This is an amazing set! I spun some of the squooshiest cormo fleece carded very roughly so there was as much texture as possbile. I added lots of gold, bronze and blue angelina. I spun the yarn thick and thin with a low twist, to keep as much texture in the yarn as I could, and I let a brown sparkle lurex thread wrap around the outside.
I also roughly carded some curly border leicester locks with brown glitterati and gold angelina. I corespun the locks again keeping as much of the curls and texture as possible.

I just LOVE these yarns!! There are 3 skeins included in this listing that will give you enough yarn for a large project!!

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. Tailspinning is a form of corespinning- which is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. Instead of coming the locks smooth, the end if opened and corespun into the yarn, leaving the curly end free. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost.

It's time to pull out the Christmas Ornaments and Deck the Halls with sparkle and joy!! I spun up a fun holiday yarn by corespinning a fluffy batt filled with all the green in my studio. Squooshy merino top, buttery soft alpaca top, textured corridale fleece and merino/cormo fleece, curly kid mohair locks, shiny bamboo, smooth silk and TONS of sparkle from many shades of green angelina. Then I corespun the fiber.. with as much texture as possible. For that tinsel on the tree I added pops of red/gold/green holosparkle lurex. For more whimzy, I added 6 large glitter ornaments (green, red and gold) and 7 small glitter ornaments (gold). The ornaments will dangle and are attached to the core yarn so they are secure.

This is an amazing yarn and will create an incredible piece!

Even if you don't have snow on the ground Christmas morning, you could have a frosty art yarn!! This kit comes with a HUGE fluffy batt in beautiful shades of white. There's squooshy merino top, buttery soft baby alpaca, textured targhee fleece, silky milk protein fiber, shiny bamboo and tencel, smooth silk, curly kid mohair and border leicester locks and LOTS of snowy sparkle from white firestar and silver iris and iridescent mother of pearl angelinas.
Included are some really fun add in's to make your yarn even more icy. There's 9 dangly sparkle snowflake ornaments (3 of them are 3-d!), 3 dangly sparkly icicle ornaments and some iridescent snowflake garland. You can spin these into your yarn or add to your finished project.

This will make a beautiful, soft and sparkly piece!

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. If you'd like more of a blended effect, convo me upon checkout and I'll run it thru the carder again.

This batt was carded with love on my Louet Classic drum carder. These are fleeceytop batts- so they are semi textured. Of course all the yummy add in's layered throughout the batt as well (not just on top!) Also, as this batt contains farm wools- there is a bit of lanolin left in the wool. This will make your hands super soft when you spin, and then give the yarn a nice hot bath and your yarn will be soft and fluffy. Also, there also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin.

Like these colors but don't spin. Custom spinning is available, convo me for more details!

Oh Christmas Tree Knit scarf with Handspun yarn

This is a festive scarf that is made to look like a Christmas Tree! I spun the yarn with super soft fibers and added dangly ornaments in while I spun. The bottom (trunk) has presents dangling, and then the rest of the scarf (the tree) is "decorated" with more dangly ornaments, mini light garland, sequins, tinsel and like a good tree.. has a star at the "top". This will keep you merry and bright all season long!

It's knit with a really open stitch so the yarn is really shown off. The scarf is 6 inches wide and 5 1/2 feet long.

This scarf is just perfect to wrap around your neck and tuck it into your jacket to keep you warm while you're out caroling this season!

I have sensitive skin and don't find this yarn itchy against my skin, however if you are SUPER sensitive you might want to wear this on the outside of your jacket.

I can make as many of these as you need, just let me know. You can have any color of locks and sparkle. This style also comes in 2", 2.5", 3" balls and 3" drop, or convo me if you'd like an entire set and I'll put up a reserved listing.

I had a really tough time capturing the beauty of the fiber in the photos. There was always a glare and I could never catch all the sparkle! .

I really struggled with the best way to ship these. Because they are so fragile they have to go into a box. I'll ship in the small flat rate priority box with good packing material. 6-8 ornaments will fit into the box (depending on style) I will only charge one shipping fee and will fit as many ornaments in the box as I can. If you order more than 6 ornaments, and they have to go into a larger box, there may be an additional shipping fee.

I will ship these internationally, however convo me for a price as I'd have to pack it and weigh it for the exact amount.

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

Tracey used the cold process method of making these wonderful soaps. These soaps will melt your stress away after a long hard day.

Don't you love that mix of reds and pinks of Christmas poinsettias? I sure do. With bright greens it just puts me in the holiday season! I carded up a fun batt of reds, pinks and greens with lot of texture and sparkle! I used squooshy merino top and textured farm wools. There's shiny bamboo and silk and of course loads of sparkle from firestar and angelina. I also added extra texture with silk noil, bamboo noil and sari silk strands.
I included 3 fabric flowers to spin in with your yarn or include in your final project.

This batt is super fluffy and soft!! It is going to make an amazing sparkly yarn or felting piece..

I just LOVE how turquoise, teal and browns work together. It reminds me of the way the waves crashed against the rocks on the rocky Maine coast. My parents used to take us to Arcadia National Park every summer and there was a place called Thunder Hole where the water slammed against the rocks and at high tide it sounded like thunder.

I carded up this amazing batt of turquoise, browns and teals. This is a relatively smooth batt for the louet carder. It's mostly top with some llama and kid mohair locks for texture. There's silky bamboo, shiny silk and gobs of sari silk. Of course there's loads of bling from firestar, glitterati and angelina

This will make your hands super soft when you spin, and then give the yarn a nice hot bath and your yarn will be soft and fluffy. Also, there also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin.

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

The felted soap available in this listing is Mojito. It has a wonderful scent of lime and mint and has a great moisturizing lather.

Tracey used the cold process method of making this wonderful soap. It smells fantastic and has a fabulous lather.

I spun some amazing locks and sparkle, blended in rich shades of browns, reds and golds.. thick and thin. I plied yarn with some metallic copper filament thread, strung with glass beads. This yarn makes me want to drink a large chai tea.. A nice spicy and rich flavor- just like this yarn.

This yarn is VERY soft and will work into an amazing piece.

When I drive home from work.. I drive over a lake.. and it's breathtaking at sunset.. the black shadow of the lake against the vivid sky.. It's truly amazing..

I carded up beautiful sunset colors of corals, pinks, fuchsias and yellows.. with a hint of orange. I used fluffy merino top, squooshy targhee fleece, soft corridale fleece, curly kid mohair locks and shiny bamboo. For the black shadow of the lake, I swirled in some soft black merino, shiny black bamboo and a touch of black shimmery firestar. I added pink and orange sari silk for texture and LOTS of sparkle with firestar, and gold and shades of pink angelina

This batt is super fluffy and soft!! It is going to make an amazing sparkly yarn or felting piece..

Marshy- Handspun Corespun Uncarded Merino Art Yarn

Corespun on a cotton crochet thread

This is just an amazing yarn. I corespun some amazingly soft and fluffy merino x locks (uncarded for maximum texture) dyed in amazing shades of blues, greens and hints of brown, with bits of hand dyed blue merino top. I added 2 shades of blue and gold angelina, as well as blue and gold lurex turbo bling. This yarn reminds me of the marshes on the coast of NC.

Oh how I love corespinning!! This yarn is as light as a cloud!! I took some soft and fluffy merino x locks, and some silky and shiny kid mohair locks- dyed in the same dyepot!! The greens and grey's remind me of the colors the sky turn when a big storm is about to hit.

I corespun these locks, with steel and peacock green angelina for sparkle. I spun sections of the mohair, then sections of the merino x, so the yarn will stripe fibers when worked- but since the fibers were in the same dyepot, the color will stay the same throughout- just the fiber will stripe. There's LOTS of texture in this yarn from the curls of the locks.

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost..

Wraps per inch: 3-4
Recommended needles: 15 or higher
Recommended hook: M or higher

This is a really fun yarn! I carded up a batt of beautiful whites- rambouliet, targhee lamb fleece, bamboo, silk, curly kid mohair locks and banana silk for extra texture. For sparkle I added 2 shades of irridecent and silver angelina, and white firestar. I spun the yarn thick and thin, plied it with laceweight brushed mohair sparkle yarn and a bunch of "icicles" from twists plied into the yarn.

I can spin another skein of this yarn, if you'd like more yardage.

Recommended needles: 13 or higher
Recommended hook: M or higher

Autumn refuses to give up here and we have had some beautiful days! You'd never know it was snowing only hours away from us! I carded a SUPER soft and smooth batt of squooshy merino top, silky bamboo and shiny silk with tons of angelina and firestar for sparkle. I used the colors of the blazing leaves- mustard, sage, maroon, spice, gold, cranberry and chocolate.
silk leaves are included to spin into your yarn or include in your final project.

They were carded with love on my Strauch Finest drum carder. These batts are smoothie batts-carded from top and have no add in's.. other than sparkle. They are suitable for spinning thin or bulky.

I was talking a walk yesterday under the most amazing endless blue sky.. and I came home and carded up this beauty!! I carded up 3 shades of blue merino, 2 shades of blue bamboo and blue silk with blue cotswold clouds, romney locks, and blue corridale fleece. I added curly kid mohair locks and squooshy merino/cormo fleece in amazing shades of blue. There's LOTS of sparkle from blue firestar, blue glitterati and many shades of blue angelina.

I added some blue sequins strands and white pom poms (sparkle and non sparkle) for those perfect puffy clouds.

This batt is super soft and sparkly. It will make a fabu yarn or felting piece!

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. If you'd like a more blended effect, I can run it thru the carder again, just convo me on checkout.

This batt was carded with love on my Louet Classic drum carder. These are fleeceytop batts- so they are semi textured. Of course all the yummy add in's layered throughout the batt as well (not just on top!) Also, as this batt contains farm wools- there is a bit of lanolin left in the wool. This will make your hands super soft when you spin, and then give the yarn a nice hot bath and your yarn will be soft and fluffy. Also, there also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin.

Like these colors but don't spin. Custom spinning is available, convo me for more details!

This is a 3 inch glass disc filled with a rainbow of color and sparkles!! I used some of my precious treasure fiber, which contains bits and pieces from past projects. There's loads of texture and sparkle.. and you could find sari silk, sequins, locks and of course tons of texture and bling!

I had a really tough time capturing the beauty of the fiber in the photos. There was always a glare and I could never catch all the sparkle! I really struggled with the best way to ship these. Because they are so fragile they have to go into a box. I'll ship in the small flat rate priority box with good packing material. 6-8 ornaments will fit into the box (depending on style) I will only charge one shipping fee and will fit as many ornaments in the box as I can. If you order more than 6 ornaments, and they have to go into a larger box, there may be an additional shipping fee.

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

The felted soap available in this listing is Chai Tea Spice. Tracey used the cold process method of making this wonderful soap. It has a wonderful spicy aroma and contains organic chai tea and cocoa butter.

This soap is felted with a blend of oranges, browns and reds with a bit of gold sparkle.

Soap comes in a bag with a silver tie- ready for gifting!! I can felt soaps in any color of wool you'd like (with or without sparkle) This scent is only avaliable in this 4oz size. See the Custom Soap listing to design your own. Makes the perfect gift!!

Ingredients: distilled water, olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, sodium hydroxide (necessary for saponification), cocoa butter, castor oil, and an essential oil blend of blood orange, cinnamon, clove, ginger, vanilla, bergamot (bergaptene free), and nutmeg.

These soaps are made with vegetable/nut oils. Do not use if you are allergic to any nuts. For external use only.

Pregnant women should consult with an aromatherapist before using products with essential oils

Soapdishes are hardwood and and measure 4” x 2.5” x 3/4” (10cm x 6cm x 2 cm).

WOW!! It's a TWO PLY!! Yes folks.. You have a very rare yarn here from Jazzturtle Creations.. a two ply! Why don't I do more 2-plys, people have asked.. Well.. I spin up 2 singles.. and then ply them together.. so for the 86 yards here, I actually did 240 yards of spinning- you have to spin each single, then ply them together!! It's totally worth it though.. and I just LOVE how it turned out!! When I got the braids of these 2 colorways, they were just BEGGING to be spun together!

This is almost like a patchwork yarn.. it won't "stripe" but the colors will just play over the skein. There's a rainbow of colors in this yarn, and it's SO squooshy!! I added gold iris angelina while I was spinning for that touch of sparkle.

Sweet Thoughts- Handspun Woven Shawl with Art Yarns

This is an incredible shawl!! It's really amazing!! I wove it on my Ashford loom, from yarn I corespun myself.

The shawl is 59" long without fringe and 72" long with fringe. It's 12" wide.. perfect to cover your shoulders and the top of your back. The warp is a soft bamboo/silk blend, in a natural creamy white. The weft is handspun corespun and tailspun yarns that I spun from mohair locks, cotswold locks, rambo locks, xl merino locks, banana silk, bamboo, novelty yarn snippets, fabric, firestar, angelina, lurex and sari silk. It's beautiful shades of pinks, rusts, browns, white and even a touch of yellow in some fabric here and there.

There's TONS of texture in this shawl.. but it's still soft and very drapy because of the bamboo/silk warp. I don't find the bling or mohair scratchy, and I do have sensitive skin. If you are SUPER sensitive, I would wear this shawl over a shirt, rather than a tank top.
I made sure the curly locks were sticking out for fun whimzy (but most of them are sticking out on ONE side.. so not to be scratchy to you). There's LOTS of sparkle in this piece as well, from the novelty yarn snippets to all the bling spun into the yarn. You'll shimmer and shine when you have this on!!

I spun some beautiful white and shades of purple batts thick and thin. There's white firestar and a couple shades of purple angelina for sparkle. I plied the single with a fun purple novelty yarn.. it has a bit of "flaggy fringe" that really adds a lot of fun texture!

I love spinning hemp.. it's so fun!! This hemp is the softest I have spun, and it comes from Louet. It's dyed in fun colors- pinks, dark blue, yellow and some black. I spun in pinches of irridecent angelina for loads of sparkle.

Hemp is a plant fiber, and is totally vegan. It is also a wonderful choice for people with wool allergies. Hemp gets softer with washings, and it very strong and cool.

This is a very special yarn!! It's spun from a soft and fluffy "Spontaneous Spinning Batt", from the amazing artist Loop.etsy. Her batts have been on the cover of "Spin Off Magazine" and featured in a new spinning DVD, "Sit and Spin". She carded up this huge batt in beautiful and shimmery shades white and silver, with TONS of silver and irridecent angelina and firestar.

I corespun the batt around a cotton crochet thread. I added a few snippets of white lace while I spun for some texture and whimzy. The entire time I was spinning, I let a silver filament thread wrap around the outside for an extra bit of texture and sparkle. To make this yarn extra amazing, on the filament thread, I strung in 36 Swarvowski crystals- 29 clear "diamond" faceted crystals and 7 iridescent "aurora borialis" square faceted crystals.

I imagined this yarn knit up lacy on big needles for a beautiful wedding wrap. This listing includes 2 skeins- enough for a small wrap. If you'd like me to spin a corresponding yarn with white and silver.. with or without crystals, so you can make a larger project, let me know. Turnaround for custom yarns is 2 weeks.

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost..

Ok, I admit it. I'm a sucker for Do Wap.. and I when I saw this pink and grey fiber.. I knew I wanted to do poodle skirt batts!!

I carded supersoft HOT pink with grey/black superwash merino/cashmere/nylon. I added LOTS of white firestar, and pink and black angelina for major sparkle.

These batts were carded twice with love on my Straunch Finest drum carder. They are super soft and sparkly and are going to make amazing yarn.

Since these batts contain a high amount of superwash fiber, I DO NOT recommend them for felting

Now offering my textured fiber art batts in a new MINI size! New to art batts and want to try a small size? Perfect for felters or if you just want to add a pop of color or texture in a yarn. Also super fun to spin a bunch together for a striping yarn!

This mini uses super soft fibers in bright shades! There's contrast from smooth black silk. Of course there's loads of sparkle from firestar and angelina. Included is a fabric flower to spin into you yarn or add to you final project.

This batt is super fluffy and soft!! It is going to make an amazing sparkly yarn or felting piece..

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. If you'd like more of a blended effect, convo me upon checkout and I'll run it thru the carder again.

This batt was carded with love on my Louet Classic drum carder. These are fleeceytop batts- so they are semi textured. Of course all the yummy add in's layered throughout the batt as well (not just on top!) Also, as this batt contains farm wools- there is a bit of lanolin left in the wool. This will make your hands super soft when you spin, and then give the yarn a nice hot bath and your yarn will be soft and fluffy. Also, there also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin.

Like these colors but don't spin. Custom spinning is available, convo me for more details!

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

Tracey used the cold process method of making this wonderful soap. This soap has a energizing blend of mint essential oils to invigorate the skin and keep you warm this winter.

I felted these amazing soaps with soft wool and fun sparkles!! The lemon mint is yellow with green sparkles, and the double mint is green with green sparkles.

I included some sequins strands to spin into your yarn or work into your final project.

This is an amazing batt! As fall approaches the fields change from a deep green to a beautiful amber gold. I carded up this batt from sand merino, beautiful brown and gold bamboo, creamy soysilk, brown llama locks, amber alpaca locks and burnt merino locks. I carded them up with shades of gold angelina and firestar.. and for extra texture gold sari silk.

The locks for these batts come from happy sheep. They are dyed with professional dyes.

I added lots of orange and chocolate shiny bamboo. Of course there's TONS of sparkles from many kinds of angelina and firestar.

I carded up beautiful chocolate alpaca and llama locks with shades of green corridale and green and brown merino/cormo flece. I added some squooshy merino fleece in shades of browns and greens, and some green sticky wool for texture. I added some soft and curly kid mohair locks in shades of brown and a bit of green. I carded in lots of recycled yarn and sari silk for fun. Of course there's lot of sparkle from many colors of angelina, lurex and firestar. *the firestar looks pink in the photo.. but it's really a bronze. I couldn't get the firestar to be true to color in the photos..*

I call these batts Treasure Chest batts for a couple of reasons.. The treasure fiber comes from my treasure box..

But what is "treasure fiber"? This is spinner's gold.. the extra special bits leftover on the drum carder after carding a batt.. and all the fiber leftover from projects.. all gets thrown into a big tub.. then I pull from it to create a wonderful cacophony of color and texture for you to create amazing fiber art!

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. This batt was carded with love on my Louet Classic drum carder. These are fleecy textured batts- they are carded from top and fleece, so they are super textured- but balanced by the soft merino top. There also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin. There's also textural add in's layered throughout the batt as well (not just on top!)

Is it REALLY this time already? Yep.. we have less than 2 months crafting time before Halloween.. so it's time to start crafting!

This batt will cause anyone to Hooooooooooooooooowl to the moon!! I carded from superfine soft black merino, black bamboo and tons of white add-in's. There's lot of white curly kid mohair locks, hemp fuzz, bamboo noil, silk noil, novelty yarn snippets, thread waste and banana silk. I added LOTS of sparkles with clear/white and black angelina and black and white firestar.

This batt is super fluffy and soft!! It is going to make an amazing sparkly yarn or felting piece..

I was up late last night and got sucked into an old black and white movie. I love the contrast between the black and white. I carded up a Blanc et Noir batt using the squooshiest targhee fleece and a touch of soft rambouliet top.. both in natural white. I added lots of white silky milk protein fiber and shiny bamboo and tencel. Then I added TONS of black "stuff" black silk noil, natural black kid mohair locks, black novelty yarn snippets, black hemp, black thread waste, black firestar, black angelina. This batt is super fun and will spin or felt up into something wonderful!

This will make a beautiful, soft and sparkly piece!

Jewel of the Nile Knit scarf with Handspun yarn

This is a BEAUTIFUL scarf that's perfect for year round wear! It's in shades of greens, teals and cranberry. I tailspun some really soft and curly lincoln locks and then knit the yarn with HUGE needles into this open knit scarf.

It's knit with a really open stitch so the yarn is really shown off. The scarf is 5 inches wide and 7 feet long. There are some circle shell beads at the ends rather than fringe.

This scarf is just perfect to wrap around your neck a few times.. it's long enough to hang down to your knees and look fantastic!!

I have sensitive skin and don't find this yarn itchy against my skin, however if you are SUPER sensitive you might want to wear this on the outside of your jacket.

I just love the glistening of first snow. I carded up some of the softest white merino top, baby alpaca top, handfuls of fluffy cashmere and yak/silk top (50/50), with shiny bamboo and tencel, silky milk protein fiber and smooth silk. I added LOADS of sparkle from white and silver firestar, silver lurex, and silver, crystal purple and icy blue angelina. I blended these batts twice, so the fibers are blended for a smoother batt. The sparkles are also well blended for max effect!

These batts will spin into a soft and sparkly yarn.
They were carded with love on my Strauch Finest drum carder. These batts are smoothie batts-carded from top and have no add in's.. other than sparkle. They are suitable for spinning thin or bulky.

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

Tracey used the cold process method of making these wonderful soaps. Use these mint and citrus infused soaps to energize the body and chase away the shivers this winter.

I felted these amazing soaps with lux blend of fibers with no sparkle and would be perfect for giving to that hard to shop for man on your list! The Lemon mint is a blend of greens, white, orange and a bit of blue, and the mojito is a blend of blues, greens and a bit of yellow.

Ingredients:

My most favorite beach treasure is sea glass. Smooth and frosty.. the translucent green is so beautiful. I carded up this batt inspired by this beach treasure. 3 shades of sea glass green merino top and is carded with textured sea glass corridale fleece and sea glass targhee fleece and a bit of sea glass cotswold clouds. I added some soft and curly sea glass kid mohair locks for shine. There's lots of sea glass green firestar, angelina and glitterati for that ocean sparkle.

This will make a beautiful, soft and sparkly piece!

I had a really tough time capturing the beauty of the fiber in the photos. There was always a glare and I could never catch all the sparkle! This is a color explosion of soft textures and bright shades of pink, blue and yellow. I corespun a supersoft batt of these amazing shades.. with curly locks, novelty yarns and sparkly fabric. Of course there's loads of bling with holosparkle lurex and angelina. For even more punch there's hot pink feather boa snippets.

This yarn is very soft with fantastic sparkle. It will make an amazing piece!

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost..

Blazing Aspens SET - Handspun HaloSpun and Corespun Tailspun Art Yarns

I just LOVE these yarns!! This HaloSpun yarn was a VERY difficult yarn to spin because it combines three different techniques and your hands have to do 3 different things at the same time!! It's TOTALLY worth it though, because the yarn it creates is just amazing!!

I took some AMAZING fibers dyed in brilliant shades of yellow, orange, saffron and brown. I corespun and tailspun them uncarded them with angelina and firestar. For the halospun, I took the same fiber.. and spun it as a single with a very light gold mohair and angelina translucent wrap, along with a brown sparkle lurex thread wrap around the outside.

These yarns are amazing!! The Halsopun is SUPER SUPER bulky to bulky.. These 15 yards will make great trim or a wonderful skinny scarf. It will work very well with the totally textured corespun/tailspun yarn.

The HaloSpun yarn uses the spinning techniques autowrapping an outside thread, corespun translucent mohair and spinning uncarded and loose fiber- and you have to do all of them at the same time. It creates a truly unique yarn, but it uses a lot of fiber and takes an incredible amount of time to produce, resulting in the higher costs.

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. Tailspinning is a form of corespinning- which is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. Instead of coming the locks smooth, the end if opened and corespun into the yarn, leaving the curly end free. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost.

Corespun on a cotton crochet thread

This is a wonderful yarn! I really love it!! I spun this yarn "out of the bag" style.. from uncarded fiber and locks, rather than a carded batt.

I corespun some beautiful uncarded corridale fleece dyed in autumny shades of orange, brick, sage, grey, cranberry. For super fun texture, I taispun the softest curly kid mohair locks in saffron, brick and pear. For contrast, I used some creamy soysilk. Of course this yarn is FULL of fun add in's like sari silk ribbon, sari silk strands and angelina. While I was spinning, I allowed a brick lurex thread to autowrap around the outside

This is an amazing yarn and will create an incredible piece!

PURPLE!! Oh how I love purple and I'm sharing my stash with you! I carded up the most amazing shades of purple texured farm wools with many shades of purple sparkles and purple sari silk. I added some purple sequins to spin into your yarn or add to your finished piece.

This will make a beautiful, soft and sparkly piece!

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. If you'd like more of a blended effect, convo me upon checkout and I'll run them thru the carder again.

This batt was carded with love on my Louet Classic drum carder. These are TOTALLY textured batts- they are carded from ONLY fleece, so they are super duper chunky. Of course all the yummy add in's layered throughout the batt as well (not just on top!) Also, as this batt contains farm wools- there is a bit of lanolin left in the wool. This will make your hands super soft when you spin, and then give the yarn a nice hot bath and your yarn will be soft and fluffy. Also, there also may be a bit of VM that didn't come out in the carding. That will fall out as you spin.

Like these colors but don't spin. Custom spinning is available, convo me for more details

This is a 2 inch glass disc filled with white, green and red curly kid mohair locks and gold and silver sparkle! Enjoy the perfect structure and curls of these amazing locks. The angelina will catch the light and sparkle beautifully.

I can make as many of these as you need, just let me know. You can have any color of locks and sparkle. This style also comes in 2", 2.5", 3" balls and 3" drop and 3" disc, or convo me if you'd like an entire set and I'll put up a reserved listing.

I had a really tough time capturing the beauty of the fiber in the photos. There was always a glare and I could never catch all the sparkle! The last photo is with a flash so you can kinda see the sparkle. It's also the entire set, so you can see the different shapes of the ornaments (drop is not pictured in the photo, but it is avaliable).

I really struggled with the best way to ship these. Because they are so fragile they have to go into a box. I'll ship in the small flat rate priority box with good packing material. 6-8 ornaments will fit into the box (depending on style) I will only charge one shipping fee and will fit as many ornaments in the box as I can. If you order more than 6 ornaments, and they have to go into a larger box, there may be an additional shipping fee.

I will ship these internationally, however convo me for a price as I'd have to pack it and weigh it for the exact amount.

I carded up 3 shades of green merino, with green cotswold clouds, romney locks, and green corridale fleece. I added curly kid mohair locks and squooshy merino/cormo fleece in amazing shades of green. There's LOTS of sparkle from green firestar, green glitterati and many shades of green angelina.
I included some green sari silk ribbon with gold accents to spin into your yarn or add onto your finished piece.

This batt was run thru my carder only once, so there's bold color variations. If you'd like a more blended effect, I can run it thru the carder again, just convo me on checkout.

WHAT is felted soap?? and WHY would you use it?!

Well.. First I take the most amazing handmade VEGAN soaps by T.Gurley Bath and Body. Then I felt pure merino wool around the outside (sometimes with a pinch of sparkle and silk). This felted sweater gives you a built in washcloth!! It enhances the lather and gently exfoliates. The felt makes your soap last twice as long and you use every last bit as the felt will shrink as the soap gets smaller!! (This is very important when you are using delicious handmade soaps like these!!) Once the soap is gone use the felt as a scrubbie or put it in a drawer to give your clothes a yummy scent.

TO USE: Wet felted soap and create lather.
As with all soaps, it is best left after use in its draining soap dish. Can pat dry after use if you'd like, but the wool will dry rather fast so you don't have to worry about it getting icky.

The felted soap available in this listing is Lemon Mint. It has a wonderful scent and has a great moisturizing lather.

Tracey used the cold process method of making this wonderful soap. This soap is felted with shades of purple and purple sparkle!

Soapdishes are hardwood and and measure 4” x 2.5” x 3/4” (10cm x 6cm x 2 cm).

I carded supersoft black merino, with silver and gold firestar, silver and gold angelina. I didn't hold back and really used a heavy hand when adding the bling!! I ran them thru the carder twice, so the sparkle is well blended thruout the batts. I added an extra heavy dose of bling on top for fun when I was done blending.

These batts are custom carded. I can card them with only gold or only silver sparkle (rather than mixed) If you'd like it another way than mixed let me know in the message to seller upon checkout. If there's no preference stated, the default is a gold/silver mix. As these batts are carded upon order, please allow an extra couple days until they are shipped.

These batts will spin into a soft and sparkly yarn. They were carded with love on my Strauch Finest drum carder. These batts are smoothie batts-carded from top and have no add in's.. other than sparkle. They are suitable for spinning thin or bulky.

I have had LOTS of requests for a monthly batt club, and I've finally made it happen! Here it is.. your monthly dose of Jazzturtle Fiber Fun- in the SMALL size package!!

Once a month, for 3 months, You'll receive 1 batt (weighing 2 oz or more) and some special embellishments for your yarn or finished object. These batts will be carded on my Strauch Finest drum carder. You have the options of SMOOTHIE batts (carded from TOP only) or TEXTURED batts (carded from top and farm wool). If you do not specify that you want SMOOTHIE only batts, you will receive the default, which is a mix of the two. *please NOTE- if you request smoothie, I will convo you to ask HOW smooth (some texture and add in's.. or NO TEXTURE at all!!)

If you are wanting a larger batt, that weighs at more than 2oz, you should check out the FULL size monthly club, with batts carded on my Louet drum carder :)
Now there's a size to fit everyone's appetite!!

You can tell me any allergies you may have (angora, mohair etc) and if you want bling or no bling, and if you'd prefer textured or smooth.. but the rest is a surprise!! Leave it to me to create something wonderful for you to play with! You are guaranteed to get texture, bling and TONS of fun and different fibers and textures like soysilk, bamboo, tencel, sari silk.. more than the standard "wool blend"

PLEASE let me know if you are a FELTER so I will NOT include any superwash fibers in your batts!!!

Batts are sent around the 20th of each month. If you buy your subscription before the 15th of the month, your batt will go out that month. If you buy your subscription after the 15th of that month, your batts will begin arriving the next month.

Photos in this listing are not the batts that will be sent, but are examples of previous batts I have carded. Your batt could contain any and all of the following fibers: farm wool, merino, corridale, shetland, alpaca, finn, bfl, silk, bamboo, tencel, sari silk, silk waste, silk noil, banana silk, angelina, firestar, glitterati, recycled denim, ecospun, angora, mohair, cashmere

This is a SUPER fun yarn!! It's rainbow of colors and sparkles just brings a smile to my face!! I corespun superwash merino in random strips of color, so the yarn will stripe random colors and lengths when worked.

This is superwash wool, so it can be machine washed (though I still handwash all my handspun yarns, even if they are superwash) It's your choice :) I do recommend laying flat to dry.

Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core, between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn that is very strong. It does however, take longer to spin and results in the higher cost..

This is a delicious yarn! I really love it!! I corespun all uncarded fiber for maximum texture. I used curly teeswater locks, shiny and soft kid mohair locks and squooshy frannie locks.. all dyed in beautiful shades of orange- not bright orange.. more of a yummy pumpkin spice.. I added a few color of copper angelina and lurex for extra sparkle. The kid mohair locks and teeswater locks were tailspun, for maximum curl factor!

This is an amazing yarn and will create an incredible piece!

One of my favorite things about fall is picking pumpkins from the patch! I love to find the one with the most unusual shape and texture.. and then a small one for cooking (mom always said the smaller the sweeter) I spun up a super fun textured picking pumpkins yarn by corespinning a load of uncarded fiber dyed in fun shades of orange, greens and a touch of brown. I corespun corridale fleece, romney lamb locks, suri alpaca locks, targhee fleece, and I tailspun some curly kid mohair locks for maximum curl factor! While I was spinning I added lots of green and copper angelina for sparkle, and a green lurex thread wrapped around the outside like the "pumpkin vine" thru the patch.

This is a 3 inch glass drop filled with a textured mix of blue and purple fiber. There's LOADS of sparkle from angelina, lurex and glitterati. There's even some sari silk strands. I used some of my precious treasure fiber, which contains bits and pieces from past projects. There's loads of texture and sparkle.. and you could find pieces of yarn, sequins, locks and of course tons of texture and bling!

I had a really tough time capturing the beauty of the fiber in the photos. There was always a glare and I could never catch all the sparkle!

I really struggled with the best way to ship these. Because they are so fragile they have to go into a box. I'll ship in the small flat rate priority box with good packing material. 6-8 ornaments will fit into the box (depending on style) I will only charge one shipping fee and will fit as many ornaments in the box as I can. If you order more than 6 ornaments, and they have to go into a larger box, there may be an additional shipping fee.

This is a super fun yarn!! I'm not sure if I can call it yarn.. I think I can.. it's yarn.. but it's POSEABLE yarn!! Yep that's right!! POSABLE on WIRE!!

I corespun this yarn over a 28 gauge wire so it's bendable but still workable. I used a deep mysterious batt of grays, purples, cranberries, greens, with splashes of other colors. It reminds me of a garden shimmering in the moonlight.

I imagine a some beautiful jewelry knit up with this, or trim on a knit or crochet bowl/vase. I think it would be great in felting and scrapbooking, since you can manipulate and it'll stay.

I just LOVE this yarn! I'm having a hard time actually listing it! There is a base of purple and pink.. amazing textures of fibers- wools, bamboo, silk.. with LOADS of colors from locks and sari silk.. there's tons of bling in all forms..

This yarn reminds me of the colors and textures of a live concert.. the clothes people wear.. the music.. all the colors of the lights.. This yarn makes me want to boogie down!

Hazy Rainbow - Handspun HaloSpun Art Yarn

I just LOVE This yarn!! This HaloSpun yarn was a VERY difficult yarn to spin because it combines three different techniques and your hands have to do 3 different things at the same time!! It's TOTALLY worth it though, because the yarn it creates is just amazing!!

I took some fuzzy slightly felty mystery fleece dyed in bright shades of red, orange, yellow, green and blue. I spun them in that order (repeating twice) with random lengths. While I was spinning the fleece, I added a very light translucent white mohair halo with floating neps- from a batt I carded of white kid mohair locks, angelina and wool neps. The wool neps float inside the mohair halo. As both those things were happening,I let a rainbow lurex holosparkle thread wrap around the outside, encasing the yarn in a bit of sparkle.

This yarn is amazing!! It's SUPER SUPER bulky to bulky.. in spots it's even thicker than my thumb!! These 13 yards will make great trim or a wonderful skinny scarf. The HaloSpun yarn uses the spinning techniques autowrapping an outside thread, corespun translucent mohair and spinning uncarded and loose fiber- and you have to do all of them at the same time. It creates a truly unique yarn, but it uses a lot of fiber and takes an incredible amount of time to produce, resulting in the higher costs.

I softly spun this amazing blend of merino/bamboo/silk dyed in shades of yellows/greens/browns slightly thick and thin, however it is not super bulky like most of my thick and thin yarns! I spun this yarn as a mini art yarn.. so it varies between dk and sport weight. This yarn will randomly stripe when worked.

This yarn is VERY soft and has no sparkles, but does have a beautiful sheen from the silk and bamboo!! It will make a wonderful piece!

Recommended hook: L or higher

This is a really fun necklace that I made from my handspun supercoil art yarn. I spun a single out of a fun batt. Then I made supercoils, twisted the coils against itself and felted the ends together.

This necklace contains blues, white and pinches of yellow, orange and red.. Like a koi pond with the sparkles of the sea!

Supercoiling is a labor intensive spinning technique, where I spin a single, and then coil it around a core thread. It takes FOREVER, and requires some handwinding onto the bobbin- but it's totally worth it, because the yarn is just fabu!

This great piece can be worn lots of ways!! Wear with jeans and a t-shirt, or a cute top and skirt.. Wear it down our wrap it around your neck twice.. this will make any outfit unique!!
This necklace would look great layered with the shorter piece available in another listing.

This is a really fun necklace that I made from my handspun art yarn and vintage ribbon.

I carded a fun batt with loads of colors and textures. I spun it up as singles.. Then I crocheted a chain- and felted it. Some of the singles I plied with black thread and made a fun beehive yarn, and finally I spun some supercoils.

This necklace contains a felted crocheted chain, a beehive thread ply strand, a strand of supercoils and 2 strands of vintage ribbon (one black and one sheer white). I felted the ends together with some soft black merino wool. There's a loop that attaches around a pink button I sewed on for the closure.

This necklace contains lots of fun colors!!

This great piece can be worn lots of ways!! Wear with jeans and a t-shirt, or a cute top and skirt.. this will make any outfit unique!!
