This is a traditional "log cabin" quilt done in homespun fabrics of reds and greens with a cream colored cotton backing. It is hand quilted by me and finished off with a cream and red piping. This quilt has a real antique,country look.

It measures 76" by 68" or twin size. It can also be used as a full sized coverlet.

The Shed in The Wood Quilted Wall Hanging

The little quilt was inspired by my neighbor's shed. They have been remodeling their house, but the shed is still original and has so much character that I hope they never replace it. It sits next to a cute little pond where a pair of ducks make their home every summer.

This quilt measures 34" by 28 1/2" and is done in greens and beiges. It is heavily machine quilted by me. THe back is a green leaf print that is carried around to the binding. This is a raw edge quilt which means that the edges are left unfinished on the trees and other elements which gives it a more natural look.

Gardening is one of my favorite pastimes after quilting, so I had to finally design a quilt that highlights both of my loves. This iris quilt is machine appliqued flowers and dragonflies on a blue background. The basket blocks in the center are pieced with appliqued flowers also. Each iris design is slightly different(none of them are the same in the real garden) and are machine quilted to make them stand out from he background. There is an echo quilted pattern of dragonflies in the plain blue sections of the center.
All the quilting is done by professional quilter Arlene Calabrese of Sunflower Quilting.

The back has a pieced stripe of the the same iris fabric. I will add a hanging strip before shipping.

This quilt measures 55 1/2" square.

This eye popping quilt was paper pieced. Each little strip is only 3/4" wide at the widest point and tapering to a sharp point. The oranges,reds,pink,yellows,blues,turquoises and greens are done in sprays of six hues of each color on a black background.

Machine quilter, Arlene Calabrese did a fun scallop design on each spiral that look like little feet. Fun!! The quilting is done in black. This quilt measures 53" from point to point and 46" high in a hexigon shape.

This is the third in my seasonal quilts and is definitely the most colorful. This is Fall in all her splendid colors. It is a raw edge, machine quilted wall hanging. Every element is individually hand cut and appliqued then machine quilted.

This quilt measures 46" by 42 1/2". The backing is a green on green leaf print and the binding is a two toned green stripe.

The main quilt is shades of orange, yellow and green over black, gray and birch trees against a pale blue sky.

This raw edge machine quilted wall hanging is 48" wide x 36 1/2" high. It is layered with "fussy cut" piecing. Each leaf and tree is individually cut and sewn. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this quilt. When you stand in front of it you feel as if you are looking out the window into the woods outside. It brings a sense of calm.

This quilt took months of searching for the right fabrics and hand cutting and designing. It took me longer to finish than a full sized bed quilt. I'm now working on "Winter" and hope to have it finished a few weeks. "Spring" is in my private collection. I just couldn't part with it. It was my first raw edge quilt and has too much emotional attachment for me to be able to part with it."Fall" is also in the works and hopefully will be done soon.

All my quilts are made of high quality 100% cotton. The raw edge quilts are not machine washable as the delicate edges would fray. A light vacuuming with a muslin overlay is recommended.

I decided to add some new items to my shop for the Holidays. This was so much fun to design! This little hat is a size 12/18 months. THe brim is two tones of pretty pink and the lining is the lighter pink. I have added ear flaps that close with velcro in a pretty green. The whole hat is fleece for a warmth and is so soft to cradle your baby's head. I added leaves and a stem that match the ear flaps. I then used a blanket stitch around each leaf.

Batiks are a passion with me so I decided to do a wall hanging with some of my favorites. This one is a collection of deep blues and greens mixed with bright yellow and orange. It reminds me of a sunrise.

This quilt was machine quilted by award winning Arlene Calabrese of Sunflower Quilting. She did a large allover design in orange thread that looks great with the design of the quilt.

This is a different shape maple leaf than my other leaves. I have used a pretty green and blue batik print for this leaf to give a fun difference.
