This little guy was more than happy to sit for his photo. He had been snug as a bug (or waiting for one..^-~) until I wandered along. I was quite surprised to see such a cutie hiding. Oh no, perhaps it was from paparazzi like me?!

Either way I snapped a shot and let him quickly go back to his nap.

Astroturf Summer

A novelty yarn made from some really funky vintage fabric scraps. Well samples really. They were found moping in the fabric bin at goodwill. Lovingly washed and then gleefully shredded and the finished product is above. ^-^

A fun yarn that would make an interesting collage supply or perhaps a reconstructed/de-constructed wreath? I wouldn't suggest a scarf *Though it would be a wild one!* it's a bit scratchy.

Weave it as a part of a rug or a great little front porch pillow. What ever you decide to do with it, I'm sure it will be happy to hang out at your house.

Hand spun and tied tightly where the ends of strips join this is a sturdy *though quite prone to shedding!* little yarn skien of only 16 yards give or take.

*The fabric used to make this yarn is made of a product called Vinyon (PVC) as well as Acrylic. These were samples of fabric that I can only connect with an outdoor furniture company. These are shown in the second photo*

Please note that each personal computer has different color settings so while what I see is the correct colors, you may see something slightly different.

Three Sisters

These trees are along the route to our family's home and I've loved them since I first spotted them. I managed to get some pictures of them this year.

I wanted to make it look like a picture taken years ago and found in the bottom of someones stack of photos. Or perhaps its been stored in an old barn. Maybe even found after a fire. Who knows. I just know I love finding old photos of things and these trees make me think of a simpler time.

*Photo is lighter in person than it may seem on your monitor. I've checked it on several monitors and it is almost always darker. Something about the way the web colors and the colors in the image differ. *

Floral Memories

This Hydrangea has been in my family for years, it was outside my great grandmothers house and has survived a couple of moves. It's not grown hardy since it's last move and will be split to share with family members once more.

It's a plant that extends more than just beautiful blooms, it extends warm memories.

Emerald City

I couldn't help but think of the classic tale of Dorthy and Toto and that great green city when I saw this bead.

Large glass focal bead wrapped in copper wire.

This ring is a size 8.

The bead does move slightly on the wire as it's a loose set, but it will not come off. The ring is one solid piece of coper wire.

This is a one of a kind piece as I do not have another of these beads and can never promise to wrap the exact pattern again.

The ring stands just over an inch off the finger.

This pair is a bit more rocky than the first. They almost remind me of those little pools of water you find on spring mornings in the bottoms of caverns.

Sterling silver wire wrapped wildly around small pink crystal beads and teal glass beads.

Ooak earrings.

2in from top of ear wire to the bottom of the earring and very light weight.

The ear wires themselves are sterling silver kidney style.

The statue pictured here was in rememberance of a flood and features mother earth. The history behind the statue is very interesting on it's own, but the history of this deer has always made me stop.

Wow, that title is so cheesy! Who thought that up?

I love teal, and the windows of one of my favorite hotels to visit are this lovely shade. The paint is old and chipped but still has a quality I adore. Mostly because I love the hotel and the town it's in so much.

I love to wear chunky funky color beaded bracelets. You know the ones that match everything...well just about everything.

This pair features some of the wild glass beads I've come across and tossed into a pile. They are strung on clear stretch cord but can be restrung on bead wire if wanted.

My wrist is 6 1/2 inches around and these hang loosely on my wrist.
