COOL EARTH, inspired by my personal favorite Beads I wear almost daily, is a sculpted set of 9 Lampwork Beads, featuring 4 Hollows, 3 Discs and 2 Rings. I used Warm Raku and Tobacco (left sparkling for contrast with the rest etched) Browns, Black, and cool hand mixed muted Teal, delicious! The Hollows include a 20mm flattened cube with Raku/Black twistie and pale Aqua jewel dots, an Aqua barrel with Raku spots and Jewel dots, a Wheat colored Barrel with Raku twistie, embossed with a swirl and jewel bumps, and a glossy Tobacco 16mm barrel. The 24mm Disc is Pale Aqua, with a fritted and jewel bumped edge, with 2 smaller Wheat and muted Teal discs. The Rings have 1/4" holes, one Pale Aqua and the other glossy Tobacco, also embossed.

COOL EARTH is dressed with mate Raku bugle and seed beads; the strand is brass ox crimped on Soft Flex with gorgeous hand dyed satin I spun into cord for your gentle, instant, and adjustable art to wear.

COLLAR DANCE, the first in a series of Neck Cuffs incorporating my Artquilting with my Lampwork, is a gorgeous 4.5" (inner) or 6" (outer) by 2.25" at the widest CrazyQuilt Neck Cuff. The brightly colored collage base is patched of cotton batiks and hand dyes on cotton batting, with hand dyed tulle ribbon, and scrim (cheesecloth) and lace I dyed. The 33mm (25mm=1")focal fantasy Lampwork Flower Bead has 5 fluted petals of a Mossy Celery Green shaded with Slate Blue, both of which I mixed, with a Fuchsia center encircled by Tangerine anthers. I made 8 small Spacers of the same Celery, Slate and Tangerine, which are used as buds around the assemblage, with various glass flower and leaf beads and hamonious seed beads encrusting this one of a kind Treasure. Gotta' love this style, on a copper base, strong, flexible and awesomely comfortable art to wear, with a layer of batting beneath the batik lining.

Created to compliment the Raggedy Flower Pin of the same Collection, CITY CHICK is a sparkling, contemporary set of 9 Lampwork Beads, composed of 5 freeform Tablets, 2 Rings and 2 large hole Spacers. The Tablets are variegated Peach with precious Amber Rose jewel drops and ruffles, Opaque Red with transparent Red ruffles, Silvered Black and Gray with transparent Gray ruffles, Silvered Black with White dots topped with Black "Lace" with Amber Rose ruffles, and Peach with Black "Lace" and Amber Rose jewel drops and ruffles. The 2 Gray Rings were formed on tubes for a graphic change from my usual scultural work, with 2 Spacers, Red and Amber Rose wound on 1/8" mandrels. I sewed graphic rag beads for spacers, and used silk and rayon ribbons repeating the Raggedy Flower Brooch from this City Chick collection. The strand is Sterling crimped on Soft Flex with Black satin I spun into cord to be tied adjustably as needed for your gentle, instant, and adjustable art to wear.

CITY CHICK RAGGEDY FLOWER PIN is a unique 8" Flower Brooch, a collage composed of 10 separate raw edge fabrics. I chose vintage kimono silks, black satin I discharged, Gray and Red tulle, Silver/Black satin, and Linens. I used my Red glass Lampwork Bead for the center of the linen stamen held with a tiny Black seed bead, and encircled with the same beads. Various hand dyed and specialty ribbons are tied forming a 12" tassle for movement and line, and a folding pin clasp is sewn to the back. The City Chick Necklace repeating the Energy is listed separately.

VINTAGE CHICK RAGGEDY FLOWER PIN is a unique Flower Brooch, a collage composed of 10 separate raw edge fabrics. I chose an Edwardian eyelet, a vintage kimono I discharged, batik print, various linens from decades of collecting Flax, and Olive tulle. I used my Pink glass Lampwork Bead for the center of the linen stamen held with a tiny Antique White seed bead, and encircled with the same beads. Featured is a 38mm Lotus Waterlily Flower Bead, with 8 grooved petals of White tipped with Gold Ruby Fuchsia Pink pulled into rounded points, with a Lime Green stamen encircled with Yellow cane anther dots. Hanging from the Lotus Lily is a 37mm Orange Koi Fish Bead, with lighter fins and ruffled tail, and Black eyes. BABY FACE is a 29mm Lampwork Baby Face Bead, with Flesh tone skin, Blue eyes, Coral rooting mouth, tiny button nose, Pink cheeks, cute little chin, and Amber hair with a forhead curl. Think I was hungry when I made these Tacos last night? I remember the days when I could rustle up some tacos for my family in about 15 minutes...now my husband does it while I cook glass ones, heehee.♥ OLE!!

TWO TINY TACOS is a pair of Earrings I made of a pair of Taco Beads, one about 23mm and the other about 21mm. I mixed the glass for the tortillas, and made them at the same time like shishkabobs, having previously pulled the meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream canes! I wired them on festive Vermeil Headpins I ordered from Bali with White pearls for the final dollop of sour cream, topped with a red seed bead playing tomato. I like my tacos running over, so I added 2 extra dangles with seed beads echoing the food colors. These hang down about 22mm from the Vermeil Fish Hook Earwires.

ROSES ON A ROPE Handmade Lampwork Pandora Bead on Beaded Felted Wool Rope Necklace/Bracelet

This beautiful Encased Bead has 1/4" hole for many uses, but I couldn't resist adding this wet felted addition of Corriedale wet felted wool, because this rare color just happened to be calling out from my hatbox where the wool lives.:)

The color for the background of 19x20mm ROSES Bead is called Leaky Pen, with 3 White Roses with Pink twirled centers and warm Green foliage. It is encased in Crystal and formed into a barrel shape for comfort. The Teal wool rope is beaded with harmonious seed beads of dark and light Pink cubes and rounds, White Pearl, Pink and Green rainbow. I have large hands and this Necklace can be tripled to make a Bracelet, too!

My son bought a chick which was rather bossy to the others, and we named her Annah after my best friend's daughter who bosses her big brother around. She turned out to be a rooster, so we changed his name to Annas, who crows hello to us every time we walk outside.

One day last week, I saw a Mockingbird stealing my Blueberries, and was indignant and felt violated! When our bushes get big, I'll net them to feed berries to my family.:)That scene inspired this Neck Piece.

BLUEBERRY THIEF is an asymetrically arranged, etched, naturally colored assemblage of 44 sculpted Lampwork Beads, composed of 3 clusters of Blueberries, with foliage, and a fat Mockingbird Bead, full of my Berries. The Berries range from Purple, to Blue, to Coral in various stages of maturity. I made the foliage of Ink, Grass and Amber, some dotted with Purple distant Berries. I used a warm Grey/Beige I mixed, Black, White and Raku for the greedy Mockingbird to complete the Nature Study Lampwork Composition.

BLUEBERRY THIEF is elaborately Copper wired with Raku, Coral and Blue Raku seed beads as natural branches, with gorgeous hand dyed rayon ribbon with metallic threads woven, crocheted and spun for your gentle, instant, and adjustable art to wear. Since this Piece is so large, it hangs low on the chest, but you can tie it shorter if you desire.

SILVER DEW MUSHROOMS is an etched (matte) set of 3 Lampwork Mushroom Beads, each different, ranging in size from 30-33mm. I mixed the organically colored glasses for these, adding tiny Pink, Blue and pale Sage Wildflowers and Green Foliage growing at the base of each. The Mushrooms have Raku frit sprinkled spores, and are lined with Raku pleats, with pure Silver deposits like dew on the caps to complete the Lampwork Composition.

Inspired by my friend Joan's beaded bracelet, BLUE HAWAII is a 31x29mm (25mm=1") round Lampwork Tablet Bead formed of Blues and Turquoises with a White Hibiscus rendered on each side having Blue and White twisted stamens. Inspired by a Fish painting I was in a Treasury with, MANDARIN FISH is a set of 9 Lampwork Beads, featuring a 56mm Manderin female Fish Bead with a Tan body with Teal, Orange and Black stacked markings. The colors of Sky Blue, Amber, Aqua and Sapphire Blue are used in his fins and tail, ridged, scalloped, with Black added to her top fins. She has plunged bubble eyes with Black eyeliner, and Golden Amber lips. I made pairs of Orange, Tan, Aqua and Black Spacer Beads, repeating the color pallet to complete the Composition.

As I walked near our pond, out of the corner of my eye, I saw an Eagle glide across the whole width of our lot without flapping his wings once! He glided from the old Oak aviary next door, but when he saw me, he kept on soaring. His White head and tail distinguished him from our common Hawks, and I was very blessed to see such a visitor in Louisiana.:)

STARS & STRIPES is a gorgeous, sparkling double strand composed of a dozen glass Lampwork Beads, featuring a large 35mm Cobalt Blue Heart Bead, with a Red and White striped Flag Banner twirled on both ends, and a tiny White Star from a murini cane I made in my patriotic zest. One dozen transparent Red jewel bumps frame the Heart forming a border. I fashioned 2 tiny White Star Beads, 16-17mm, 2 round Nuggets, 19-20mm, repeating the design of the Heart Focal, and a 30mm Flag Banner Bead, requiring its own strand to hang above.:) Six Red and Blue Spacers complete the Lampwork I used in this Composition.

The knotted ribbon fringe inspired by Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl, HYDRANGEA COLLAR is an assemblage of 7 Lampwork Beads, composed of 3 sculpted 37-42mm Hydrangea Floret Beads, the central Focal with 4 petals, and the flanking Flowers with 3. These petals are Ombre' from Grass to Sapphire to Lavender to Tourmaline, fluted and pulled into graceful points, with Green and Blue cane raised stamens. Two veined and scalloped Grass and Amber Hydrangea Leaf Beads and a pair of Black and Yellow Honey Bee Beads with Amber wings, complete the Lampwork Vignette.

HYDRANGEA COLLAR is copper wired with Lavender AB seed beads, but I had a nap yesterday, so embellishment happened. Next I wove a length of gorgeous hand dyed Green and Lavender rayon ribbon with Bluish metallic edging through the strand, then began the freeform crochet above the Lampwork Beads. Next came the knotted fringe, but I had just received some antique cotton net lace so I ruched a length rescued from an Edwardian fancy to create a little subtle contrasting layer. The whole delightful Collar got a sprinkling of Lavender AB seeds and voila! The original simple length of ribbon ties at the nape for your gentle, instant, and adjustable art to wear.

PINK SILVER SHELL is a small, etched (matte) Lampwork Seashell Bead, a finely executed Conch Shell Bead, measuring about 26mm, of Shell Pink, with swirling Raku frit in 2 sizes. The lip is ridged and scalloped, and lined with striking Carnelian. The back is flattened so it stays put somewhat better (rounder ones bounce too high:), and I added grooved swirls below the spines, magnified with Crystal domes. Finally, tiny nuggets of pure Silver are deposited on the Shell.

PINK SILVER SHELL is dressed with 2 Sterling cage beads I ordered from Bali and Raku seed beads; the strand is Sterling crimped on Soft Flex, with Coffee satin cord I spun into cord for your instant, gentle and adjustable art to wear.

My friend Liz is a fan of a clothing designer named Magnolia Pearl, and she lent me her book last weekend, as I am interested in Peacocks. Inspired by the book, I created this unique and bold piece...hope you like it.

PEACOCK FEATHER is a gorgeous, beaded piece which could be used many ways. The Purple in the actual Flower is not as beautiful as these pictures turned out. It's pretty, but my camera sure enhanced it.

I've had custom orders for Necklaces, but this is the first one I have ever offered that I remember, with a clasp.:) That might mean an up-do; the Flower is so heavy, it could not risk being swung as a pendant...might hurt the wearer.:)

PASSIONFLOWER is a set of 3 Lampwork Beads strung into a 17.25' Choker, featuring a large 47mm Passionflower Blossom Bead, with 5 Ombre' grooved petals fading from Amber, to Blue, to Purple, on the top layer, and 5 grooved Purple petals on the bottom layer. These 10 petals are pulled into graceful points. I used an Auburn cane for the star shaped stamen dotted with Golden Yellow Anthers. The 5 grooved sections of the Passionflower Leaf are formed of Grass Green, and pulled into interesting points. A smaller mustache Leaf is Green and Amber, announcing the buds formed of Peach and Yellow AB Czech crustals, with Brass Ox bead caps used as calyxes.

PASSIONFLOWER is asymetrically arranged as the plant grows, strung with seed beads echoing the sweet colors; the Necklace is Copper crimped on Soft Flex, with a Brass Ox hook on one end, for your gentle, instant, and slightly adjustable (2 holes made with crimps) art to wear.
