This necklace features a mother of pearl button from my great grandmother's button box. I have many of these buttons, so if there's a special color combination you'd like, let me know.

The necklace is about 20 inches (51 cm) long. The pendant is about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter.

The beads are Japanese and Czech seed beads in green, aqua, copper, and yellow.

The clasp is sterling. The backing is suede.

The cabochon here is butterfly jasper and has shades of dusty rose, slate blue, gray, and bronze. I highlighted the beautiful stone with shiny gunmetal Czech glass seed beads, matte gunmetal delicas, and size 15 Japanese seed beads in a dark bronze metallic shade.

The bezel is done in peyote stitch and a picot edge. The strap is done in the same seed beads in a spiral rope stitch. To fasten it, there's a spiral sterling silver toggle clasp.

Definitely one of a kind! Mother nature never makes two stones the same.

The pendant, including the bail, is approx. 1.75 inches (44.5 mm) square. The strap is approximately 22 inches (56 cm) long, including the clasp.

The backing is black leather. All stitching is with Fireline.

The necklace will be packaged in a gift box with a gift tag.

What is more tempting than eye candy in spring colors? This necklace features a 20 mm Swarovski rivoli in vitrail bezeled with delicas and seed beads and embellished with Swarovski crystals. The strap is a spiral rope of seed beads in Swarovski crystals. The overall length is approximately 22 inches (56 cm) with a 2-inch extender, so you can wear this with a variety of necklines. The findings are sterling silver.

I can shorten the necklace if needed. I think this would be gorgeous with a prom, wedding, or bridesmaid gown and would be happy to make it in other colors if you want.

Mother of Pearl pendant, necklace and earrings set

The pendant is a vintage button I found in my great-grandmother's button box. I embroidered the bezel with Czech and Japanese seed beads and backed it with beige suede. The pendant is approximately 2" in diameter, and the necklace is approximately 22" long, including the sterling toggle clasp. The necklace can be shortened at no extra charge if you would like a choker style--to wear with a wedding gown, perhaps?

This is one of those pieces of jewelry that can dress up or down. It looks great with a black turtleneck and slacks or with a little black dress.

The pearls are Swarovski crystal pearls.

Please note that the colors may vary depending on your screen, but this is a very pretty ivory shade.

I was rooting around in my enormous stash of beads and found these bright green Czech glass beads. Immediately, it hit me that they look like Christmas trees.

The "star" at the top of the "tree" is fire-polished crystal. The silver bead and findings are sterling silver. The trees drop approx. 3/4 inch from the French wires.

This necklace is made of graduated glass beads. The largest bead is 14 mm; the smallest is 5 mm. My guess is that they are Czech, because they are pressed and have that characteristic seam. They are a very pretty brick color with black streaks. The seed beads are white and have a faint purplish marking.

The necklace is exactly as I purchased it, except that I re-strung it on Accuflex in my smoke-free, pet-positive home. The clasp is the clasp that was on it when I bought it.

The necklace is approx. 16 inches (40.6 cm) long.

Soooo retro! The necklace has five strands of glass beads attached to a funky clasp. The hook of the clasp says, "Japan." I originally bought it to take apart and use in one of my designs, but I couldn't bring myself to cut it up. It is strung on cord that is in good condition. If you plan on wearing it a lot, you should probably re-string it on Accuflex. I can do this for you, if you like. Please convo me.

The beads are white, beige, gray, and clear with swirls. The "opal" colored beads look almost like moonstones, but they are glass. The shortest strand is 13 inches (33 cm); the longest strand is approx. 19 inches (48.25 cm) long. There's an extender on the clasp.

The earrings are approx. 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter.

This necklace is my entry for the June Etsy Beadweavers' Challenge. The theme this month is "humor." My entry features a champagne cork cap with a portrait of Madame Clicquot, the widow of the founder of the champagne company now known as Veuve Clicquot ("Widow Clicquot"). She was born Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin and was widowed at age 27. She took over the company and developed techniques for improving champagne production. She died in 1866.

What's funny about that? Nothing. But several years ago, I made myself a similar pendant with seed pearls and a Veuve Clicquot cap. One day, I wore it to work, and my friend Maggie said, "Is that your mother?" It just cracked me up and does every time I wear it--that hairdo!

So for this OOAK version of the pendant, I dolled up Mme. Clicquot with gold and garnet glass seed beads. It reminds me of the miniature portraits royal people wear, so put on your best duds and pretend this is your ancestor. Or wear it with jeans and a turtleneck as I do mine. In any case, this is to enjoy!

The spiral rope is approximately 18 inches (46 cm) long and has s 2-inch (5 cm) extender sterling silver extender chain for flexibility. A Swarovski crystal dangles from the chain. The pendant is about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm); the backing is suede.

This necklace is my entry in the January/February Etsy Beadweavers' Team Challenge.

The theme for this challenge was Tropical Holiday. My favorite tropical holiday place is South Florida, where I can visit my mom and walk on the beach. I love to gather shells. When I found this bead mix at a BeadFest, it reminded me of the sand and the purplish shells I find at Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. So I dug out one of my vintage mother of pearl buttons and added little "rocks and sticks," represented by the darker beads and the bugle beads. There are also teeny, tiny Japanese glass pearls in size 15 around the bezel.

The pendant is approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). The spriral rope is approximately 22 inches (55.8 cm), including a 3-inch (7.6 cm) sterling silver extender chain, so you can wear it with a turtleneck sweather while you are dreaming of the beach.

The backing is suede. The peyote stich bezel and spiral rope are stitched with Fireline.

At the end of the extender chain is a sterling silver peace bead with the word "peace" on one side and a peace symbol on the other. The clasp is a sterling silver heart lobster claw, so it's ready to be a Valentine's Day gift.

The necklace will be shipped by priority mail in my embossed gift box with a dragonfly gift tag, carefully packaged in a sturdy shipping box and insured.

I'm not sure what this stone is--maybe a form of jasper? I bought the stone at a bead show, and it wasn't labeled. I would rather admit that I don't know what it is than to mislead someone. I am sure the black chips are onyx.

The cabochon is 40 x 30 mm. I beaded a net around it with Japanese seed beads. I left the back open because it is also beautiful.

The clasp is copper. The necklace measures approx. 23.5" without the pendant. It can be shortened at no extra charge if you like.
