This shapely stoneware soap dispenser will brighten up any sink! The glaze colors range from a deep blue to minty green, with some area of the speckled stoneware showing through. The top is a handsome brushed metal that screws into a plastic setting.

These little stoneware bowls have an amazing range of glaze colors, entrancing to look at. They remind me of the Milky Way, with a black hole in evidence, too.`These are the perfect sizes for a scoop of ice cream, a serving of nuts or both! One measures about 4 inches in diameter, stands 2 inches high, the other 4.5" x 2.25".

All my work is hand-made from stoneware and/or porcelain. After the pieces are wheel-thrown or hand-built, they are fired first in a bisque fire, then glazed and high fired in an electric kiln. All glazes on the insides of containers are food, microwave and dishwasher safe. (I do use lusters and metallics on the jewelry that shouldn’t be put in the microwave!!) Two condiment bowls

These two small bowls are perfect for those small quantities of things you need at the table or by the stove. Also perfect for that modest serving of nuts or jellybeans that will satisfy the craving without making you feel deprived. These are glazed in a cool blue on the interior, a variegated brown on the outside. One is 3.5 inches in diameter, 2.5 inches high, the other is 2.75 inches in diameter, 1.5 inches high. The larger one holds about 10 ounces, the smaller 3 ounces.

These are wheel-thrown porcelain, glazed with food-safe glazes and very nice in the hand!

What more could a girl ask for than a man with wide open arms ready to dance beneath a great bouquet of flowers? The pot is wheel-thrown stoneware, decoration was hand-carved; the man was hand-built, fired to cone 6 in oxidation. Blue spruce glaze on the vase.

Chain, Chain, Chain Bowl

This stoneware serving bowl has an interesting design along the flared edge of the bowl reminiscent of chains. At the widest point the bowl is about 7.25 inches in diameter, 4 inches high.

Stoneware mug with a surprise! The blue-gray glaze enhances the stony look of the clay, showing brown where light and a variegated blue where the glaze is thicker. The face is under the handle, just the place to bring a smile when glimpsed as you pick up the mug.

Koi serving bowl

Imagine a carefree fish pond! Have your own beautiful koi swim in a circle on your table! This wheel-thrown stoneware bowl evokes gentle garden pools populated by subtle black and white fish with patches of red. The glaze on the bowl is a variegated blue with bits of green to remind you of the sprigs of grass usually found in such pools. Interestingly, the glaze turned almost silvery in the center where one could imagine the fish's circling creating a froth of water. All quite charming!

The bowl is about 10 inches in diameter, 3 inches high. The glazes are food-safe and the pot may be used in a microwave and washed in a dishwasher.

This stoneware bowl was wheel-thrown and trimmed with gentle grooves to catch the glaze (and makes it easier to hold, too!). The color is a wonderful spearmint green on the outside, cream on the inside with the iron speckles of the clay showing through. This bowl is a little taller than the "Her Stony Bowl" that is listed separately. They nest, though, so stacking is no problem (as shown in last photo). The dimensions of this bowl are 6.25 inches in diameter, 3 inches high.

The glaze is food-safe and may be used in the microwave and dishwasher.

This charmer is a porcelain brooch, hand-made (without the use of molds), about 2 inches by 3 inches. A simple clear glaze over a black underglaze makes the eyes stand out. Then a third firing with iridescent glaze over the white and pink for the ears provide the irresistible touches.

This is a fun pitcher looking for an owner with a quirky sense of humor. Two flamingos animate this pitcher, one forming the spout, the other the handle. Be forewarned that the flamingos like to hang out in an highly visible spot, strutting their stuff.

The pitcher was wheel-thrown, the flamingos hand-sculpted. Glazes are food safe.

Simply black and white tea for two

The porcelain teapot and two teacups were wheel-thrown and altered. Notice the face under the handle. The contrast between the satiny and glossy black of the glaze against the white of the porcelain offers an opportunity to contemplate the wonders of our world and a lovely cup of tea.

The teapot holds 2 cups (measures 9 inches (widest point spout to handle) and stands about 4.5 inches high. The cups hold just over and just under 4 ounces respectively (are approximately 2.5 by 3 and 2.5 by 2.5 inches high).

Red flower pot

Wheel-thrown, porcelain pot with a charming abstract flower as the lid's handle. The glaze color is a wonderful satin gray-green with a brilliant red on the flower. A few decorative dots of the red glaze spill down the front of the pot, turning blue at the edges.

The pot is about 7.4 inches high (with the lid). This is a very useful size--for storing anything from sugar or tea bags to favorite bracelets, cuff links or spare change.

Food-safe glazes and may be used in the microwave and dishwasher.

Black elegance pot

This small beauty has a soaring shape with a nicely fitting top. The black glaze has just a touch of a brown, almost silvery, glaze highlighting the curvature. The inside is a nice bone color that shows the iron speckles from the clay.

It is a perfect size for keeping those little odds and ends that gather in the front hall--necessary to keep handy, but annoyingly messy. The 5 inch wide (at widest point), 3.75 inch high (5.75 with top) pot would also work well as a honey or sugar jar--or for those little packets of sugar substitutes you have to keep around for guests!

The glazes are food safe and the pot may be used in the microwave and washed in the dishwasher.

Truffle Colored Plate too

Yum. This lovely stoneware plate has a glossy black underglaze that looks like rich dark chocolate with a spray of a milk chocolate over it. This dark color will make most foods incredibly delectable. The plate is about 8.5 inches in diameter, 1.5 inches high. The glazes match "The color of truffles plate" (the size is slightly smaller in diameter and very slightly deeper) and "Black elegance pot."

Spiral honey pot

I made this wonderful honey pot on a potter's wheel and added an easy to grasp spiral handle on the top. A cut-out for the dipper (or spoon if you prefer), makes it a very useful and handy pot for honey or sugar.

The glaze is a subtle blue-gray on the outside with the speckled clay showing through, and a light powder blue on the inside. The pot is 4.75 inches in diameter, 4.5 inches high (5.5 inches with the top).

This delightful piece highlights a small sculpture of an older, mustasched man sitting on the edge of a deeply grooved plate. It would make an excellent focal point for a newly renovated bathroom or kitchen--great for soap or sponges.
