♥♥♥ I have added something new for this group of patterns as an addendum. It is the instructions on how to make a bolo/lariat cord so that you can wear the completed flower(s) as neckwear.

The knitted flower can be used anywhere you would want a floral decoration. Sew it on to a ribbon and wear it around your neck or tie to your hair as a headband. Decorate your purse or bag for that extra special look. Make multiples for a corsage, bouquet or single as a boutonniere. Great for weddings.

The recommended yarn is 100% Mercerized cotton, DK weight (approx. gauge of 22 st/4 inches 4.0 mm.)

Materials required:
1 Skein of yarn in each color
Knitting Needles: US 2 (3.00mm) set of 4 Double Pointed
Tapestry needle (big eye) and regular sewing needle. Thread in the colors of the petals.

The recommended yarn weight and needles will make the stitches and knitting tight.

Pick the colors for your cuff/cozy pocket to carry your MP3, iPod, cell phone, cash and/or credit cards when you want to be hands free. The pocket is knitted from yarn that is a mix of cotton and elastic, so that there is a lot of s-t-r-e-t-c-h in it. You can wear it around your wrist, your upper arm, even around your ankles. I will make it to fit your measurement.

To find the right size for you, measure around your wrist or upper arm and decide if you want to wear it loose or snugly.

The access for the earphone jack can be placed anywhere on the pocket, as the yarn is stretchy and the stitch can be "open" to accommodate.

Sufferin’ Succotash!! I just love the color-wave of this yarn. It makes me think of a vegetable dish called succotash that is a traditional dish for Thanksgiving. The delicious colors include yellow (corn), light green (lima beams), red (tomatoes), darker green, reds and shades of purple (peppers). Mix these all up and you have a recipe for a warm, delicious pair of gloves. The gloves are knitted in a crisscross stitch, which brings a wonderful texture to highlight the wonderful color blends. Freckled Red Poppy Fiber Art Neckwear

This is the sister version of my original red poppy. It is just the cutest thing to wear instead of a scarf or a necklace with your summer outfits. This one has a sprinkling of black beads over the face of the flower, so I call it my freckled poppy. It is also asymmetrical, as one side is longer than the other which gives it an alluring and attention-grabbing appeal. The eye is drawn to a 3 dimensional puffy black bud sitting in a green circle. A bronze tone glass bead is highlighting the center. This gorgeous neckwear is knitted in one piece; only the black bud was attached separately. The piece is double-sided, therefore both sides of the piece is the "right" side.

This will sit lightly on your neck so that you can wear this year-round to enhance any of your outfits. The boldness of the red will draw the eye, yet with the muted green and the black center, it will not overwhelm. This will be outstanding against black. Red Poppy Fiber Art Neckwear

Here is my adaptation to the red poppy. It is just the cutest thing to wear instead of a scarf or a necklace. It is so soft and light on your neck that you can wear this year-round to enhance any of your outfits. The boldness of the red will draw the eye, yet with the muted green and the black center, it will not overwhelm. Play around with the way you tie it around your neck to get the perfect look.

The red flower is offset with a 3 dimensional puffy black bud sitting in a green circle. A smoke gray bead is highlighting the center. I love the way the flower comes out when I make these. This gorgeous neckwear is knitted in one piece; only the black bud was attached separately. The piece is double-sided, therefore both sides of the piece is the "right" side.

Have you ever plucked the petals from a flower saying “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not”? This lariat evokes the memory of a young girl in love. The flower has the look of some of its petals picked and drifting down the front of your outfit. When you count the petals, it will say “he loves you”.

This lariat would be fantastic for a warm summer day as it is made of cotton and is light weight and airy. The flower is stationary. I love the way this turned out. I made this with the Bridesmaid in mind. This was made to compliment my "Encircle Me with Love" listing I have for the bride.
