Pansy freaked with jet

Sometimes when I am trying to decide what to "name" a necklace I will search for quotes that contain ingredients from the piece. I am enamored with pansies... to me they create such a fantastic 1930's dustbowl, steinbeckian atmosphere (great to imagine, not so great to live through). Seeing as how we are in our own recession/depression that has not yet been assuaged by time methinks the pansy should be brought 'round again. So I found this quote by John Milton which by itself is wild and weird and wonderful. "The pansy freaked with jet".

Well let's hope this necklace helps you get your freak on! It is freakin' gorgeous that is for sure. The pansies are vintage celluloid that have been lovely handpainted and feature a purple center rhinestone. They have been spaced with vintage chandelier crystals and faux pearls. Attached to a vintage goldtone chain by a sterling silver antique monogram link it creates an atmosphere both romantic and modern.

Wear with a simple t-shirt or any number of fabulous dress. The options are, as they say, endless.

Inspired by Victorian mourning jewelry and their fascination with the "object" I have created a modern version. Each RELIC consists of an approximately 1" handblown glass globe on a 24" gold fill chain with a spring ring clasp.

This necklace contains red soil from the South. It is a reminder to stay grounded and to cherish the place from which you came.

I am absolutely in love with hotels, motels anything to do with travel and transition. Especially for the style of the bygone eras. Which leads me to this necklace. Ooooh this necklace. If you love to wear things with history, things that you can almost feel the energy of the ages emerging from then this is for you.

The pendant of this piece is an antique hotel key fob, you remember, before we had those bland plastic card keys, ho hum... anyway, this is from the Hotel Imperial in Portland, OR room 935 to be exact. It is made of a compressed material that has aged amazingly. Hung from a worn and aged vintage chain it also boasts a skeleton key which can hang suggestively down your back or pull it over your shoulder for some asymmetrical fun. However you wear it you will feel mysterious, adventurous and downright fascinating. And who wouldn't want that???
