This is a one of a kind beauty, a piece that you won't forget in your closet and that no one will forget when you wear it.

I call it the Fire Shawl. It's made of 100% uruguayn merino wool that is so soft and not itchy. The yarn was colored using OEKO TEX approved dyes. The colors range from a light orange through the spectrum of reds to briefly touch adobe clay brown, and then back again. Because of the nature of the coloring process and the structure of the lace, the colors are randomly placed, some areas focus more on the reds and some areas more on orange. This is simply part of what makes the shawl unique and lovely.

The stitching is a traditional crocheted pineapple pattern, four squares with the distinctive shape inside. It retains warmth nicely, keeping my lap toasty warm as I pieced it together!

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry, or dry clean. Care well for this piece and it will keep you warm for a long long time!

2) Neckline. How tall should the collar be, and how big around the neck? Measure comfortably where your neck and shoulders meet.

3) Shoulders. Measure from where your neck and shoulder meet across to the point of your shoulder. Also measure shoulder-to-shoulder across your back.

4) Length. Measure from the base of your neck down your back, as far as you would like the length to go. Middle back looks very nice.

5) Clasp. Would you like a frog clasp, or a ribbon, or left open?

The shawl pictured is one I made for a September bride, to keep her shoulders warm at her reception. She and I worked together to find a yarn and come up with a design that was *just* right, and I believe she has an heirloom piece that is machine washable.

This is made from a machine-washable thick fluffy acrylic that is surprisingly warm. It is about 6 feet long, with pointed ends. The lace has two different sizes of sunbursts or flowers and diagonal lines of very open lace.

I'd love to make this for you, too! Of course there are other colors and lengths and fibers are available, I love to make a piece that is perfect for the wearer.

You just have to look closer at this one. It's made of a wool and mohair blend that is not scratchy on the skin. It is a rich green color that gets lighter and darker throughout so the finished piece looks marbled.

This stole is made of seven squares that have lots of curved lines and open spaces. The combination of colors and shapes really draws the eye.

This is a one of a kind beauty, wear it with a black dress to make a stunning entrance.

I call it the Leaves and Shadows Shawl. It's made of 100% uruguayn merino wool that is so soft and not itchy. The yarn was colored to my specification using OEKO TEX approved dyes. The colors include shades of rich green and true black. Because of the nature of the coloring process and the structure of the piece, the colors are randomly placed, some areas focus more on the green and some areas more on black. This is simply part of what makes the shawl unique and lovely.

The shape is similar to a circle shawl, in that there is a round neckline and the fabric will gather loosely across your back. It has a very unique zig-zag, in fact instead of being a true circle shawl it is more like a 10-pointed star! There will be a little bit of overlap in the front, so you can close with a shawl pin, chopstick, or a crochet hook!

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry, or dry clean. Care well for this piece and it will keep you warm for a long long time!
