Ruth is a mixed media art doll. She embodies both the Mother and Crone phases of the Maiden/Mother/Crone cycle, part of the ancient female archetype. You can see in her both the joys and sorrows of raising her family and dedicating her life to caring for others. She possesses both wisdom and quiet strength. She is the symbol of feminine strength, wisdom and maternal love. She is meant to represent the countless generations of women who have borne, raised, supported, guided and ultimately shaped all of our lives.

Ruth has a face and hands made of polymer clay which have then been accented with pastels and colored chalks. Her shawl is hand knitted. Her body is made from pieces of a vintage quilt and accented with hand beadwork. She measures approximately 15 inches high by 7 inches wide. She is stuffed with fiberfill and pellets, which give her the weight to allow her to stand unaided.

I make my art from bits and pieces I have gathered along the path of my life, with liberal doses of humor and vision added for good measure. This piece is one of a kind and you are unlikely to find anything like it elsewhere.

Agatha is a mixed media art doll. She is the guardian of Halloween and is forever on watch to ensure that the merriment, celebration and revelry all fall within her approved behavioral guidelines. Don't worry - her guidelines are pretty open, so as long as you are not harming anyone you should be good to go.

Agatha has a face made of embossed metal that is patinated with inks. Her body is made of foam pipe insulation, covered with a myriad of distressed Halloween themed fabrics. She has abundant and wildly colored hair (her crowning glory), and poseable wire arms wrapped in a variety of fibers. She stands approximately 13 inches high by 4 inches wide.She is weighted with a carriage bolt and some large washers which allow her to stand unaided.

I make my art from bits and pieces I have gathered along the path of my life, with liberal doses of humor and vision added for good measure. This piece is one of a kind and you are unlikely to find anything like it elsewhere.
