These two beads are made from nice white stoneware clay. I cut the clay while still wet, impress the design and then fire to bisque temperature.

Each bead is carefully glazed on all sides with my studio mixed cobalt or clear glaze and fired to high temperature.

These two multi-purpose holder/displays were made by me with White Stoneware clay. I use a large Extruder (think big play-doh fun factory) to make square tubes. After the wet clay sets up a little I cut these holders to size and add various textures and glazes.

Many of these are glaze experiments and lots are in series. They are generally 2" X 3" and up.

These are stamped with simple designs while the clay is still wet. After bisque-firing I coated with a nice clear glaze and fired up to Cone 6. This particular batch of clear glaze really enhances the beauty of the natural white clay.

Each is dishwasher and food safe.

On the left #1 - Stamped on the front and the inside back in a scroll pattern. The front is a little lower and best suited for business cards, ACEOs and postcards. It will also work for sponges, etc.

On the right #2 - Stamped with Dots on the front and cut slightly assymetrical. The front is higher and suited for a sponge holder but also good for displaying cards as well.

This is a set of two small vessels is decorated in relief with small branches from my yard. Each was extruded from white stoneware clay. I added a base and impressed the design while the clay was still wet. After low firing I applied my studio mixed cobalt glaze to both. The taller one was buffed and then dipped in a clear glaze. The final firing gives these two votives their shiny finish.

Size: 3 1/4" tall and 1 1/2" tall and both are 2 1/2" in diameter.

The last picture shows the potter's wheel area of my studio. ;-).

Descriptions start with the right front and going counter clockwise:

#1 - Embossed Red Heart - This heart was cut then stamped with a heart stamp. After bisque firing, I applied my studio-mixed deep red glaze. The stamped design breaks nicely with this glaze.

#2 - Blue Key to My Heart - The soft heart was stamped with a small key and then bisque fired. This glaze is my studio mixed hawaiian blue glaze.

#3 - Blue Swirl Heart - I hand painted the swirl and dots pattern with engobes then coated with a smooth clear glaze.

#4 - Smooth Red Heart - This simple heart has no stamp or texture, just a nice coat of my deep red studio mixed glaze.

This is a fun bicycle tile. The design is based on a vintage child's puzzle I found. It would make a great focal tile for mosaic design.

The tile is hand made from white stoneware clay. The clay has nice vanilla bean flecks from iron in the clay.

I extrude the tiles, cut to length and then bisque fire. After bisque firing I painted the bicycle design with engobes (a pigment rich glaze) and coated in a clear glaze on the front. The back is unglazed and signed in glaze pencil. The tiles are then high fired to be food and dishwasher safe.

I can add cork or felt to the bottoms. Cork for the kitchen and felt for the desk. :-).

The stand is not included but you can find them in other listings or convo me.

This tile is hand made with white stoneware clay with nice vanilla bean flecks (iron). I extrude the tiles, cut them to length and then bisque fire. After bisque firing I free-hand painted the guitar with engobes. Then I add a clear coat to the front and high fire.

The back is not glazed and I signed with fired in glaze pencil. I added cork feet at the bottom to protect your counter, desk, etc.

The stand is not included but you can see them in other listings.

I love painting on tiles and gladly consider custom orders.

Each cup is a little different and between 3-4 inches high. They are wheel-thrown by me from Stoneware Clay. I applied some slight textures while the clay was still wet. After bisque firing I glazed each in my studio-mixed Cobalt Blue Glaze. The glaze is applied to overlap for more depth and variety. They were then fired to Cone 6 (over 2000 degrees).

Orb 1 - Meditation Orb/3D Mandala

This art piece was created over many months and hours. The orb was wheel-thrown with white stoneware clay. I then trimmed/carved the top for a nice round and smooth surface. I painted the designs with engobe underglazes, firing at various intervals then painting more designs before the final firing under a clear shiny glaze. The inside is unglazed and shows the nice white clay.

This orb provided me with lots of hours of meditative painting. I love Mandalas and the idea of creating them in 3D. This is a series I will continue to explore.

This set of 3 ornaments is made from white stoneware clay. I have been making a lot of these and this is the last of the stoneware ones. You will receive the 3 pictured.

The next batch is porcelain and due out of the kiln any day now.

These are each a simple cookie-cutter star with a butterfly stamped in the center. I then apply one or two colors of engobe glaze and wipe off to highlight the stamp. Then a clear glaze goes over that. These were fired to bisque temperature and then to Cone 6 (over 2000 degrees F).

The backs are unglazed and are initialed tl; one is also signed with the year 09.

Suitable for indoor or outdoor.

This Berry Bowl and matching plate are perfect for rinsing and enjoying berries, grapes, cherries, edamame, mini carrots... lots of healthy stuff. The plate doubles as a nice small snack or cheese plate.

Red is the color of hospitality, and the bowl is a symbol for prosperity and blessings of food.

This wheel-thrown set was made with white stoneware and then fired to bisque temperature. After the bisque firing, I applied my deep red studio glaze and fired to Cone 6. All glazes are dishwasher safe, food-safe and lead free.

This set has some glaze overlap, and some minor flaws contribute to its handmade charm.

Berry Bowl: approximately 3" tall and 6" diameter at the rim 3 1/2" diameter base. The top rim is unglazed and slightly flared for easier handling.

Snack Plate: 1" lip, 7" diameter at the top, 6" diameter at the foot, foot is unglazed.

The plate is signed and dated 2009. The berry bowl is signed but the glaze is nice and thick so it is very hard to see. This set was made together in the same wheel throwing session, glazings, etc.

Slip - painted vase

My slip-painted works are created with a hand-blended cobalt slip (a mixture of clay and coloring oxide) painted on my hand-thrown stoneware pottery. These works are usually numbered and cataloged to track the glaze properties.

The vase was painted while still in the greenware state (not fired yet) and then fired to Cone 04 bisque. The vase was then dipped in my clear studio glaze and high-fired. This technique results in a subtle almost pastel blue design.

Vase is numbered #347, stamped and dated 2007.

All glazes are food-safe, dishwasher-safe and lead free.

Tulipiere - Red Flower Vase

This tulipiere is one of two that I made in 2009. I like to make these in pairs and this is one from the 2d pair made. This is one is the more symmetrical and not as weird as the "moonscape" version.

The first two photos are the actual tulipiere you will receive. The last two photos shows one of the earlier pair to illustrate what the tulipiere looks like with flowers.

These are fun if you like flowers and want a different way to arrange/present them. There is one center opening and then 8 openings all around.

The base pot and parts were wheel-thrown by me. First the main vessel is thrown and then the 8 tunnel parts were thrown separately from one hump of clay and attached while still a little wet. The tunnels vary in height from 1/2" to 1" depending on the angle you measure from.

Each opening can hold multiple stems. This vase is glazed inside and out with Red Raspberry studio-mixed glaze. It's dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

The foot is unglazed and signed.

It looks great with any mix of colors.

5.5” tall with large central about 3 ¼ “ diameter. 8 smaller openings tubes about 1” diameter and about 1” tall.

This miniature vase was thrown by me on the potter's wheel and hand trimmed. It's glazed in my studio-mixed Hawaiian Blue Glaze. It is applied in layers so it's got some nice green on the thin parts.

Great for dollhouses and to hold those tiny wildflowers (they are not weeds!) that sprout up in the yard. These can also be used to hold cheese picks, a/k/a toothpicks. The glazes are dishwasher safe, food safe and lead free.

We use them all over the place with small kitchen matches (strike on the unglazed foot of the pot) wherever we need matches. Please keep out of reach of small children. :-).

This Vase has a nice Blue and Lavender effect. It reminds me of clouds, mountains and snow. The colors and cloud like qualities are the result of two different glazes meeting and reacting together in multiple firings.

This Japanese-style lantern is designed to be used outside in your garden or indoors in your home. Each lantern is one-of-a-kind, hand-thrown on my pottery wheel and assembled in my studio. This is one of a series of lanterns I have thrown and assembled in the last 2 years.

This particular lantern has window cut-outs on 2 sides and a star and moon cut-out on the remaining two sides. After assembly and cutting, the white stoneware clay is fired twice, once to a bisque state, then glazed with a white glaze and then high fired to Cone 9. The high firing makes it frost resistant and suitable for outdoors. I have one in my pond. :-).

The lid is removable and the lantern is hollow. This piece is beautiful on its own but can be lit from within by a candle, electric candle, outdoor "Malibu"-type lighting (the lid will get hot). Included is a battery operated LED puck light which provides a nice glow both indoors and out.

Stamped by the artist and dated 2007.

Size: 14" tall and approximately 10" at its widest point.

This is the last one in this series of white and cobalt blue swirl. I will be posting one in my red raspberry glaze soon.

This wheel-thrown set was made with white stoneware and hand swirled with cobalt slip then covered in a clear glaze. The cobalt contrasts nicely with the white clay body.
These have been bisque fired and then high fired in an electric kiln to Cone 8. The white stoneware clay has some tiny "vanilla bean" flecks in it. (zoom in for a look). All glazes are studio-made, dishwasher, food-safe and lead-free.

Bowl: 3" tall and 6" diameter at the rim and 3 1/2" at the bottom. The bottom is glazed and top rim flared and unglazed for better handling.

Snack Plate: 1" tall and 5 1/4" diameter, foot is unglazed.

This stunning glass mosaic birdhouse was made with over 500 stained glass pieces and is embellished with over 100 Swarovski crystals. The crystal piece on the front tip is from a vintage pin (zoom in for a close look). The hand-cut stained glass pieces are multi-colored with lots of pink on the bottom part. The birdhouse is made from a basic wooden structure then unique glass pieces are hand-cut, glued, grouted and then sealed with a 2-part polymer resin. The birdhouse is beautiful for indoors or mounted and used outside (preferably not in direct sunlight).

This piece was made by my very talented sister Linda Lewis White. She also does custom tabletops and bar tops. Convo me if you want to see some pics of those.

This Decorative Birdhouse was made by me on the potter's wheel with white Texas Stoneware clay and glazed in my studio-mixed red glaze. The glaze is super glossy and I applied it to overlap and run. It gives a nice rustic look, rather than a solid red.

The main entrance hole is formed with a slight lip at the top to divert rain. There is a hole in the bottom and three on the back for air circulation. It's topped off with a recycled wire hanger in black red and white. This birdhouse was fired to Cone 6 in my electric kiln and is dishwasher (and weather) safe.

Size: 5" tall 3 1/2" bottom diameter.

This birdhouse is not signed but it will come with a signed certificate.

This small blue vase is 3" tall and shaped to give it an organic, fluid feel. It's simple but still in the spirit of the Art Nouveau style. It has 6 sides and 6 feet.

This listing is for the vase (and flower frog pin) in the first picture only. The small flower frog (pin) is used to hold your flower stems. These vases display flowers beautifully in small spaces or large. In singles or bunches. The idea is to cut the stem to the size that works for you and place them on the frog pin, place the rocks on top and then fill with water.

These vases are extruded rather than thrown on the wheel. An extruder is like a big Play-Doh Fun Factory, but mounted on the wall. These are extruded with a die that makes a nice six-sided tube. I then create the feet, add a bottom and finish off the edges to give them a nice organic shape.

I can also include the gravel but convo me to leave out if you want to save on shipping :-).

This is one in a series of 3 made at the same time (see pics). They all feature my studio mixed Hawaiian Blue Glaze. They are fired to Cone 8 and are dishwasher and food safe. They would also make nice candle holders for larger candles, votives, or desk accessories, or candy/nut servers or....

The simple carved lines and organic shape of this vase make it a beautiful container for all types of flowers or as a nice accent all on its own. Why just give flowers when you can present them in a beautiful handmade work of art.

This vase was thrown on the wheel using nice white Texas stoneware clay then altered and carved. After bisque firing, the piece was glazed with a clear glaze and then high fired to Cone 9.

Size: 6 1/2" tall, 4" inside diameter at the top, 3 1/4" diameter at the foot.

Signed and dated 2007 and numbered 170 in my glaze reference series.
