One of the first lily blooms of the season, how glorious and beautiful it is laying there amongst a bed of lily pads.
Simple and elegant, the epitome of spring. To highlight the delicate nature of the lily bloom I carefully removed all the color from the lily pads around it. Nothing is more stunning that this.

For this particular image, I took an image of a very pale pink rose and highlighted the colors to bring out the hidden beauty. I did a little tweaking here, and a little flipping and flopping. I pushed there and pulled over there. After I was done, I sat back and said WOW that is elegant, yet powerful.

This is a beautiful 12" x 18" shot of a Painted Lady Butterfly altered to mostly black and white in photoshop to make this stunning nature scene.

Walking along Coldwater Lake, up towards Mt. St. Helens, butterflies were all around. I noticed this one land softly on a patch of wildflower and dried grass. I softly walked up as close as I dare for fear of scaring it off. When I reviewed the images, it was hard to see, it blended so well into the the scenery. I took the image into photoshop and hightlighted this glorious creature, by removing all the color from around it. No longer does it fade away. It takes front stage where it belongs.

This is a beautiful 8" x 10" shot of a baby duckling running through the lily pads at Lake Sacajawea to make this absolutely adorable nature scene.

Nothing is cuter in life that ducklings. Running trying to catch up with mama and it's siblings this sweet little duckling pauses to play in the water. Flinging water, splashing around, just having a grand time, till it realizes it is being left behind. I was only able to capture a few brief shots before it darted off to rejoin it's mama.
