Mini Memo Board or Photo Holder

I was fortunate to score these vintage credit slip holders at the DC Big Flea and decided they would make adorable memo boards or photo holders. They are fabulous! Hang from a door knob, on the wall, or anywhere you might be inclined to stash notes, memos or receipts.

Each is an authentic vintage metal credit slip holder that has been altered with patterned paper and other embellishments. It has been tied with a coordinating ribbon for ease of hanging. A metal spring-loaded arm is attached to the front and pulls back to allow you to slip in a photo or note. Once released, it will spring closed securing the contents safely to the front.

Because they are vintage, each shows some wear, chipping and/or rust in some places...but they are overall in great condition and their imperfections add just the right amount of vintage charm (in my opinion;)

You will receive the memo board shown in photos, 1, 2, 4, and 5. Photo 3 is being shown as a sample of another memo board on display.

Holiday Vintage Book Journal

I love the holiday season – the decorating, the celebrations, the time spent with family – but it seems to be gone in the blink of an eye! One of my favorite things to do during this time of year is keep a holiday journal or mini-album to document my memories. It helps me to slow down and take some time to focus on what I love rather than getting caught up in the rush and chaos.

This year, I have adapted my vintage book journal to create a holiday-themed album to share with you. Each is made from beautifully patterned covers from old readers digest books and loaded with fun patterned new and vintage papers; including music, cardstock, patterned paper, flashcards, envelopes, tags, cookbook pages, vintage texts and dictionary pages. They are great to give as a gift for keep for yourself to use an art journal, create a photo scrapbook album, or simply record your thoughts, wishes and dreams.

The covers have been embellished with thoughtful accents to create a truly special vintage look. The spine has been replaced with metal grommets and held together with two rings to give you the freedom to add additional pages and/or other ephemera. On the interior are 50+ pages of various patterned and vintage papers.

Since the covers (and some papers) are vintage, they are not shiny and new. Some are faded and worn in places, which adds to their charm in my opinion;)

Vintage Postcard Posies

These fanciful little flowers combine two of my favorite bits of vintage paper goodness – old world French postcards and paper forget-me-nots. They are fun and pretty and unlike actual flowers, they will last and last. Arrange them all together in a single vase or in a variety of different vases or bottles. They would also look beautiful tied to the top of a gift or package.

Each is carefully crafted with reproductions of vintage French postcards printed on heavy cardstock and cut into varying circle sizes. They are then crinkled and brushed with chalk inks to give them an aged appearance. A single spray of paper forget-me-not paper millinery flowers is threaded through the middle with a wire stem and a coordinating bead separates each layer. The stem is wrapped with floral tape to give it a finished look. Bouquets will come tied with a frayed fabric tie and/or seam binding.

You will receive a set of 3 paper posies in lavender and yellow as shown in the first photo. The set in the 3rd photo are not included, but are being shown as samples.

I have many more flower colors available. Convo me if you are looking something specific and/or want a larger order.

Because of their delicate nature, these bouquets require box shipment, which is why their shipping is a bit higher than just regular first class postage. Don't worry, they are worth it;)

The stem is finished with floral tape and each layer of "petals" is hand-aged to give the bouquet its vintage appearance. Bouquets will come tied with a length of vintage seam binding.

May your days be merry and bright. This sweet little original collage was created with a variety of beautiful vintage papers, buttons, and embellishments and framed in a shadow box. It would make a great gift or decoration for your home during the holiday season.

a neutral patterned paper is stitched to a foam board (to give the piece depth inside the frame). On the front a message of merriness is printed on ledger paper and attached to the outside of the frame with a felt poinsettia flower in the center. On the inside, small squares of aged and distressed vintage and patterned papers create a colorful collage with vintage charm.

The frame is a shadow box of sturdy fiber board covered in black fabric with a plexiglass window. It can be displayed on a table (open or closed) or hung on a wall - giving your home a little touch of vintage christmas.
