**This is a pattern -- NOT the finished product!**

This is my pattern for an adorable little frog with string-bean-style arms and legs (long and skinny). He/she has great big eyes and a little pudgy tummy.

This pattern is actually a 3 for the price of 1 deal! You get a pattern for a plain String Bean Frog plus two variations -- String Beanerina and Marcel le Moustache!

String Bean is an easy project for any knitter, as are his variations – String Beanerina, prima donna of the frog ballet, and Marcel le Moustasche, Paris’s most acclaimed frog mime.

The techniques that you’ll use are:

Knitting in the round on double pointed needles, increasing, decreasing, working an I-cord, and picot bind-off. (If you’re making Marcel, you’ll also need to needle-felt his mime make-up onto his face.)

As this pattern is for a toy, there really is no right or wrong gauge. I usually knit it with worsted weight yarn, but you can make a bigger toy with bulky wool, or a tiny frog with lace weight. It’s an excellent stash-buster!

Rainy Day Bird

This sweet little hand knitted bird loves nothing more than that cozy feeling you get when it is cold and blustery outside, and you're snuggled up in your PJs with no where to go, and a good book to read.

I knit Rainy Day Bird out of a lovely and soft silk and merino wool blend yarn in a buttery yellow to chase away the gloom.

She stands on her own, though there is no wire or armature in her legs, just really tightly knit stitches!

Rainy Day Bird measures approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and has black safety backed eyes (recommended for ages 3 and up).

Introducing the beautiful and talented Prima Donna, String Beanerina! Hailing from the prestigious Moscow School of Dance, String Beanerina is proficient in classical ballet, though her secret love is modern interpretive dance! Be prepared, if you take her into your home, she is a bit of a drama queen, and she will demand that only fresh fruit be served to her on silver platters. (She also requires hand bathing -- no washing machines for her!)

This String Beanerina is made with a beautiful pink wool and a lovely green wool and soy blend. She measures approximately 13 inches from the top of her head to the tips of her webbed twinkle toes.

She is stuffed with polyfil and has beautiful dark amber safety eyes (recommended for ages 3 and up).

This is my knitting pattern for a cuddly stuffed octopus. I call mine Ocho, but naming the one you knit is up to you!

Wanna make your very own Ocho? All you need to be able to do is:

~Knit in the round on double pointed needles
~Increase
~Decrease

Pretty darn easy!

As this is a toy, there really is no right or wrong gauge. I have knit it on 8s with aran/bulky weight, and on 3s with worsted yarn, which can make this little guy a great stash buster!

Knit Jailbird PDF Pattern

He's innocent, he swears! With a face that cute, who wouldn't believe him? But then again, that is an evil looking beak -- I wouldn't want to get on Jailbird's bad side.

Jailbird is currently serving a 10-20 year sentence (for what, he won't say...). But the judge said that he could get out early for his good behavior if he finds a good half-way house to live in.

Do you think you could help out a down-on-his-luck bird?

Jailbird is an intermediate level of difficulty, I would say. His body is pretty easy, involving knitting in the round on double pointed needles, increases and decreases. His feathers are knit flat, and require some seaming, and his legs are a simple series of increases and decreases in the round.

His feet – I’m not gonna lie – his feet are a pain in the butt! The pattern is very explicit, and walks you through every step of the way, but they are fiddly! I think the effort is totally worth it, though!

Jailbird is a fun knit, and an interesting challenge for those looking to broaden some of their knitting skills.

Because Jailbird is a toy, there really is no right or wrong gauge. I usually knit him out of worsted wool and that makes a bird about 12 inches tall.

Frog Prince Pattern PDF

Here comes Froschkönig -- the German Frog Prince! This little frog is as easy to knit as he is to love.

**This is a pattern -- not a finished frog!**

Frog Prince isn’t too hard to knit – he can be a little fiddly (especially if you make him on tiny needles), but I think that advanced beginners to intermediate knitters will have no problem; if he were on Knitty, I’d probably call him Tangy.

If you can knit in the round on double pointed needles, increase and decrease, you’ve basically got it. There is a small amount of seaming involved, and at one point there is a picot bind-off (if you’ve never done it before, don’t worry – it’s very easy, and I try to explain it step by step. There are also some great resources on the web that can walk you through it). It’s pretty easy, and pretty quick.

As this is a toy, there really is no right or wrong gauge. I have knit it on 0s with lace weight, and on 8s with bulky yarn, which makes this little guy a great stash buster!

The Easter Bunny donated his body to science

So that really is where all the pretty, colored eggs come from...

Science answers yet another of nature's mysteries!

This bunny is hand knitted in the softest, fuzziest nylon yarn. His face is embroidered with black wool, with white thread whiskers. Each egg is hand felted with a needle out of pure wool and then nestled in a bed of that wonderful plastic grass with which you fill your Easter basket. I've also glued some pink felt onto the paw pads.

The frame is a dark brown 8 x 10" wooden frame, with a dark cork background -- ready to hang on a wall, or prop on a table.

Pot-bellied Bunny Pattern PDF

Finally -- I've gotten around to getting this pattern down on paper! I absolutely love this little bunny. He's soft, squishy, fat and floppy. His long ears are perfect for little hands to grasp as they carry Bunny Flop around on all their adventures.

This pattern is very easy, but it does involve some techniques beyond just knitting and purling. He is knit in the round, and there is some short row shaping for his arms, legs and ears -- super easy, and a great project for someone looking to learn or practice these techniques.

If you're a beginner, and this seems intimidating, fear not! A quick Google search will land you with all the necessary info you could ever want for learning new methods!

Meet the Froschkönig! He is a German frog prince straight out of a fairy tale. Maybe if you were to smooch him...

He is knit in a wonderful tweedy wool wool yarn, stuffed with polyfil, and he has enormous amber safety eyes. Froschkönig is about 5 inches long, 6 inches wide (from toe to toe) and he's around 2 1/2 inches tall.

Oh my goodness...This is the cuddliest, softest, most wonderfully hugable frog I've ever made! I absolutely love him, and I hope you will too!

This frog is made from Blue Sky Alpaca's hand-dyed bulky alpaca in a lovely apple-green shade.

He measures approximately 14 inches from nose to bum, 15 inches from toe to toe, and about 6 inches tall.

He is stuffed with acrylic polyfil, and has huge, brown safety eyes (recommended for ages 3 and up).

I knit this floppy, fat little bunny out of beautiful Malabrigo wool and silk blend yarn. It is a lustrous mix of pinks, purples, green and ambers. His ample pot-belly is knit in a soft white. His cotton tail is knit, ironically not from cotton, but out from an incredibly soft and fluffy nylon yarn called "plush."

This bunny is lightly stuffed with polyfill to give him a floppy, squishy hugability. He measures approximately 7 inches from top to bum.

He is very durable, but he should be hand washed in cool water, reshaped and air dried.
