"500 Snacks" and "500 Delicious Dishes from Leftovers" are the titles of these two softcover booklets published by the Culinary Art Institute in 1940 and 1952 respectively.

500 snacks being an older publication has black and white photos on each of its 48 pages of recipes. The sections covered are: bread and pastry snacks, sandwiches and spreads, cold and hot canapes, cold and hot d'oeuvres, hot and cold entrees, salad bowls, platters and plates, frozen and jellied salads, sweet snacks, and garnishes and displays.

Also 48 pages, 500 leftovers includes both black and white photos, a center spread with color photos and find a bonus Pepsi-Cola advertisement that reads, "...Pepsi the most wholesome refreshment you can buy."

This little guy is 4" tall by about 4" wide, but the cup area is 2" across, little bigger than an egg cup. Would look sweet with a candle, millinery flowers or a tiny plant. He is made in Japan and has a very little bit of paint loss her and there on the orange portion. Otherwise great condition!

Is this not sweet? She is giving her doggie its medicine. The caption reads "one teaspoon full three times a day." There is some slight creasing which you can see in the pictures, and a tiny tear just at the bottom, but such a sweet chromo to frame. And the colors are so vivid! From the early 1900's, back is blank, heavy paper. Measures 8 1/2" by 11".

This listing is for 3 sheets of 8 strips (24 all together). Each sheet contains 4 different patterns. The trim measures about 20" long and 1/3 - 1/2 " wide. I bought the trim in a package that includes a tag that says made in Western Germany. They are gold on the front and paper colored on the back.

Because of the long length, the sheets will come folded in half.

This Vintage '40-50's chenille cowboy rug is precious! The colors are still bright and there are no stains. It measures 22" wide by 36" long. It has a few tiny worn spots that can barely be seen. It would make a darling wall hanging or make it into a pillow if you can bare to cut it! Of course you can use on the floor next to a bed as well.

Lovely little French Beaded Flowers. Yellow measure 2 1/2" across, multi orange/yellow/white measure 1 1/2" across, all are approx. 6" tall. Bouquet of 10, 5 yellow, 5 multi.

Fellow blogger, french-treasures told me, "Most of the beaded flowers were made for use on tombs and in cemeteries. They don't wilt or fade and don't blow away."

Fabulous colors on these two chromos. The signature at the bottom of the woman on the telephone is Mary Lafetra Russell. The angel picture is entitled "Angelica" by Boyd, Peoples Journal.

They are are printed on a cardstock weight material and the angel picture is lightly textured. The woman picture measures 8" wide X 11" tall, angels 12" x 10".

How do you like these playing cards? Still wrapped in cellophane, these cards would be as fun to craft with as to play with...perfect size making for banners!

The box itself is not perfect, but it has a nice slide out drawer. Size measures 5" x 7", and I assuming there are 52 cards plus jokers.

Not sure exactly what these are, but my guess is they were feet attached to a piece of furniture. They are really cool, measuring 4" wide x 4" high. The little stem piece sticking out the top is an 1 1/2". They are stained a brown color in rustic condition with carved flowers (?) all around. See all pictures to check out the condition. I know someone out there will have a great artistic use for them!

The adornment on the top consists of a pink handmade flower (using instructions from Julie Collings, "Pretty Little Felts" and fabric from her etsy shop), a vintage velvet leaf, a small bunch of vintage velvet millinery flowers, a large watermelon pink vintage velvet flower, and a rhinestone pin, as well a glittered vintage green bird. The velvet box also has a watermelon pink velvet ribbon around the bottom of the box.

So cute! This transfer pattern from 1940's includes a "colored mammy" doll, a girl doll and a cat "cuddle toys". The pattern comes in the original mailing envelope on which the previous owner pasted the picture from the newspaper advertisement. It is uncut, but folded, obviously. From Laura Wheeler Designs.

These are a steal!

This one is an original plate taken from a book copyright 1917. "Eggs of American Birds" Plate number two is 6"x 9" with about 1 1/2" of white space around it.

There are 24 large eggs pictured, all speckled, some white, some pink, some green. Frame it, copy it for tags, use it in a collage!

These usually sell for $25 - 40 at antique markets. I saw one from the same set of plates on French Garden House.com for $48! Was $24, now $18!

Saw this book on ebay anywhere from $40 - 60. (This is the spiral bound edition which was selling for $60) It has gorgeous color and is printed on cardstock weight paper.

The pages are 8" x 9" and include 16 illustrations, some of which are pictured. It has a little fraying and folding to the corners, a bit of pencil in the top left corner of the front cover, and an inscription inside the cover, but the pages are in lovely condition with no writing, staining or tears.

Enjoy it at a bargain!
