Tiny seed beads are stitched into a ruffled disk shape around a gleaming electric blue shimmerstone (glass cabochon with vibrant colour beneath the glass). The colours go from deep blue through purples and pinks, with a light raspberry red around the edge. Finished with a glossy black beaded loop for hanging, and slipped onto a 19-inch 2mm clear stretchy cord with silverplated springring clasp.

These earrings began after I impulsively bought two crystal copper beads at the town bead store, not knowing what I'd do with them.
A pair of anything tends to indicate earrings, and after a couple weeks, I realized they'd go with some colorado topaz crystal already in my stash. Mix in some strands of chain and this neat Egyptian-nouveau chandelier was born!

This is the very pair of earrings featured in the Dec/Jan issue of BeadStyle, on stands now. I designed them, made them, and now's your chance to own that very pair!

All metals are silverplated.
Hangs 2 1/2” (almost 7 cm) long from the base of the ear hook or hoop, and are finished with either silver plated ear hooks, or silver plated 13mm retractable hoops for non-pierced ears. The top photo shows the style with the silver plated ear hooks.

Let me tell you about these earrings. I love to take them out and admire them. I’m entranced by the play of colours within the paua abalone shell; predominantly blues and greens, with hints here and there of gold and pink. Out of many other shells, I selected these two for their brighter colours, with nary a dull spot to be seen. Freshwater pearls in shimmering blue crown these truly enchanting earrings. Hangs 2 1/2” (about 5 cm) long from the base of the ear hook or hoop, and are finished with either silver plated ear hooks, or silver plated 13mm retractable hoops for non-pierced ears. Inspired by the stunning graphic design of the Twilight books, I stitched up this lovely set of dog-tag style pendants.
The background of the Twilight tag is stitched in frosted black. The hands are done in pale, pale flesh toned Delica beads, cradling the iconic apple--a bright scarlet Swarovski crystal!
For the New Moon tag, I chose a bright glossy green for the stem, transparent frosted white and opaque shiny red for the lily petals.
The Eclipse tag has a simple frosted black background, the better to showcase the glossy crimson ribbon!
The Breaking Dawn tag features the White Queen in frosted transparent white, and the Red Pawn in shiny crimson.
To ensure the accuracy of these tags, I studied the book covers intently while charting each pattern, and I really think it shows in the pendants.

Many tiny glass beads are meticulously stitched into a pair of miniature 'flags' in a dog-tag style pendant and hung from a ball chain. Be you German-, Italian-, English-, Jamaican-American, or any combination of the above, now you have a new way to show your heritage! I will stitch you a pair of tags in your preferred two flag patterns. For example, an Italian FlagTag paired with an American FlagTag for Italian-American heritage, or Italy with Jamaica for Italian-Jamaican heritage, or... you get the picture.
My customers also buy these to indicate their favourite futbol/soccer teams.

The pictures in this listing are just a small sample of the flags I can do. Though a few of the world's flags may be too complex to accurately capture in a bead pattern, most of them translate beautifully to this small scale, and I will do my utmost to accomodate any national flag request.
