i've bent wire into the shape of an angel- the body is sterling silver and the wings are copper. once completed, it's then tumbled for strength and shine. a jump ring on top attaches it to the sterling silver chain.

the angels are about 1” tall (see photo for scale)
chains are available in 16-18” lengths. please let me know what length you prefer, or i will send an 18".

also available in all sterling.

Rounded Swing -sterling silver hoops, 18ga 1 inch plus

here's a cool new shape! kind of tringle shaped, but rounded at the bottom. with the narrower top section, they are more likely to stay in the proper orientation. made with 18ga sterling silver wire, once shaped, the wire ends are filed, and they are tumbled for strength and shine.

these are about 3/8" (8mm) across the top (through your ear), just over 1" tall (26mm) and about 3/4" (19mm) at the widest point.

of note: the 18ga size wire gives it extra strength, but is a larger diameter wire than “regular” commercial ear wires and hoops. if you have sensitive ears or smaller holes, you can request the same shape out of 20ga wire- just mention it in the MESSAGE TO SELLER upon checkout.

a boodle of sterling silver rings were soldered, hammered and filed to make this bubbly bracelet. each bubble link is about 0.25” (6mm) long and the total length is 7.5".

this bracelet is adjustable as the VQ swirly clasp can be hooked on any link. need it longer?? i can add more links (up to 1") at no additonal charge. for smaller wrists, i can remove “extra” links, or you can take it as is and hook it where you need and let the rest dangle. a lobster clasp can also be substituted for the hand bent clasp. just let me know in the Message to Seller upon checkout.

here's another option for the look of multiples, but it's really just one bangle.

four 16ga sterling silver bangles were made individually, but were soldered interlinked as a "set." so they slip on all together, but will move individually and "clink" on your wrist.

this bangle is just over 2 1/2" diameter, but i can make yours whatever size you need. just let me know in the Etsy Message To Seller at checkout (not Paypal, please)

To find out your bangle size, make a fist and measure between the highest points of your first (index) and fourth (pinky) knuckles. these are a longer (bigger caliber) version of my original "Silver Bullets" seen here:

hand bent from 18ga sterling wire, they are just over 1 1/2" (45mm) tall and 3/4" (18mm) wide at the top. bent into shape, wire ends filed for no sharp edges, and tumbled for hours for strength and shine.

the last photo shows the 357 magnum and the 30-06 versions together. you will receive two (2) "357 magnum" sized bullets..

these little swirls are hand bent (no jigs in my shop) into this shape reminding me of a "baby phat cat", hence the PHAT name..

the swirls are hammered flat, then tumbled for hardness and shine and hung on my own VQ earwires

loops are about 5/8" wide and hang down about 1 3/4" to bottom of swirl. due to the handmade nature of these earrings, yours may vary slightly from those shown.

this "text box" shape was hand cut (by me) out of 22ga silver sheet, then filed to smooth the edges. the words ANGEL and DEVIL were added to the front and back. it was then colored ("oxidized") and added to a commercial sterling chain that closes with a VQ-swirly silver clasp(let me know if you prefer a lobster clasp) and has a VQ signature dome.

the text box itself is 13/16" (21mm) wide and just under 1/4" (6mm) tall. chain length is currently 16" but can be changed upon request (up to 20" for no additional charge.)

the chain is not currently colored, but can be upon request. let me know in MESSAGE to SELLER at checkout.

these are my newest version of an old favorite- hearts!

i hand bent sterling silver wire into hearts (with a Twist!), solder at the bottom, and add a jump ring at the top. after filling then tumbling for hardness and shine, they're hung on handmade VQ earwires.

the heart portion are about 1" tall and 1 3/4" from the top of the earwire to bottom of heart. yours will look alot like the ones pictured, but will vary slightly as they are handmade. yours will be made to order.

these square links are made by wrapping sterling silver wire around a square-ended chopstick and then sawing the links individually. each is then soldered closed, filed and hammered then connected with more soldered jump rings. (all links are made by me and soldered closed.) bracelet closes with a hand-bent square VQ-swirly clasp.

the square links are approximately 5/16" (7mm) to 3/8" (9mm) on a side. finished length is about 7.5". since you clasp onto the squares, easily adjusts down in size. can be sized up upon request.

Day-Glo Pink with dots - dichroic glass in sterling silver pendant

a bright fuchsia-pink dichroic cabochon was set in sterling silver and is accented by three silver dots on the side and a copper dot at the top of the bail. the piece has been oxidized. all metal work on this piece was constructed by me. (the cabochon was purchased.)

pendant is about 1 1/4" (32mm) tall and about 5/8" (16mm) wide and comes to you on a 18" sterling ball chain. please CONVO me if you’d like a different length or chain type. several options are available, but some may cost more.

NOTE: there is a slight gap between the bezel and the backing to the piece, as seen in the last picture (left hand side of pendant, near top). it will not affect the wear or use of pendant, but it is an imperfection that i wanted to mention. therefore, price is reduced from "if perfect price" of $90.

Concentric Circles- copper and sterling pendant necklace

being a tad compulsive, it's always bothered me that when you have two circles of different sizes hanging from one jump ring, one of the circles is always IN FRONT of the other..

so i engineered this pendant/necklace to keep the circles CONCENTRIC.. ta da!!!!! constructed from copper and sterling silver wire.. :o)

the bigger copper circle is about 7/8" around and has a total hanging length of 1-1/8” from the sterling silver jump rings.

Coral Swing - coral, turquoise and onyx necklace in sterling silver

bamboo coral slices are strung between turquoise disks on silver wire. the "swing" is connected to an oxidized sterling silver chain and closes with a hand-bent VQ swirly clasp. turquoise tube and an onyx cube dangle off the side of the "swing."

the width of the "swing" section is about 1.5" (38mm) and the coral pieces are about 5/8" (16mm) in diameter. for reference, the links in the chain are approx 3mm. your necklace will be made to order, so the pieces of coral will be similar to those shown. the finished length of the necklace is up to you- 16" to 20". tell me in the NOTES TO SELLER during checkout. if no length is specified, i will send 17".

i am REALLY excited about this new bangle!!

this is made from one "strand" of sterling silver AND gold filled wire wrapped four times around in a continuous loop. the ends of the 2 pieces were soldered together, then i hammered the entire length of the wire until the desired size was achieved. i really like how it looks like more than one bangle, but is only one!

Simple Circles in Sterling and Gold-filled

this bracelet is constructed using jump rings of sterling silver and gold-filled wire that are made by me. the silver loops are of round wire while the gold-filled are half-round wire. each loop is soldered and meticulously filed to give seamless joints, providing a smooth feel on the wrist and no snags on clothing. the swirling clasp, also handmade by me, is also soldered. the silver links are 18 gauge wire with 1/4" inside diameter and about 3/8" outside diameter(wide).

these square hoops are made using 20ga sterling silver wire, then the bottom is hammered flat and texture added. to fully capture the texture, i color the hammered part of the hoops before tumbling for hardness and shine. and i file the ends so there are no sharp corners. yours will look similar to these, being handmade and all..

20ga wire was bent round and round and round itself and then the loop-de-loop for the hoop..
lightly hammered for strength and texture, then tumbled for shine.

loops are about 1/2" (15mm) around and hang down about 3/4" (19mm) from earhole to bottom of swirl

due to the handmade nature of these earrings, the loops may vary from those shown. subtle differences are seen in comparing the first and last photos.

these earrings are composed of handmade (by me) jump rings and earwires.

each "bubble" was made from a large coil of wire: wrapped, cut, soldered, filed, hammered and polished - before being added to the 20ga earwires. then they were tumbled for hardness and shine.

super light weight and slightly jingley, the bubbles hang about 2" (5cm) down from the top of the earwire.. they are also available in a 3- ring version upon request (or longer!)

Spring is in the air and the flowers are beginning to show themselves..

this pendant was made by hand-bending (no jigs in my shop) the flower shape, hammering it to flatten a bit, and then soldering it to the sterling backing. the word BLOOM was stamped on the front. ("VQ" and "sterling" are on the back.) the piece was colored and then sanded/polished to remove most of the black, leaving it outlining the wire flower and in the letters.

the pendant is 3/4" (18mm) wide and 1 5/8" (42mm) tall and hangs from 2 soldered jump rings on a sterling chain.

the picture with the pendant on the grass paper shows it with more coloring/black than the other pictures. if you want it to be darker like that, please tell me in MESSAGE TO SELLER upon checkout, or it will be sent as seen in the colored background photos.

the chain shown is 18” length. due to the open links, it is adjustable to smaller lengths. if you'd like a different chain style or length, let me know in the MESSAGE TO SELLER.

peace dove- medium sterling silver wire

a friend of mine asked me to make a dove for him. it was to be his 1st anniversary present to his wife. :o)
i came up with this design and i'm quite pleased.

made from 20ga sterling silver wire and a couple pairs of pliers, i bent it into shape and soldered it closed. after filing, i hammered it lightly for texture and tumbled for strength and shine.

this is the (slightly) larger of two i made- it is 1 1/8" 29mm) wide and hangs just over 1" (28m) from the chain. comes to you on a 18” box chain, as shown. please CONVO me if you’d like a different length or chain type. several options are available, but some may cost a bit more.

each of the 20 links on this necklace looks like a bean. or maybe an amoeba, but "full of amoebas" didn't sound as good as "full of beans"..

so, for this piece i wound up my 18ga wire into a coil, cut the rings, and soldered and filed them. each link was then shaped into its own bean/amoeba shape and hammered for strength and texture. the same was done for the hand-bent clasp.

each of the links is about 1” and total length on this is just over 20”. due to the open nature of the links, you can clasp it at any desired length.

Swing - sterling silver hoops

here's a new shape! kind of rectangular, but narrower at the top. this shape keeps them in the proper position. made with 18ga sterling silver wire, once shaped, the wire ends are filed, the bottom "seat" is hammered for dimension, and they are tumbled for strength and shine.

these are about 1/2" (13mm) across the top (through your ear), ~1.25" tall (~32mm) and about 3/4" (19mm) across the bottom.

of note: the 18ga size wire gives it extra strength, but is a larger diameter wire than “regular” commercial ear wires and hoops. if you have sensitive ears or smaller holes, you can request the same shape out of 20ga wire- just mention it in the MESSAGE TO SELLER upon checkout.

hand bent from 18ga sterling wire, these are just about 2 1/8" (54mm) tall and 5/8" (18mm) wide at the top. bent into shape, wire ends filed for no sharp edges, and tumbled for hours for strength and shine.

the last photo shows the 30-06 and the 357 magnum versions together. you will receive two (2) "30-06" sized bullets..

of note: the 18ga size wire gives it extra strength, but is a larger diameter wire than “regular” commercial ear wires and hoops. if you have sensitive ears or smaller holes, these make take some getting used to.

the center of this necklace showcases 5 large brilliant Caribbean blue chalcedony nuggets and a faceted quartz crystal nugget. in between them are more faceted chalcedony and Bali beads.

the beads are strung on Beadalon (49) and attached to 14” of heavy sterling chain that closes with a large lobster clasp. total length is 22” but, due to the nature of the chain, the clasp can be attached at any desired length, leaving how you wear this necklace entirely up to you. this is a one-of-a-kind piece.

this listing is for FOUR oh so precious bookmarks. using 20ga copper wire, i bend them into shape (into a heart or doodle) and then flatten them in a rolling mill. then i tumble them for hardness and shine.

the flattening process reduces the thickness of the wire so it won't harm your book pages and also stiffens them up so they keep their shape. Hearts are about 1” wide by 1 1/4” tall and Doodles are about 3/4” wide and 1 1/2” tall (but they vary..)

20ga wire was bent round and round and round itself and then the loop-de-loop for the hoop..
lightly hammered for strength and texture, then tumbled for shine.

loops are about 1/2" (15mm) around and hang down about 3/4" (19mm) from earhole to bottom of swirl

due to the handmade nature of these earrings, the loops may vary from those shown. subtle differences are seen in comparing the first and last photos.

i LOVE these earrings- very light with lots of movement.
two concentric circles dangle from a soldered oval jump ring. the outer circle is made from 14kt 1/20 gold-filled wire and is about 3/4" (18mm) in diameter. the center circle is twisted sterling silver wire and is about 1/2" (14mm) in diameter. earwire and jump ring are sterling. you can see how the GF circle rests atop the twisted wire at a 90deg angle.. soooo cool!!

all components, as well as the design, were made by me. these are "born" shiny, but could be oxidized upon request. let me know your preference!

Mark Your Path

A cairn is a manmade pile of stones, often in a conical form. They are built for several purposes:
· They may mark a burial site, and may memorialize the dead.
· They may mark the summit of a mountain.
· Placed at regular intervals, they indicate a path across stony or barren terrain or across glaciers.
· They may be used to commemorate events: anything from a battle site, to the place where a cart tipped over.

to me, it would be a reminder to leave a mark that others can follow, as in setting an example.
or maybe it could commemorate a special trip.. (like my friends going 'round the world right now..)

these four stones were collected by me here in ventura. i've drilled through each and stacked them on a sterling wire. small hand cut silver disks are on top and bottom.

all four stones are a similar shade of brownish grey. the stones will get darker from the oil in your skin as you wear it, which i think enhances them. the cairn stack is 1" tall (from top of loop) and just over 5/8" wide and is about 1/2" deep. it hangs from an 18" sterling box chain. you can change the length to either 16" or 20" with no additional cost. you can also upgrade the chain to a different type. please convo me for options and pricing.

this pendant features 2 David Christensen slices and a Glasscapes bead in between all stacked vertically on 18ga sterling wire. it has a sweet triangular swirly bottom/base that has been lighlty hammered.

colors/shapes of the furnace glass include (top to bottom): lavender and white/round; cobalt core with red stripes /triangle bead; and light green core with lavender stripes.

this listing is for ONE TAG ON A STERLING CHAIN. these tags are all hand cut by me, individually, out of sterling silver sheet, based on the length of your dog's name. they are all at least 1/4" (6mm) wide but the length will vary. the tags shown are stamped with my smallest font which is 1/16" tall. for relative size, the "CODY" tag is 5/8" long and the "COPPER" tag is 3/4" long. i can also use a 3/32" font which will run a couple dollars more as it needs a bigger tag. let me know if you are interested.

14ky gold twisty ring- SECONDS

in making these rings i used two pieces of 20ga wire and twisted them together. then i cut them to size and soldered the ends. upon hammering, i found that some of the solder had crept down the twist too far. oops..

so, this listing is for ONE of the three shown rings that are not quite up to my standards.
each of the rings is about 2mm wide and 1mm thick.

A: size 6.25, "just twisted"

B: size 6.5, "hammered & antiqued"

C: size 9.5, "just hammered"

rings A and B can be up-sized a bit (maybe 1-2 sizes) by hammering (which would make "A" "just hammered"). i don't recommend hammering ring C any more.

this teeny tiny bead pendant is SO cute!! i've accented a blue with yellow dot lampwork "bumpy" bead with silver heishi and a frosted black glass seed bead. it hangs on handmade (by me) sterling silver sprout headpin on a commercial chain with handmade VQ findings (clasp and loop).

the pendant is about 0.75" (18mm) and the delicate long oval chain is 16" (42cm). this chain can be lengthened up to 20" upon request. a "heavier" chain of the same style can be substituted (up to 20") for an additional $2.50. (please convo me if you'd like the different chain so i can adjust the price.)

lampwork bead from paulinabeads.etsy.com is 5mm(hole to hole) x 7-8mm (diameter). the last photo shows a similar bead next to a US dime for size.

to make this heart, i bend sterling silver wire into the heart shape, then solder the point closed (and file and polish).. i don't like how "loose" heart charms will spin around on the chain and end up hanging upside down (point UP). to keep my heart hanging with the point down, i've added an oval (soldered) jump ring that goes through the loop in the center of the heart, which also acts as the bail for the chain.

i love the simplicity.

the pictured heart is about 7/8" long. your heart will be made to order. if you'd like a slightly larger or smaller heart size, please TELL ME in the Message To Seller when you check out.

for this beauty, i've combined larger copper ovals and circles and smaller sterling links to connect them. all rings and pieces were made by me in my studio.
all links are soldered closed for strength and security. the copper "dots" and "dashes" were hammered for texture, then the whole piece was tumbled for hardness and shine.

the "dash" segments are about 7/8" (22mm) long and the center "dot" is about 5/8" (17mm) wide. the bracelet is 7.25" (almost 19cm) long and fits an "average" wrist. let me know if you need it sized up (which MAY increase price slightly).

these square shapes are about as simple as you can get with corner.
hand bent from 18ga sterling wire, they are just under 3/4" (18mm) on a side. bent into shape, wire ends filed for no sharp edges, and tumbled for hours for strength and shine.

of note: the 18ga size wire gives it extra strength, but is a larger diameter wire than “regular” commercial ear wires and hoops. if you have sensitive ears or smaller holes, you can request the same shape out of 20ga wire- just mention it in the MESSAGE TO SELLER upon checkout.

as a working (as in “day job”) mom, i feel like i’m always juggling all that i have to do- the day job, the kids and family job, and the jewelry (night) job.. kinda like the ringmaster in a 3-ring circus. wearing this necklace makes it all alright for a little bit.. :o)

3 gold-filled rings are just under 3/4” diameter (11/16” to be exact). soldered, filed then hammered, they hang from segments of long and short chain. the 2 outside rings hang down 1.5” and the middle is 1.75” (from chain to bottom of ring). the necklace is a 16” rollo chain, but there’s a 2” extension chain with a ruby dangling on the end. closes with a lobster clasp.

this necklace combines the elegance of gold-filled with clean and crisp sterling silver. Sections of the Byzantine weave in gold-filled wire are connected by soldered sterling ovals and smaller square-wire jump rings. I love the contrast of the silver and gold together and the textures of the varied links. :o)

the necklace closes with a hand-bent wire heart clasp that is pretty enough to be featured on the side of the necklace, rather than hidden behind you neck. the heart was made “free-hand”, i.e., without the use of a “jig”, and hammered slightly to add strength. the finished length is adjustable from 16” to 18” with the use of more of the sterling ovals as an extension. this chain CAN BE MADE longer.. please convo me to discuss options.

all my chains start from coiled wire. i, personally, made each of these jump rings (wound and cut), then connected them, soldered and filed (the ovals), AND made the heart clasp. whew!

this one features 3 David Christensen slices stacked vertically on 18ga sterling wire. it's capped with a Glasscapes bead and has a sweet swirly bottom/base.

multi-colored round beads: white core with black stripes, purple cire with lite blue stripes, lite blue with black and red stripes, and a 2nd purple with blue stripes.

Bookmark- copper wire Heart or Doodle

this listing is for ONE oh so precious bookmark. using 20ga copper wire, i bend them into shape (into a heart or doodle) and then flatten them in a rolling mill. then i tumble them for hardness and shine.

the flattening process reduces the thickness of the wire so it won't harm your book pages and also stiffens them up so they keep their shape. Hearts are about 1” wide by 1 1/4” tall and Doodles are about 3/4” wide and 1 1/2” tall (but they vary..)
