As usual at this time of year, I dress for a warm summer's day in the morning, but then find myself chilled by over-efficient air conditioning, and there's nothing worse than being cold all day when it's gorgeous outside.

A poncho is a great solution to this 'what am I going to wear today, it's hot but I'll be freezing' dilemma - and this one, in cherry blossom white, won't look odd over a cute summer outfit. Even better, it's identical front and back, so you can wear it with one point at the front and one at the back (off centre if that's how you like it) or wear it sideways so the points hang in pretty folds over your arms.

Hand knitted in a mesh stitch using a vegan-friendly acrylic yarn, this wrap has two mahogany wood buttons, one at each end of one side, that you can use to fasten it into lots of different styles.

Sari Ribbon Scarf

The Sari ribbon I used to knit this versatile scarf has the most beautiful shades of pink, yellow and orange, with silver metallic threads running through the middle. It really is gorgeous stuff, and absolutely feather-light.

I've used a very loose and stretchy stitch to make this, and while I've included measurements below, they're fairly fluid, in the sense that the scarf can be stretched so you can wear it in a number of ways.

Tie it round your shoulders with a knot at the front, or even tie the knot behind your back so it forms a shrug - or simply use it as a scarf - it's up to you. However you wear it, it'll add a little sparkle of sunshine :)
