This is a very special group of Egg Gourd Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments have been done in an original Kente cloth witch is from my stash that I purchased in NY some time ago.
Red, Black and Green are the official colors of Kente cloth. This fabric has been decoupaged to an egg gourd and covered with glitter in between the fabric. They are very striking and different. Decorative elastic gold twine and ribbon has been added, and tied into a bow along with a gold loop for hanging......

The entire ornament has lots of coats of glaze to give it a luxurious finish. Smooth to the touch. These will last a lifetime...

These will come packaged for gift giving and storage....

The pictures are showing one and along with a group of three or a group of six. These can be broken down to be purchased as one, three or six....The choice is yours.

This is something new that I have tried....I am very excited about the way it has turned out.....This multi colored mixed media kettle gourd is approx: 8" tall....

I've use lots of different materials to make this happen....
anything that could be attached was used, using a special product to make it happen.....everything is hard to the touch and firmly attached....

You will like looking at it....like I did when making it....it was very hard to stop adding.....also looks like a glitter ball ready to be dropped for new years eve.....

The original stem has been wired wrapped.....

The whole piece has been treated with several coats of a fixative so nothing rubs off on you and it will last for many years........

This is a very beautiful gourd bowl! Reminds me of something you might see in Tuscany a region of central Italy. The color is monochromatic white and off white, finished with an antique glaze. Each flower was created petal by petal and leaf by leaf using a sculpt product. What you are seeing is an array of different flowers flowing all around the gourd which has a scalloped edge, with streaming vines. This beautiful bowl evokes both a look of fine porcelain and as well as translucent ceramic.

Very large approx: 42” in diameter and stands approx: 8.5" tall. A glaze of many coats has been applied.

This gourd piece is my ~~WHIMSICAL~~ piece which I have named... ~~~~~~ MR RABBIT ~~~~~~ very adorable looking... you almost expect to hear him saying something ....this was a lot of fun making....

The entire piece was woodburnded first....the face and all the features are made from a sculpt product, that has been individually built than attached to the gourd.....

The original stem is still attached and a little hat with a matching tassel was built around it.....

Colors are gray, purple, green and pink......an antique glaze is applied to give it an aged look....

This is truly an inspiration from God, who inspires me each and everyday. I give Him thanks for all that I do.

This ~~GOURD PAPER WEIGHT~~ was in my head when I woke up one day. I went into the studio and found some small canteen gourds.

The gourd is filled with small stones and then sealed up.

The images were decoupage over the entire gourd in various positions, highlighted with gilders paste, stains and antique glazes. This gives it an old world look. That is the look that I wanted to achieve....very old, and have been around for a long time.

Feels good in your hands, has a few distinguish lumps, that is what I wanted to accomplish so you would stop and admire each image.

Enjoy and wait for the complements to follow, truly a conversation piece.

This GOURD is a beauty if I must say so myself....One of a kind...

Starting at the top a gold tone finial is added adorned with a dot of sculpt in a teal color...sits on the top of the GOURD that was pyrographed with deep cuts...A piece of bamboo is running through secured with sculpt..on the ends of the bamboo there is sculpt and another small piece of bamboo that was cut to form a circle...

Decoupaged in gourgeous artist acid free art papers..
Papers were applied first than they were pyrographed deep cuts to give a unique design....Around the base it was pyrographed with deep cuts also... A round wood stand is attached with a sculpt that is solid and will not seperate.

The rich colors are teals,rust,greens,soft yellows,hint of reds and hint of black....I gave it a soft touch of gilded gold and dots I just love dots....

Size is approx: 20" tall and 34" round.....
This is a piece of SCULPTURED ART that will enhance any room and receive lots of compliments....This is a TREASURE..

ELEPHANT BOWL

This is a beautiful and very unique bowl. The elephant is sitting on the top standing tall the trunk is reaching high. The elephant is made from a resin product, color is a strong deep yellowish color with black marbleized tones.
The elephant stands about 3” tall and is approx: 5 ½ long.

Made from a 9" canteen gourd which is approx: 28 1/2 round.
Cowry shells are inserted around the bowl... a special technique has also been added to give this bowl a raised texture.......a unique decoupage technique also has been used. A very unusual color this is. I would say a color that you might think a jungle would be, dark and mysterious, inside it has been stained to complement the outside.

Not to be used for anything wet and not for food……

Several coats of a fixative applied for a durable finish….
