Quilling dates back to the 16th century when ornate borders were used to decorate religious items. Most quilling designs then were done in white or ivory. In the 18th century, quilling was considered as a proper pastime for the fashionable young ladies.

I have up for sale a NEW, UNOPENED GUIDE BOARD with template & tool.

This guide board has 36 holes, & is used to help the quiller make uniform circle sizes. It is 8½" x 6" and comes with a foam work board. Template makes sizes from ¼"-1". The instructions include basic quilling instructions and tips to create (11) different shapes

Alexandrite is a very unique color. They change color depending on the lighting. In natural sunlight and incandescent lighting, these crystals appear to be a beautiful light tanzanite (lilac). However, in flouorescent lighting they appear to be a light sapphire (blue).

You can make some interesting jewelry pieces with these beads!

Each bead has stripes of color through them....at first glance I THOUGHT these were made from agates like I collected & polished from Lake Superior! But they aren't, they are pressed glass from the Czech Republic. Your bag will contain an assortment of the beads show above. These beads DO NOT have a high gloss to them-more like a satin finish. More shine than a matte finish, BUT, LESS than a highly polished stone.

Colors are lighter than shown on my monitor, softer colors...nice springy color mix.

The squashed pink bicones & the round white AB Swarovski crystals are vintage Swarovski crystals, and the lampwork beads are handmade, although not by me.

The bracelet actually measures 9" long, but because of the big lampwork beads making up the focal point of the bracelet it should fit a 8½" wrist comfortably, beyond that it may be tight.
