I realized that I had not offered much insight as to the inspiration of this beautiful painting.
Before the creation of "Picasso's Moon", I had created a silk painting and named it " Picasso's Sun."
It was offered for sale in an invitational art show, and it sold within the 1st hour of the show's opening.
I received twenty phone calls asking if I would do another "Picasso's" painting. And, that brought forth the birth of "Picasso's Moon"

I love Albert, he's my man and this silk painting is a mere attempt at capturing the abstract complex thinking of Albert Einstein. It consists of symbols: hexagongs, squares,circles, and various images that appear four dimensional.French dyes were placed in the various shapes giving the painting a brilliant luster.

Here it is the ultimate when you think of silk--Silk Satin 12mm. She has a beautiful drape and flow, along with a lustrous and luxurious shine.

I stretched this silk out and after pinning her down to a wooden frame, I covered her with the lovely bright French dyes of citron, then I drizzled apricot down her middle to create the contrast and design.

And when she was finished Stevie Wonder's song
" Isn't She Lovely' kept playing in my mind--seemed to describe this scarf to a tee--:) And then for some reason Oprah came to my mind--and I added the Oprah Effect into my title, because I could just seeing her wearing this very lovely designer scarf--:)

OH, and believe it or not some folks will use these silk beauties as a table runner.

Wash in lukewarm water with a dash of Woolight--then rinse in cool water( some residual dye will rinse out), then press with a silk setting on iron. I always use a clean cotton cloth over the silk before I iron them.

This is a top of the line silk, silk satin 12mm. The scarf moves with a beautiful drape and flow. And after I applied the French dyes of citron, viridian green to mimic jungle grass, I added circles of brown leopard spots with a dab of apricot in the middle of the spots, and the only thing missing was that low velvet soft growl.
This scarf is both lustrous and luxurious, and would top off any business suit.

"Shawnee River" was inspired by a river that flows through the southern part of Ohio. It is near the old camping grounds of the Native American Shawnee Tribe. The evening I was there, the river area was so quiet, and yet filled with the spirits of the Shawnee Indian. The sun's setting rays slipped easily through the naked trees that fall had stripped of their summer leaves, and then touched the river's waters with their orange and golden colors.

Beautiful hand-painted on silk, a Monarch butterfly emerging from cocoon. The tree limb while wet with brown dye, had leaves placed on it, then laid out into the sun. The sun's rays then created an outline of that leaf on the limb!

On Oct 26, 1974 I had the extreme pleasure of attending opening night at the Cleveland Coliseum honor done by Ole Blue Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra.
I had to have the commemorative coin, too.

That night was magical. I brought my opera glasses which kept fogging up, as I watched that man, and listened to him croon for over an hour.

Well now it's time to let it go.

Measures 2 inches wide. deep engraving to display Frank's wonderful face, and the cloiseum on the back.
