Re-Glass™ was created by me because I can’t waste a thing! Every piece of Re-Glass™ is GENUINE sea glass. Found on the beach by the Prince family!! Lemme esplain… I find so much antique glass on my beaches, they’re colorful, and so thick…. But uh oh, there’s a nice big chip on the side!! You have no idea how frustrating it is to find a great big piece of cobalt blue only to find a huge chip on it! What to do?? I designed mosaics, the grout can always hide the flaws, but you never receive the money you deserve, for the amount of work that goes in to them! I started using coil wraps around them to hide the chip (full disclosure of course), but it still felt wrong to make a piece of sea glass jewelry that wasn’t “flawless”!

So I thought, “Why not just etch the chip?” (non toxic method of course) Glass artists etch their beads all the time!! So Re-Glass™ was born! Every piece is genuine and has retained the all knowing “C”s of sea glass, the pitting if you will! The FROST! Can you tell where the chip was?? Not so sure are you!

This is recycling at its best…… I can’t throw anything away….. Well, anything that wasn’t askin’ for it!!

I have some friends in Boston who own a commercial fishing boat! Every once and a while they stop at all the islands surrounding the Harbor! They always finds me the coolest things.... this time around I got two antique WHOLE sea glass bottles!! Wicked cool! He found me a bunch of marbles too.... but I questioned it because they're not that frosted or pitted as the marbles I find here on the RI coast!!

YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY..... I was told by a pal in the North American Sea Glass Association that the reason for this could be because YEARS ago, prior to metal ball bearings.... they used marbles in spray paint cans!!! Who knew!!!! The marbles helped mix up the paint!! So being in the can for so long before the can eroded could be a reason why they didn't get AS frosty as unprotected marbles!!

Again... Wicked cool!!

A blue cat's eye marble.... channel bezeled in sterling silver is attached to a double aluminum chain and finished with an antiqued silver toggle! If you know aluminum, you know this baby is super light weight!!!! It measures 7 1/2 inches!

This is the strangest color of sea glass I've ever seen... It's a matte-blue milk glass.... strange! I thought it was clay when I first saw it.... It's so worn down.. One big crescent moon "C" on one side.... strange!! Milk glass doesn't frost like regular clear glass... it gets an almost sparkly finish to it..... strange!!

I've channel bezeled this little treat with sterling silver and hung it from a silver plated ring and 18" teeny tiny ball chain!

I hope you heart hearts.... because if you do, you'll heart this necklace! I cut the heart from copper sheet, hammered and filed the edges, oxidized it, brushed it to bring out a little copper sheen.... then I added a little brass rivet for contrast..... As my man and I drove down 95 yesterday afternoon.... I noticed the coolest color change.... starting from North Rhode Island alllllll the way South where we live.... The trees had changed up north..... They were bright red... yellow... some brown already.... But as we got south, the color change slowly disappeared and there was my beautiful green again!! Funny, those leaves!!

Today was a chilly New England day.... It always inspires me to work work work! I created this Autumnal piece inspired by those leaves!! Leaf green, RARE golden yellow, and yummy chocolate brown, all stacked together along with little Bali beads!
