This is a one-of-a-kind flat note card set inspired by the beautiful sea! The images were originally made into stickers and hand cut from Dennis C. Benson's vintage book "Recycle Catalogue"; (published by Abingdon Press in 1975). Each image is embellished with a plastic goggle eye which makes each card come to life. The four cards are made from one strip of black 90 lb Stonehenge paper perforated for your pleasure! LOL. Easy to fold and tear at perforation and fun to do too! A hand bordered high quality waterproof and smudge-proof blank label is adhered to the other side of each card for your hand written note. And wait there is more! Four hand lined envelopes each with a sea shell sticker embellishment and 4 hand cut matching envelope seals are also included!

Rail and Road Birds Sweet Tweet Cards

Meet the train hopping hobos, Rail & Road Runner birds! A couple of one-of-a-kind Sweet Tweet greeting cards. Frame the cards and give to your favorite bird lover!

Inspired by ephemera and obsessed with stickers, the birds were first hand cut from the 1948 volumes of THE AMERICAN EDUCATOR ENCYCLOPEDIA (published by The United Educators, Inc.; Chicago, 1948) and backed with industrial cellophane adhesive. Neurotic about details, I carefully cut out the name of the bird and adhered this to the bird image then re-cut & trimmed the bird itself. Using an 'older than me' Singer sewing machine, I zig-zag stitched a piece of black, fine-art paper to the front of the card. Next, the collaged bird is centered & permanently stuck to the card.(I ♥ STICKERS) Using a pointed nib pen and black, waterproof Sumi ink, I hand lettered the name of the bird and added my signature calligraphic flourishes. Each card is unique and an original and will probably never be made again! (unless I happen to come across the same encyclopedia set!)

THE DETAILS
♥ one-inch round mylar covered button zipper pull
♥ measures approx. 2 inches with the lanyard
♥ I selectively hand-punched the "Reel-to-Reel Audio Tape Recorder" image from The Golden Book Illustrated Dictionary Set, pub. in 1961 by Golden Press
♥ individually illustrated "zipper" packaging which makes this zipper pull a fun and unique gift! all packaged in a resealable cellophane bag.

Convenience is a must!!!
All the zipper pulls in my shop are WASHER/DRYER SAFE!!!
FIVE WEEK TEST RESULTS (plus a few more weeks)
I personally hand-tested one of my zipper pulls. I attached to the zipper of my zipper sweatshirt. During the course of 5 weeks,the sweatshirt and zipper pull were subjected to 5 washer/dryer cycles and there is no sign of wear or tear to the zipper pull!

Frankie Frigate Bird Sweet Tweet Card

Meet Frankie Frigate! One of the newest additions to my line of one-of-a-kind hand sewn paper Sweet Tweet Greeting Cards!

Inspired by ephemera and obsessed with stickers, the birds were first hand cut from the 1948 volumes of THE AMERICAN EDUCATOR ENCYCLOPEDIA (published by The United Educators, Inc.; Chicago, 1948) and backed with industrial cellophane adhesive. Neurotic about details, I carefully cut out the name of the bird and adhered this to the bird image then re-cut & trimmed the bird itself. Using an 'older than me' Singer sewing machine, I zig-zag stitched a piece of deckle-edged jet-black fine art paper to the front of the card. Next the little collaged bird is centered and permanently stuck to the card. (I ♥ STICKERS) Using a pointed nib pen and black waterproof Sumi ink, I hand lettered the name of the bird and added my signature calligraphic flourishes. Each card is unique and an original and will probably never be made again (unless of course I happen to come across the same encyclopedia set)!
