The beautiful hair stick is made of lovely brown wood, embellished with handmade Japanese Chiyogami paper sealed permanently to the piece. It is all finished with a .925 Sterling Silver coil.

It measures 7.25" long tip to tip. The wood section is 6".

In June of 2009, I went to a fabulous place called North Topsail Beach. I've been going to the Carolina Coast for 25 years, but this year was especially magical. During my trip, I collected these absolutely beautiful flat stones on the beach. Transluscent, smooth, beckoning to be jewelry. Each angle brings a different color, with endless possibilities.

Thus, the auryndesign Sea Stone Collection was born. Each piece is a little piece of my soul, as each day I yearn to be there.

Large bamboo leaves in the brightest and sunniest of pinks.

The handmade Japanese chiyogami paper is sealed on sumi ink-painted wood under a thick resin coat for a durable finish that truly looks like glass. It really brings out the color contrasts of bright pink on black.

The pendant portion is the same size as one of my large stand-alone pendants, 1.75" (4.4 cm) long by 1.125" wide.

To add a bit of design charm, I drilled a large hole and accented the piece with a carved soapstone bead.

The black woven cotton necklace cord measures 24" (61 cm) and is finished with a silver plated toggle clasp. The last photo is a sample to show how it hangs.

As with all of my other pretties, it comes gift-ready.

I've taken a 1.5" wooden shape and applied beautiful handmade Japanese chiyogami paper to the wood after sanding to perfection. The entire piece is sealed in two layers of resin for a glass-like, durable finish.

So I had this great idea, I wanted to find a way to take my successful bracelet design and turn it into something to wear around the neck. Here's what I came up with, and I'm pleased as punch to bring it to you. Unique and affordable, you could wear this with something fancy, or jeans. Seriously, it's versatile.

Featured on smooth wood and sealed two layers of thick resin for awesome durability and shine is a lovely print of handmade Japanese Chiyogami paper. A warm, sweet but simple floral motif. The circle measures 1.5" (3.8 cm) in diameter.

After drilling the perfect holes, the piece is accented with a contrasting ceramic and wood bead on each side. It's strung on black braided cotton cord in any length your heart desires - just let me know in the message to seller in the checkout.

A few years back, I purchased a strand of bright blue, unique vintage German pressed glass beads. I was quite taken with the interesting squiggle pattern and the color - the fluidity like water. The shape said "earrings" to me immediately.

I've matched a pair of these beads with complimenting blackstone beads and suspended them on handmade, thick hammered sterling silver head pins and sterling ear hooks.

The pair measures 1.75" long with a 1.25" dangle. This is the exact pair you will receive.

It's a trio of big circles in a fun, unique retro-styled pendant. Get your go-go groove on! Or not, but pretend you did!

I take a 1.5" (3.8 cm) wood circle, sanded to smooth perfection, paint with black sumi ink and apply the most gorgeous handmade Japanese paper. Once I seal it in two layers of permanent, jewelry-grade resin, the big drill comes out and you get this large, bold hole that's really eye-catching.

Finishing it off is a Sterling Silver jump ring - hand cut, coiled and hammered by me.

Featured on a copper chain is an antiqued brass replica of a Chinese coin. Apparently coins like this were used back in the day - I just know I love the look of the patina with the copper. It's bold - nearly 2.5" (6.4 cm) in length.

This is a small section from one of my original sumi-e pieces featuring a black-necked stilt, a graceful waterbird. She is very zen and calming, one of my favorite birds yet.

I've sealed the print onto a piece of wood tile. The tiny red square on the print is my hanko (signature stamp). I stained the tile black with sumi ink and finished it with resin. One of my handmade .925 sterling silver bails securely finishes the pendant, which measures 1.25" square (1.5" with the bail). It is packed in a cotton-lined gift box, perfect for gift giving.

A bright floral scene in an interesting, almost eclipse-like shape.

I've taken a 1.5" wooden shape and applied beautiful handmade Japanese chiyogami paper to the wood after drilling/finishing. I sealed the entire piece in resin for an unbeatable shine and durability.

The centerpiece is accented with patterned wood beads and strung on black silicone cord. It's finished with a silver-plated toggle clasp.

It's 7.5" (19.1 cm) long with a 7" inner circumference and comes in a simple black gift box, perfect for gift giving.

So I had this great idea see, I wanted to find a way to take my successful bracelet design and turn it into something to wear around the neck. Here's what I came up with, and I'm pleased as punch to bring it to you. Unique and affordable, you could wear this with something fancy, or jeans. Seriously, it's versatile.

Featured on sumi-ink painted wood and sealed in a thick resin layer for awesome durability is a lovely print of handmade Japanese Chiyogami paper. A classic motif, Japanese cranes, on a cool contrasting red and mustard yellow background. The circle measures 1.5" (3.8 cm) in diameter.

Accenting the focal is a ceramic and wood bead on each side. It's strung on black braided cotton cord in any length your heart desires - just let me know in the message to seller in the checkout.

If not indicated, I'll ship you my standard 18" (45.7 cm) necklace. The last photo shows how it sits on the neck. A silver plated toggle clasp finishes the necklace.

I love the "katazome" style of Japanese chiyogami - the unique stencil block prints are simple and refined. This one is a lotus pattern.

The handmade Japanese chiyogami paper is sealed on wood under a thick resin coat for a durable finish that truly looks like glass.

Pewee the Sumi-e bird

Here's Pewee. He is, in fact, an Eastern Wood Pewee, a bird which I have always adored. I've combined my love of jewelry-making and sumi-e painting in one piece.

One of my original paintings is applied to a wood tile. The red square on the print is my hanko (signature stamp). I stained the tile black with sumi ink and sealed it with resin. One of my handmade .925 sterling silver bails securely finishes the pendant, which measures 1.25" square (1.5" with the bail). It is packed in a cotton-lined gift box, perfect for gift giving.

Such warm, delicate colors in this plum blossom pattern, it reminds me of a vintage kimono.

The handmade Japanese chiyogami paper is sealed on sumi ink-painted wood under a thick resin coat for a durable finish that truly looks like glass. It really brings out the color contrasts of green and blue on black.

The pendant portion is the same size as one of my large stand-alone pendants, 1.75" (4.4 cm) long by 1.125" wide.

To add a bit of design charm, I drilled a large hole and accented the piece with a glass bead which is painted on the inside, really intriguing stuff there!

The black woven cotton necklace cord measures 24" (61 cm) and is finished with a silver plated toggle clasp. The last photo is a sample photo which shows the hang.

As with all of my other pretties, it comes gift-ready.
