The top of this pillow is sewn almost completely by hand. It is considered a type of quilting, even though there is not any actual quilting on the pillow. It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pillow cover is quite heavy because each white square is four layers thick. I took this traditional pattern and gave it a modern twist using the aqua batik fabrics. The fabrics are 100% cotton. It is very easy to remove the pillow because of the overlapping back which can be seen in the last photo. I used a red batik print fabric for the back of the pillow.

I pre-washed each of the batik fabrics that were used, until the water ran clear, but I would only hand-wash this cover in cold water and dry flat, as this will keep the fabrics bright for a long time.

I love to see the color pop against the crisp white fabric. This quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted. I did a free motion meandering stitch in white cotton thread across the entire quilt. The backing fabric has little paw prints in all the colors of the fabric on the front. The binding is doubled and mitered and one side is sewn down by hand for durability and a professional finish. The batting is cotton Warm and Natural.

This quilt has been washed after finishing so that it has a vintage puckered look and so that you will not be afraid to use it, love it and wash it when needed.

This pillow cover screams "FRESH and summer fun. The perfect item to brighten up your home. I used Paula Prass's Flight Collection by Michael Miller. The lime green and turquoise colors against the white backdrop remind me of a tranquil carribean oasis. This pillow top is completely handsewn except for when I attached the envelope back to the top. The seams are finished with an overcast stitch. I used Robert Kaufmann white muslin for the blocks.

I used 1000, give or take a few, fabric strips to make this very heavy lap quilt. I sewed the strips onto a foundation of fabric, thereby making this quilt four layers thick. Three fabric layers and one layer of Warm 'n Natural cotton batting. It is sure to keep even the coldest person warm. The back is pieced with a solid dark blue and red cotton fabric with a strip of striped blocks going through the middle. It is two quilts in one. It was machine pieced and quilted. The binding is pieced by alternating the dark blue and red cotton fabric and it is mitered on the corners, doubled and sewn down by hand on the back for a professional finish and durability. It has been washed once after finishing so that you know what it will look like after you do the same.

It measures 46" x 70".

This quilt has hand and machine appliqued palm trees with 3-D palm leaves. It would make a great lap quilt or wallhanging in your beach themed room. I machine quilted clouds and seagulls in the sky and outline quilted the leaves and trunks. The backing fabric is sand with tufts of grass sticking out of it. The binding is doubled and mitered and one side is sewn down by hand for durability and a professional finish. I used Warm and Natural batting with is an 80/20 cotton blend for the middle of this quilt.

The quilt measures 36" x 58".

I normally wash my quilts, but I am leaving the choice up to you on how you want this one to look. If washed in cool water and laid flat to dry, it will look the same, but if washed in cool water and dried, it will give it a puckered, vintage look from the batting shrinkage.

I love all of the bright color that dances across this baby quilt. I used the "Color Play" fabric line by Cheri Strole. The pattern I used is called "French Braid". It is machine pieced and machine quilted with a red cotton thread. The binding is mitered on the corners, doubled and sewn down by hand on the back for a professional finish and durability. It has been washed once after finishing so that you know what it will look like after you do the same. The backing is red with white spots and the batting is Warm and Natural cotton.

It measures 40" x 40".

This tumbler quilt is machine pieced with 100% cotton fabrics in bright colors and machine quilted by me with pink cotton thread. The back of this quilt is a solid pink fabric as shown in the last photo. The binding is mitered on the corners, doubled and sewn down by hand on the back for a professional finish and durability. I used 80 cotton/20 polyester Warm N Natural batting in the middle.

I used multiple different bright fabrics and cut over 300 tumbler blocks to construct the top of this quilt.

If you don't have a baby or a toddler in your home, then this would be lovely as artwork on your walls or take it to the park and have a picnic on it.

It measures 43" x 48".

I usually wash all my quilts when they are finished, but have decided to let you decide how you would like your quilt to look. You may wash it in cool water with mild detergent and hang to dry or, if you prefer that vintage, puckered look, then dry on medium heat.

This quilt is made with high-quality quilt fabric by Windham's called Black and White and Red Allover. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with an ecru thread in a meandering and hearts pattern throughout the quilt.

I backed it with a daisy fabric that is also part of the collection and the binding is made with the same fabric as the backing. You can see this fabric in the last photo. The binding on the quilt is mitered on the corners, doubled and sewn down by hand on the back for a professional finish and durability. It has Warm and Natural 80% cotton and 20% polyester blend batting for the middle.

It has not been washed yet, as I would like you to decide how you want it to look. If you machine wash in cool water with mild detergent and line dry, there will be minimal shrinkage, but if you toss it in the dryer, it will have that vintage puckered look. I prefer this puckered look, but not everyone does, therefore, I have left it up to you.

It measures 36" x 42".

I like find fabrics that would make great baby boy quilts. There are so few on Etsy and I want to change that. As the mom of two boys, I understand the need for non-girly quilts that even dad would approve of. I used at least 20 different high quality, blue, cotton fabrics and machine pieced them together to create this fabulous string quilt. It is machine quilted in each seam with a light blue cotton thread and Warm and Natural cotton batting. The back is pieced with three strips of fabric that were also used in the front of the quilt. The binding is doubled and mitered and one side is sewn down by hand for durability and a professional finish. I washed this quilt when it was finished so that you will see what it will look like after you love it and wash it.

This quilt is the second of two quilts. The backings are a little different, so they would make a great gift for twin boys.

This quilt measures 34" X 40".

The top of this pillow cover contains 297 fabric pieces cut and machine sewn together to create this classic pattern. I machine quilted it with a layer of polyester batting. The seams are overcast so there are no raw seams. I used seven different black and white cotton prints and scraps of white solid cottons. The back is a solid black cotton and has an envelope back.

It measures 18" square.

You may hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and lay flat to dry. A warm iron can be used if necessary.

If you want to add a bright and cheery feel to your room or summer porch, then this is the pillow cover for you. The top of this pillow is made completely by hand. It is considered a type of quilting, even though there is not any actual quilting on the pillow. It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pillow cover is quite heavy because each white square is four layers thick. I took this traditional pattern and gave it a modern twist using eye-popping colors of red and pink that reminded me of a visit to the fair. The fabrics are high quality cotton. It is very easy to remove the pillow because of the overlapping back which can be seen in the last photo. I used a red and pink cotton batik fabric to back the pillow cover.

This pillow cover is made with half square triangles from Moda's The Hamptons line of red, white and blue nautical fabric. I appliqued a sailboat on the front with fusible iron on and then zig-zag stitched around it. The back it the same red fabric as the applique and has an overlapping back for easy placement and removal of the pillow insert.

This pillow measures 16" x 16".

It can be washed in mild detergent on a mild setting and dried on low in your machine if needed, although I would recommend hand washing and air drying for life long enjoyment. It can be ironed on a cool setting if needed.

This pillow cover screams "FRESH". The perfect item to brighten up your home. I used Paula Prass's Flight Collection by Michael Miller. The lime green and turquoise colors against the white backdrop remind me of a tranquil carribean oasis. This pillow top is completely handsewn except for when I attached the envelope back to the top. The seams are finished with an overcast stitch. I used Robert Kaufmann white muslin for the blocks.
