Peachy Keen, handknit hat made with handspun and hand dyed yarn

$40.00
A hat made from a small skein of Wee Ball Yarns plus a little commercially spun yarn. The Wee Ball Yarn was merino carded with creamy yak fleece and some bits and pieces, including some silk fabric that pokes out now and again. The crown was finished with some wool mixed with some mohair of the same peachy delight colour to match the rest of the hat. Soft and delicious.

Fits to adult medium in a nice, warm snug fit.

Little Sweet Thing, crocheted children's hat made from handspun yarn

$45.00
This hat was crocheted with a skein of yarn from etsyian islandsweet. She called it Medieval Garden because the colours reminded her of illuminated transcripts and tapestries. The subtle richness of the colours, along with a lovely sheen to the yarn does give it a sense of beauty and quiet that is seen in the works created in cloisters during the Middle Ages. This hat shows off the beautiful yarn to its utmost. I used a little bit of merino to create a decorative edge but otherwise, I let the yarn speak for itself.

The hat is made from merino, soy silk and other bits and pieces including some angelina glitz so it has a sparkle. The yarn was hand dyed and spun by islandsweet. It was made to fit up to a large child - a small adult could get away with it as a cap style.

The soft alpaca brim, knit to look like Persian lamb, means this warm hat will not cause an itchy forehead. A romantic look that recalls those dramatic winter nights when the full moon casts its shadows over the Blowmidon Mountains.
