The pendant stone in Rings is one of the finest pieces of orbicular ocean jasper we have seen in a long time. The circles are incredible. Look on the right side for a small chunk of drusy crystal. We teamed it with four grassy green Czech glass seed beads strands. The bail is hand wire-wrapped and attached to an engraved bead.

For our asymmetrical look, we hand wire-wrapped an ocean jasper round bead on the left and attached a sterling hammered circle on the right. Our signature dangle from the hammered circle is a kiss of yellowish green faceted Czech glass.

We finished the necklace with various chains and our own handmade hammered sterling silver clasp.

The Whimsey, our signature necklace design, combines multiple strands of seed beads and chain, wire-wrapped asymmetrical accents, hammered silver circles, and the most interesting centerpiece/pendant stones we can find. They are all one-of-a-kind.

We love green, so naturally, chrysophrase has to be one of our favorite stones. We found these small natural slabs and fell in love with them. They are gnarly and bumby and a lovely green.

We wire-wrapped this stone, herringbone style to form a cage around it, in sterling silver wire and organically wrapped the bail. The stone is matched with four light mint Czech glass seed bead strands with two floating freely above the stone with a silver chain.

For our asymmetrical look, the right side holds a perfect cultured freshwater coin pearl wire-wrapped like a small package, and on the left, a hammered circle with our signature swoosh. This time the dangle is pearl.

We finished the necklace with various chains and our own sterling hammered clasp with two pearls at the back of the neck.

This is our newest Whimsey Wrap Bracelet in silver and lime green with lots of interesting stones and colors. We mixed Czech glass seed beads, Czech glass beads, sunstone, red agate, green garnet, chrysophrase, carnelian, swarovski crystal, carnelian nugget, Bali silver beads, and many other silver beads. A mix of silver chains are used to create interesting textures and depth. This feels and looks great on the wrist.

Double Carnelian Pendant...The Whimsey Pendant

These are our favorite lucky wheel faceted carnelian gemstones. They are natural not dyed and if you look closely at our model you can see the flash of the facet rotating from the middle. We double wire wrapped them together and hung the stones from a silver triangle.

The stones hang from silver chains with one side attached to sparkley teal/blue Czech glass seed beads and the other side is finished with rolo chain and a small carnelian rondelle. A small infinity lobster clasp and carnelian rondelle finish the look at the back of your neck.

This is a petite version of our asymmetrical necklaces.

This luscious cultured freshwater coin pearl is meticulously wire wrapped together with a teal Czech glass bead; a truly lovely fusion of lustre and sparkle in one pendant. This stone is so fabulous and reminds us why we love Imperial Jasper so much! The circles are incredible almost like orbicular ocean jasper. Carnelian Sunset...The Whimsey Necklace

This one-of-a-kind stone is a colorful piece of carnelian from Oregon, made custom for us by our local gemologist. This is the second piece of carnelian we've had in this shape and probably the last for awhile, as he has no more. We love this cut because of the way it hugs the neck. This carnelian is a deep red-orange, with a subtle banding pattern that radiates from the center.

We suspended it from silver chain and draped three strands of colorful tealy-turquoise Czech charlotte glass seed beads above. We've heard these seed beads called 'mermaid' beads for their deep color and AB finish; an effect reminiscent of shimmering ocean depths. A bit of delicate sterling chain intermingles with the seed bead strands. The accent stone on the left is our favorite lucky wheel faceted carnelian. From the hammered circle on the right, we hung our signature 'swoosh', this time stacked carnelian faceted rondelles.

We finished the necklace with various chains and our handmade hammered sterling silver clasp with a kiss of carnelian to give the back of your neck a little color.

In this necklace, a peachy, blonde Mookaite pendant hangs from a hammered circle. The pendant is hand wire-wrapped in 28 gauge silver with an organic bail.

Attached to the hammered circle is a strand of beige and darker beige Czech glass seed beads leading to a chain and lobster clasp. There is a silver bead nestled in the seed beads. The pendant stone in Aztec Purple, is a lovely subtle drop of Royal Purple Aztec Agate from Mexico. We teamed it with matching purple faceted Czech glass seed beads. The centerpiece of Ocean Realm is a mauvey/pinky green Ocean Jasper pendant from Madacasgar. The bail is organically wrapped and attached to a hand engraved silver bead. The gemstone is then suspended from several strands of greenish Czech glass seed beads that are attached to two silver hammered circles. One stand of seed beads floats freely above them along with a section of silver box chain to add dimension and depth. Nestled in the seed beads are silver objects of various shapes to add interest.

A silver wire-wrapped round of ocean jasper gives this piece our asymmetrical signature. A small bead of pink fancy jasper hangs from the larger of the hammered circles.

A variety of silver chains are used and connected to each other by multiple jump rings and hammered circles. A large sterling infinity lobster clasp and an ocean jasper bead provide a finish your neck will love.

Green Tourmaline...Asymmetrical Pendant

We took this deep, deep, green luscious tourmaline crystal and wire wrapped it, herringbone style, in fine gold wire. You can see some of the sparkles permeating outward at the bottom of the stone. They flash green and yellowish green.

We hung this gemstone from a hammered gold-filled circle on which we wire wrapped a kiss of green tourmaline.

For our signature asymmetrical look, we attached tiny faceted deep green charlotte seed beads on the right side of the necklace. That side is finished with cable chain and a gold-filled spring ring clasp.

The left side of the necklace is finished with large and small gold-filled rolo chain divided by a brushed gold-filled round bead. The chain is attached to a handmade connector with tiny green seed beads used as accents. An extender with a tiny olive swarovski crystal finishes the left side.

This necklace is petite but very eye catching.

This is Whimseys first malachite necklace. We don't know what took us so long since we love green and orbicular stones, but it did. We hope you like it as much as we do.

We hung the stone from an engraved bead strung with two green sparkly Czech glass seed beads. A silver chain floats freely above a total of four seed bead strands. Nestled in the seed bead strands are a variety of small silver beads and gemstones.

This beautiful blue Australian opal from Queensland is organically hand wire-wrapped and has a little spot of pink on the lower right side. This is a perfect go with everything including denim day.

Oregon Succor Creek Jasper with Tourmaline...The Whimsey Necklace

This gorgeous slice of Oregon Succor Creek Jasper reminds us of the subtle colors of the desert just before dawn. This is the latest in a series of necklaces using gemstones from the Succor Creek region in Oregon, an out-of-the-way, very deep canyon in the southeastern part of the state. It is a beautiful area that contradicts the violent volcanic activity that made all these beautiful and colorful stones.

The pendant is a lovely slice of this Oregon geology and one of the famous picture jaspers from the region. We suspended it from a mix of tourmaline rondelles and light aqua-grey Japanese glass seed beads. For our asymmetrical look, a sterling hammered circle sits opposite a wire wrapped zebra jasper round, above the seed bead strands. Our signature "swoosh" hangs from the hammered circle and is a deep red swarovski crystal. The necklace is finished with several types of sterling chain and our own handmade hammered sterling silver clasp.

Beginning in the dark spot on the left side and continuing in a swath to the right, this buttery colored opal is filled with flashes of green, blue, and purple. I could not capture it and I tried. But it is beautiful. The pendant is an unusual slice of Australian Boulder Opal with tiny sparkles of purple throughout the stone. The bail is organically wrapped and suspended from two strands of grassy green seed beads that match the flash in the stone. An engraved chain and two more seed bead strands float freely above the pendant.

On the right side is a perfect wire-wrapped buttery colored mookaite from Australia. On the left is a sterling hammered circle with our signature 'swoosh', this time a pale violet swarowski crystal. Chalcedony is a stone that radiates its sea green color and personality from its inner depths. Everyone is attracted to it. It is warm and soothing like walking on the beach in the summer. We love it!

This chalcedony teardrop pendant is suspended on a strand of faceted, minty-green Czech charlotte seed beads that give the necklace just the right amount of sparkle. A second strand of seed beads floats freely above, joined by a sterling silver length of chain.

Russian amazonite is a beautiful blue-green stone dappled with white, which gives it nice depth. These lovely discs are faceted with our favorite 'lucky wheel' design - spokes radiating out from a common center - and they catch the light wonderfully as you move.

Whimsey Wires are made of one continuous piece of 20 gauge nickel-free sterling silver wire, which we hammer to add visual interest and strength. The Russian amazonite discs are hand wire-wrapped in 28 gauge fine silver wire, herringbone style.

Whimsey Wires are light and easy to wear. This is our second year with this design, and it's been such a huge hit that they are now the main earring style we offer. We recommend wearing them with the small, clear rubber clutches we provide, just behind the earlobe where they are invisible.

This free form agate from Morocco is not for the faint of heart. It is big, bold, and beautiful. The shade is a neutral burgundy berry combined with white crystal perfect to wear with the fall and winter colors. If you look closely at the stone, you will see all of the crystalline formations as well as swirls of burgundy. The pendant is hand wire-wrapped with an organic sterling silver bail and hangs from a sterling hammered circle.

Attached to the hammered circle are two strands of berry colored Czech glass seed beads ending in long and short silver chain. Opposite is more silver chain surrounding a wire-wrapped mookaite bead that matches the agate perfectly. Long and short silver chain finishes the piece on the right side attached to our a silver lobster infinity clasp.

We have added a two inch extender with a kiss of berry colored jasper at the end. Considering its size this necklace is not heavy. And, you can wear this necklace from either side.

Whimsey Wires are made on one continuous piece of 22 or 20 gauge silver wire, gently rounded in the back. They are made of high quality, nickel-free sterling silver.

We handpick our pearls for quality of nacre and interesting bumps or growth ring circles. We screen out the ones with imperfections although occassionally imperfections can make for an unusual pearl or stone.

These lovely pear shaped pearls have a thick nacre and are creamy white. They are a medium size pearl. They are perfect...so all we did was wire wrap them herringbone style. Very elegant.

The front of the wire is hammered for visual interest and a touch of sparkle.

Whimsey Wires are light and easy to wear. We recommend wearing them with small, clear rubber clutches we provide. The clutches fit right behind your ear lobe so they are invisible.

This is finished with four lovely types of sterling silver chain. At the back we added a sterling spring ring clasp and several small pearls on an extender to pretty up the back of your neck.

The pendant, in Circles, is Madacasgar Ocean Jasper with everything you would want in an ocean jasper stone. There are circles, dots, and interesting crystal formations throught the stone including on the bottom at the 'V'. Sage Green runs through the stone, and see if you can find the one blue dot. Ocean Jasper is becoming rare because the mine has been closed.

We organically wrapped the bail and we suspended this lovely stone from multiple stands of faceted sage green charlotte Czech seed beads. As with all of our Whimseys, the front chain floats freely and adds visual interest. This one sports four different types of chain so be sure and take a close look. Matching ocean jasper accent stones are worked in asymmetrically. On the left is a perfect champagne pearl wire-wrapped herringbone style, for our asymmetrical touch.

Our signature swoosh dangles from the left silver hammered circle. This time it is a diamond shape piece of champagne Czech glass.

This is really a beautiful piece - very neutral but eye catching, and looks good with everything.

Finished with a large sterling silver infinity lobster clasp and a kiss of white crystal.

Eternity combines two perfect sage green cultured freshwater pearls wire wrapped together herringbone style. The centerpiece of 'My Heart...' is a piece of Owyhee jasper, creamy browns with a swoosh of adobe red across the center. This piece is from the high deserts of eastern Oregon. It is a complex piece with lots going on. The gemstone is suspended from a strand of adobe seed beads and gold-filled cable chain. Two gold-filled rondelles hug each side of the stone. Two strands of adobe seed beads float freely above the stone and are connected to a gold-filled circle and a round of hand wire-wrapped mookaite that matches the Owyhee perfectly. Nestled in the seed beads are gold-filled beads and a small piece of sage green seed bead reminiscent of the color of sage brush.

A gold-filled wire-wrapped round of mookaite helps to give this piece our asymmetrical signature. Leading away from the mookaite are two types of gold-filled chain, finished on the right with a large gold-filled sport ring clasp.

On the left, leading away from the circle, is a figure eight connector attached to two gold-filled curved tubes. The tubes are attached to three carnelian rondelles and the back is finished in long and short gold-filled chain. There is extra chain with a small square ocean jasper bead to give the back of your neck a pretty look. We have included a thumbnail of this for you to see.

Ocean Jasper from Madagascar is one of our favorite stones, with its orbicular patterns and concentric circles of color. This piece is a bit more subtle, in whites, blues and light grey, with a dark green crystal drusy at its center.

Every tiny detail of this one of a kind necklace was designed to bring out the beauty of the stone... to make it sing. It hangs from our signature hammered silver circle, on an organically wire wrapped bail. Rising from the circle are two strands of pretty matte blueish-white Japanese glass seed beads, interspersed with other small accent beads to add color and sparkle. The double strands join with sterling chain on the way to the closure in back, a sterling silver infinity lobster clasp. Opposite the seed beads on the other side, our large circle chain leads to a perfectly matched ocean jasper disc, hand wire-wrapped herringbone style. The centerpiece of 'Madness' is a designer cut Mookaite pendant with light and dark berry colors and a delicious swish of gold/yellow. The bail is organically wrapped in 14K gold-filled wire and attached to three gold jump rings. The gemstone is then suspended from a strand of faceted berry colored Czech glass to give it a little sparkle. Two strands of seed beads float freely above them along with two lengths of different types of gold-filled chains. Nestled in the seed beads are gold beads to add depth and interest.

The seed beads and chains are connected between a hand wire-wrapped mookaite bead on the right, and on the left side a wire wrapped natural ruby that give this beauty its asymmetrical look.

The ruby hugs a gold engraved circle with a wire-wrapped Czech glass bead attached to it. The left side is finished with long and short chain to a gold hammered circle, more long and short chain, to a mookaite round bead at the back.

The pendant stone, in our Oregon Thunderegg necklace, reminded us of a river slicing through the desert. The river is surrounded by white sandy beaches and red hills. If you look closely at the gemstone, see thumbnail above, it almost looks like a topo map. We hand wire-wrapped this teardrop in herringbone style and organically wrapped the bail.

Oregon Thunderegg is suspended from several peachy sparkly seed bead strands. Floating freely above is a small sterling chain.

The seed beads are attached to a hammered circle on the left side and two silver wire-wrapped B.C. jade round beads.

Our signature "swoosh" hangs from the hammered circle and is a kiss of tourmaline.

The necklace is finished with several types of sterling chain and a sterling silver lobster infinity clasp accented with touches of peach adventurine.

The pendant used in this Oregon Thunderegg Whimsey is a lovely slice of Oregon geology. Born from the fires of volcanoes, geodes were spit out and left to lay in the ground for millions of years. Water, earth, and gravity formed these beauties called Thundereggs in Oregon and are Oregon's state rock. They are sliced to make beautiful bookends and pendants and carved to make interesting statues.

The desert of the southwest mixes with the desert of Western Australia to make this one-of-a-kind Whimsey for you. The pendant reminded us of a walk through the desert cliffs of the southwest.

This rectangular pendant of southwest Apache Jasper is an earthy color of pinks, adobe, and golden beige. It is suspended from multiple strands of adobe colored Czech glass seed beads, embellished with small silver beads and a Thai silver tube. The bail is organically wrapped and attached to a hand engraved silver bead.

Joining these seed beads is a silver, long and short chain, floating freely from a hammered silver circle and a wire-wrapped mookaite bead from Western Australia. Our signature "swoosh" hangs from the large hammered circle and is actually a small Czech glass bead.

Ocean Jasper...The Whimsey Necklace

Ocean Jasper from Madagascar is unique for a variety of reasons. The prime one is that the mine was underwater in the ocean. Another is that the mine is now closed, so whatever material is out in the world is all we rockhounds will ever have. We're finding it increasingly difficult to get ocean jasper of this quality... If you find a spectacular piece claim it for your own, because you may never see another like it.

This pendant stone is one of our favorite combinations of color. The deep green background is punctuated with small dots and circles in various shades of earthy-peachy-pink. The crystal cave (aka, "drusy") on the right hand side of the stone gives it just the right amount of sparkle. (You can see it in the close-up.) A true specimen of the gemstone.

The stone rests in a hand wire-wrapped bezel - 28 gauge fine silver wire coiled over 22 gauge sterling - which hugs half of the pendant, echoing the asymmetry of the necklace design. We teamed it with four strands of sparkly, earthy peach Czech glass seed beads that match the dots in the stone. Two of the seed bead strands float freely above the pendant, along with a silver chain.

Ocean Jasper is one of our favorite stones as you can tell from the other offerings. The better pieces are becoming quite rare since the mine closed. We are proud to offer this beautiful stone.

The pendant is a lovely slice of ocean jasper from Madagascar. If you look closely at the gemstone, see above, you will see multiple coral and white circles or spirals on a background of dark sea green. Sparkling out at the bottom of the stone is crystal drusy. We organically wrapped the bail and suspended it from one strand of coral seed beads from Australia.

The rest of the coral seed beads float freely above the stone with an additional strand of peach colored czech glass seed beads to match the sparkle in the stone.

On the right side is a herringbone wire-wrapped ocean jasper round bead that matches our focal stone. The necklace is finished with several types of sterling chain, hammered circles, and silver connector bars.The clasp is infinity lobster in sterling surrounded by faceted moss agate rounds to give the back of your neck some color. Our signature swoosh of gemstone hangs from the left hammered circle. This time it is a faceted tourmaline bead.

Gemstone with bail measures a tad over 1 1/2 inches long.
Gemstone alone is a tad over 1 inch.

We use only the highest quality nickel-free silver, never any base metal.

This necklace comes with its own Whimsey box with snap closure for storage and travel (see bottom right thumbnail), with instructions for long term care of this special piece.

Whimseys are made to be worn around the collar bone and not as a choker. We can add an extender should you need to go longer or we can adjust to a smaller size.

The Whimsey, our signature necklace design, combines multiple strands of seed beads and chain, wire-wrapped asymmetrical accents, hammered silver circles, and the most interesting centerpiece/pendant stones we can find. They are all one-of-a-kind.

The pendant used in Canyonlands is a lovely slice of Oregon geology. Born from the fires of volcanoes, geodes were spit out and left to lay in the ground for millions of years. Water, earth, and gravity formed these beauties called Thundereggs in Oregon and are Oregon's state rock. They are sliced to make beautiful bookends and pendants and carved to make interesting statues.

This stone reminded us of a slot canyon with water churning through it. The painted red hills and blue waters traveling through the sandy desert are definitely Oregon high desert colors.If you look closely at the gemstone, see thumbnail above, you will see periwinkle blue concentric rings separating the crystal from the sandy beige. We hand wire-wrapped this teardrop in a half bezel set and organically wrapped the bail.

Blue Canyon is suspended from several peachy sparkly seed bead strands. With the four strands of seed beads, a small sterling chain is floating freely for interest and depth.

The seed beads are attached to a hammered circle on the right side and a silver wire-wrapped lime green round bead attached to a light teal blue rondelle on the left, both hanging from a sterling hammered triangle.

Our signature "swoosh" hangs from the hammered circle and is an iolite rondelle.

The necklace is finished with several types of sterling chain including double rolo and our own handmade hammered silver toggle clasp.

This luscious cultured freshwater coin pearl is meticulously wire wrapped with a faceted lavender-opal Czech glass bead; a truly lovely fusion of lustre and sparkle in one pendant. It hangs from our favorite sterling silver rolo chain.

A small, wire wrapped rice pearl on one side lends our signature touch of asymmetry. The clasp is a sterling silver spring ring kissed with the same lavender Czech glass to give the back of your neck some sparkle.
