Just in time for the holidays, this colorful leaping reindeer adds a perfect touch of cheer to the tree or wherever displayed.

Hand cut from porcelain, this reindeer's swirled patterned surface was made using stamps and hand tools. Frosty blue, white, mint green, and gold toned glazes were used to decorate. Individually made, no two reindeer are identical!

A little sign on the side of this stoneware bird house reads "Bird Shack."

Hand assembled, various patterns and textures embellish the walls and roof. This freestanding shanty can be used for decoration, or positioned outside, to attract birds.

Leaf shaped cut outs on two upper walls provide ventilation, and cut outs in the bottom provide drainage. The opening has a diameter of 1.25 inches.

My translucent glaze beautifully reveals the speckled stoneware and design, even my fingerprints, where I held each tumbler while glazing. Stuck Bunny Vase in White

One curious little bunny, ventured too close to my spinning wheel!

Wheel thrown, bunny details were added to this stoneware vessel, creating the illusion of a bunny spiraling with the clay.

Inspiration for my vase, came after seeing a Mayan pot with a bunny motif. I learned that in the Southern Hemisphere, a rabbit can be seen on the face of the moon. So, a long time ago, a Mayan potter was inspired by the rabbit on the moon, and made a pot that influenced me. Way cool!

After throwing the body of this jar I had to open a new bag of clay to throw a lid. It wasn't until after the firing that I realized the lid was made from an iron flecked stoneware. I love how it turned out, but I'll have to remember to label my clay from now on.

Primitive in appearance, this "creature bowl" is visually engaging. It's diminutive center pocket can hold an eclectic array of goodies: Display a flower, illuminate with a votive, store found shells, beach glass . . .

After being thrown on the wheel, the outer wall was cut, altered, and joined creating three legs. Once standing, hand tools impressed, incised, and fashioned a surface pattern that made it, well--creaturely, primitive and of course, unique.
