Dawn of a New Day Quilted Wall Hanging

This quilted wall hanging is 14 3/4" wide and 31 1/2" long. I started with the background fabric and then used an applique process to create additional circles and waves. The binding is a yellow fabric.

Made with much care to detail, it is my own design. It is machine quilted with several different kinds of threads, colors and stitches.

The wall hanging is a little reminiscent of the late 1960's and early 1970's but all fabrics are new.

And as always, made in a smoke free and pet free studio.

The edge is finished using a multi colored blue sulky thread that coordinates with the ocean fabric. I used a stitch that makes the edges look little like seashellls. The back is finished with a white fabric that can be written on with a fine line sharpie or a ball point pen.
