefulness of the pattern and color. My Mosaic Items are an excellent value based on the quality of the cut and the condition of the plate tiles. Light variations in pattern, lay out and color of the mosaic plate tiles are intentionally and proof and authenticiy of a hand crafted item.
Always handmade...I only used already damaged china and porcelain plates to create this darling violin!!!!!!!!

EXPLANATION OF PRICING:
If you are wondering "just why is this piece so expensive?", here's my story:
The substrates (violins, tables, trays, sets) are not something I purchased at a store. They are actually vintage and not cheap. I purchase the primer and paint, the fine bone china plates, the stained glass, the gems, the mirror, the grout, the glue and the sealer.
I hand cut each piece of fine Bone china plate, stained glass and mirror. I did not break it by stomping on it or hitting it with a hammer. I use special nippers and glass cutters for cutting the bone china/glass into precise small pieces.
I hand place and glue each piece into place. In some cases, I have to re-cut and trim to fit the pieces. Although it may look like these pieces are randomly placed, they are not.
After all the cutting and gluing is done (about 3 to 4 weeks), I hand mixed the grout and apply it to the substrate. When it has cured a bit, I wipe the excess off with a wet sponge. This process usually takes a while and is very messy. Once done, I allow the piece to dry completely. Sometimes I have more then one site and have to do this process over again. When everything is dry, I buff the grout "film" off of the china/glass so it would sparkle.
When the grouting is complete, the piece is sealed which takes an additional 72 hours. Then I glue the additional pretties and baubles on there. In all, I probably spent 76 hours on this mosaic Teapot Service.

Thos formerly vintage silver plated tray has been transformed. Primer and burgundy paint, a mosaic of hand painted kilnfired tiles from an artist in Israel. The colors of the tiles are burgundy, dark red, plae golden yellow with accents of gold and white. The picture does not do them justice. Always prettier in person... I finished this tray with a mauve colored grout to give it even more charm and a finished look.
