I was watching a wedding show on TV the other day, and the bridesmaids were wearing the most gorgeous dresses in soft gray and sunny yellow. I immediately decided that I wanted dresses exactly like them for my own wedding. Then I realized that I'm not getting married any time in the foreseeable future, so I decided to use those colors in this handspun yarn instead!

What are mill ends?
Mill ends are wool from commercial spinning mills that for whatever reason didn’t make it all the way through to become yarn. This wool is sold at a discount, which I pass on to you in the form of lower prices! Since the wool is the same stuff used by commercial yarn companies, it’s very good quality, and since using mill ends means using something that might otherwise be thrown away, it’s recycling! So you’re getting high-quality, lower priced yarns, and doing something good for the environment at the same time!

I have to start off this listing by admitting that the color accuracy in these photos is not great. There are some colors that my camera just does not like, and this green is one of them. I know the pictures make it look very yellow, but it is actually lime green. Lame, but you'll just have to trust me.

Anyway, I think this yarn is really cool looking! I dyed the wool in an unusual combination of lime green and dark blue, and those two colors will stripe randomly throughout your finished project. This yarn is a soft, bulky single ply, which is probably the most popular type of yarn I sell. Crafters love this style of yarn because it works up quickly, and it provides plenty of warmth without being too heavy.
