The pendent is another version of my Were the grass meets the sky enamel blend. This is a take off one of my favorite sayings, "Bloom were you are Planted". Very good saying for the grass is always greener crowd!! The background charm is my custom blends graduating from a field of greens thru shades of turquoise/sky blue with white clouds. Numerous firings are needed to produce this shading and layers of color. The potted flower charm is sterling silver..handing above the enameled piece. It comes on a 16" (let me know of you prefer 18")

Each leaf is hand formed and shaped. They are then painstakingly enameled on both side in a kiln. Powdered glass is layers in various colors and fired to 1425 degrees. The leaves are then assembled with sterling silver and teeny tiny gemstones: grossular garnet, peridot, citrine and sapphire. Need I say they are my new favorite??

The cups are then treated so that they have a matte finish. I made the cups or flowers out of a thinner gauge copper so they are still lightweight. They are assembled using sterling silver which has been oxidized for a better contrast with the enamel.

Strips of copper are formed- This is called anti-clastic forming. That is when a concave curved is formed then that curve is curved. All hand shaped by myself, blisters on my hand to prove it! They are still lightweight considering the width and stay in place. This pair is one of my custom blends called Old Ivory. Numerous shades of Ivory, white and hazel are layered to produce this color. This is the a longer version of my cluster cup earrings. Hand formed "cups" or flowers of copper. Then enamel is added and fired. This red is a blend of 5 different shades of red enamel. Layered and re-fired numerous times to add depth. I made the cups or flowers out of a thinner gauge copper so they are still lightweight. They are assembled using tiny Garnets and sterling silver which has been oxidized for a better contrast with the enamel. Prefer a matte finish to the enamel?...let me know.

A bit under 1" disk of copper enameled in multiple colors of blues and greens. The disks are suspended from Sterling silver jump ring, accented by a pearl. I used a thinner gauge copper on these so they would not be heavy, Before enameling the disks were textured to add to the depth and water like feel. Acid Etched Copper Kiln Fired Enamel Necklace

This pendent was created using a multi step process. First I had to create the artwork and digitally manipulate it on the computer.
Then the image is put onto the copper using an acid resistant medium. The copper is then placed in a bath of Ferric Chloride and left for it to do its work. After etching the disks are cut out and shaped. The in a separate process I enamel the disks. I brushed back the enamel off the raised portions revealing the detail of the etching. The piece is then fired in the kiln at 1425 degrees.
I clean touches of the fire scale of the raised portion so natural copper emerges. Copper naturally darkens so to maintain this you can gently clean. The enameled portion will stay as it is.
Total drop: Disk measures approx 1"

Etched Copper and Silver Pendant

This pendant was created using a multi-step process. First I had to create the artwork and digitally manipulate it on the computer.
Then the image is put onto the copper using an acid resistant medium. The copper is then placed in a bath of Ferric Chloride and left for it to do its work. After etching the disks are cut out and shaped. I then soldered the copper piece to a fine silver ring. It hangs from handcrafted sterling silver ring. The have been oxidized and hand rubbed back. Copper tarnishes fast so to prevent this the copper is waxed with a VERY strong metal wax. It is best not to wear them in the shower, on the beach or in a pool. They will be ok with normal wear. Pattern may vary slightly.
Disk size: 1-1/8"

Does not include neck cord. If you would like a rubber cord let me know. $5 extra 16 or 18". Matching earring available too.

I do not know why but I have been collecting Initial charms for YEARS. So naturally when I started to make jewelry I had to make one for myself. Now you can have one too.
Choose your Initial and Chain length. Sterling silver charm is hand embossed with an overall background design (may vary from picture). Copper charm is embossed with your initial of choice then hand riveted with sterling silver rivets. All on a Sterling Silver ball chain and clasp OR Greek leather cord. The necklace is then patinated and buffed to a rich glow.

I am thrilled to introduce my first foray into bangle-land!! Strips of copper are formed- This is called anti-clastic forming. That is when a concave curved is formed then that curve is curved. All hand shaped by myself, blisters on my hand to prove it! I made this of heavier than usual copper and it is riveted for strength. It is very important not to bang or twist enameled items. Since enamel is glass fired onto metal. This bangle is one of my custom blends called Chameleon. Numerous shades of green and others are shaded and layered to produce this color.

This is a BIG bangle. I have a large boned wrist and made it to fit me. BUT I can make it any size. The "normal" average size for a bangle is 2-1/2" in diameter. Hand formed "cups" or flowers of copper. Then enamel is added and fired. The color is first sated with a beige/Tan then several shades of greens are used to produce this color blend. Each cup is assembled with a tiny Grossular Garnet in my favorite mossy tone. I made the cups/flowers out of a thinner gauge copper so they are still lightweight. They are assembled using sterling silver which has been oxidized for a better contrast with the enamel.
