Individually knit lace gores in 8 varying shades of grey, black and mushroom make up the body of this super high waisted skirt. Each piece is made of very soft, airy merino wool or a merino/cashmere blend. The 12" waist is knit of sturdier, 2-ply wool for added elasticity and a proper fit. It can be rolled over or left intact. A-line in shape, the piece works nicely with a dark crinoline or slip underneath.

Very pliable, the waist will stretch from 24" to 32" and can easily accommodate sizes 4 to 8.

Better To Be Safe Sweater Slate Gray

A simply constructed, cropped cardigan sweater with overlapping shawl collar.

Predators kept at bay by the very sharp African porcupine quill that pierces a handmade wooden disk and fastens the front. The disk is a cast-off from a local windchime factory. I made the off-center hole and applied the black stain.

The yarn is beautifully textured, 100% local, Hudson Valley raised, merino wool. The irregularities of the surface are accentuated by the 1 by 1 rib stitch used in construction.

Very soft and stretchy with extra long arms (25") and slight bell sleeves. The raglan shoulder shaping and open bustline should accommodate most sizes, but alternate sizing is available by custom order.

As the model wears a sample, please allow 10 days for completion of your garment.

A demure little sweater made of 100% locally grown merino wool and rescued leather from a nearby handbag factory. The back and sleeves of the shrug are accented by a free-form cable pattern meant to evoke sturdiness. The toggle closure was made by me and hand-stitched directly to the knit.

The color is a gray-ish mushroom brown (natural to the sheep and un-dyed) with brown toggle.
